I am profoundly disappointed. I brought my '06 Z06 in for service on Nov. 30, 2021 after a check engine light appeared on the dash. The clutch pedal sensors were diagnosed as the problem. The car's clutch pe service on Nov. 30, 2021 after a check engine light appeared on the dash. The clutch pedal sensors were diagnosed as the problem. The car's clutch pedal was operating too near to the floorboard. The replacement of the clutch pedal sensors was undertaken along with other recommended service items. My car was returned to me on Dec. 8, 2021. The clutch pedal operated in its normal position. On Dec. 20, 2021, during a 133-mile trip from Culver City to Palm Desert, the car's clutch pedal dropped to the floorboard while in freeway traffic about 60 miles into the trip. I exited the freeway and stopped at a gas station. My car would no longer change gears. I managed to start my car in second gear to determine of I could continue to make forward progress or be stranded. I forced the transmission from second gear into fourth gear to reenter the freeway. I remained in fourth gear until I exited the freeway in La Quinta, CA en route to the Chevrolet dealership in that city. On surface streets, I shutoff the engine when stopped, forced the transmission into second gear and restarted the engine to get the car to move forward. This procedure needed to be repeated in stop-go-traffic for three miles until I arrived at the La Quinta Chevrolet Service Department. I called the Culver City Chevrolet Service Department. I asked my service advisor to contact the La Quinta Chevrolet Service Department to let them know what was done to repair and replace the clutch pedal sensors. I was assured that call would be made. I was told I by my service advisor I would be given a call regarding my vehicle. The La Quinta Chevrolet Service Department indicated they would not be able to begin to assess my vehicle's problem for seven days (Dec. 27, 2021). My vehicle remains at La Quinta Chevrolet. I contacted Culver City Chevrolet and requested to speak to a service manager or supervisor about the problem with my vehicle and the failed repair. I was informed by a service advisor that Culver City Chevrolet does not have a service manager or supervisor. I rented a car from Hertz to travel during my stay in Palm Desert and make my return trip from Palm Desert to Culver City. I have not been contacted by anyone from the Culver City Chevrolet Service Department since the events on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021. I believe what I have experienced through this episode, despite having expended a significant sum on recommended service repair items, is an absence of quality customer service regarding a repair that had been diagnosed, executed and failed.
