When I showed up to my scheduled appointment at 7:30am, for an appointment that was scheduled 8 days in advance, the dealership told me my parts for a parking assist retrofit where not there, maybe were ne for an appointment that was scheduled 8 days in advance, the dealership told me my parts for a parking assist retrofit where not there, maybe were never there, or had been installed on someone else's vehicle and must be reordered. They then proceeded to try and make it my problem that I could not remember with whom I had scheduled the appointment. The service advisor refused to look in there hand held Microsoft Surface to get the information related to who had scheduled. Obviously I couldn't be on the schedule without an interaction with Crown. My frustration with this service appointment is the lack of customer communication and coordination. I can handle if the parts aren't there and the appointment needs to be moved, but when I leave work and have someone else come to the dealer to give me a ride while the retrofit is performed, and the entire plan has to be disregarded because the Service Department does not coordinate with the parts department is 100% preventable and 100% the sole fault of Crown. If the parts are available, per the notice I received via mail from GMC, then 8 days surely seems sufficient to order the parts required, if they were not in fact at the dealership already. Extreme Ownership and Transparency are not sought by this service department. If so, they would have owned their issues and more actively looked for answers to the problem at hand as well as communicated their actions to remedy this problem. As of now, the part in question might be ordered, or it might not. Maybe it gets here this week, maybe next, maybe next month. Who knows. It was much easier to cancel my appointment and inconvenience me again at a later date. If they had an option for less than 1 star or less than "Very Poor", I would select that. More
