Been taking my Jeep here for service ever since I bought it. For the most part the service has been fine, but this last time I went for an oil change and tire rotation I had potentially one of the worse exp it. For the most part the service has been fine, but this last time I went for an oil change and tire rotation I had potentially one of the worse experiences I’ve had from a service department in a long time. Granted I went on a Saturday and they informed me they was a “little” backed up. I figured no biggie and wasn’t expecting to be there for no more than an hour. Keep in mind this is supposed to be express service. Three hours later I am informed they broke a wheel stud when they started to rotate my tires and told me that they stopped working on my Jeep. I was then grilled about where I got my Jeep serviced last and when they realized it was them they proceeded to grill me about if I had removed any of the wheels since last service which I had not. When that angle didn’t work they went to tell me that I had after market wheel lugs and they had to go to the custom shop and find another one and make sure the lugs was the same thread pitch as the wheel stud. Both studs and lugs are factory. They went to as far as arguing with me when I told them the lugs was stock. Things got worse when I suggested that their technician may have made a mistake and broke the wheel stud. They finally admitted it was a stock lug and proceeded to tell me they was bringing my Jeep around and I would have to bring it back Monday so they can finish rotating the tires.So, they bring my Jeep up with a lug missing and a broke stud and was ready to get me out of there. Told them I wasn’t leaving without the stud fixed and I wasn’t driving my Jeep like that. Still, keep in mind I live about 40 miles away and been there over three hours at this point. They reluctantly fixed the stud, didn’t finish rotating my tires. They sent me home without billing me at least. Between the drive and the time wasted at the dealership, I lost about four and a half hours of my life for an oil change not to mention deal with a lot of grief over something they broke. Third car I bought from this dealership and always had my vehicle serviced with them and I get treated like trash over a $14 wheel stud they broke. This is the second time this service department broke a stud off the same vehicle. Last time they broke one I was there two hours. If your goal is to run off customers, you succeeded. More
