On March 9th, the day after my Dad passed unexpectedly in his sleep, the transmission went out in my car. In a panic, and blur of emotions, I called around to see what places could get my car in the soonest, that also accepted my warranty. This was put on hold, as on March 12th, I suffered a stress induced heart attack. As a mother of 4, going through an unimaginable tragedy, and a life threatening diagnosis, with a car that was not even able to move, I took an appt with Crossroads Ford for March 23rd. My grandfather stepped in and met the tow truck and followed my car all the way to Kernersville (approximately a 25 minute drive), while I was still in the hospital; this was on March 15th. We advised the service department that even though the appt was not until the 23rd, we were bringing it there on the 15th in the event that they were able to look at it, and diagnosis it sooner. Though they were not able to diagnosis it sooner, which we understood, they did eventually get it diagnosed on March 24th, and decided it needed a left front wheel bearing, a transmission overhaul, and an intake valve. During this time we received conflicting information from Crossroads and our warranty company. Crossroads was telling us that they were waiting on the warranty company to respond, while the warranty company was telling us that they had already approved a used transmission the day before. Fast forward- transmission was finally ordered and delivered on Monday, April 3rd. Keep in mind, 85% of the updates we received, we called for. We were told that we would “100 percent know everything as it happened,” yet we weren’t even told that they had finally received the transmission. So, this was Tuesday April 4th, we were told that they had gotten the transmission the day before, but with it being a short week (because of Easter) that they didn’t know if they would be able to get to my car. On Monday (or Tuesday, the days have seemed to run together) I decided to contact the service manager to see if we could get an actual date of completion. He was less than helpful and essentially blamed all of this on our warranty company. He told me that the car was planned to be ready on Wednesday April 12th. For the first time, in 26 days, I was offered a rental car, which I declined if my car was to be ready in 2 days. So, again, we called to follow up on Wednesday April 12th, because we had not heard anything. I was then told that they had started it on Tuesday, and were hoping to have it finished by lunch time on Thursday April 13th. The day comes and they finally have it finished! I go to finally get my car back after 4 weeks and 1 day. We speak to our advisor, pay the deductible, and he proceeds to explain that there were some discrepancies about what to do about the transmission to begin with. Turns out our advisor was actually trying to keep our best interest at heart (so he said). At this point we’re just glad to have the keys back to my car- Here’s where it gets worse. I do a full walk around, and ensure that there is no damage to my car- which there was not. I get into the drivers seat, start the car, and rev the engine a few times, it sounded great! I look over into the passenger floorboard, and it appears the papers laying there are wet. So I get out, open the passenger door, and A TON OF GNATS start flying around. I mean I have never seen that many gnats in my life. So we go back in and ask for the advisor to come out to the car. We show him the standing liquid in the floorboard and he says “oh it was like that when we got it, something must have spilled when it was being towed in.” “We even checked all the seals to make sure rain was leaking in.” So basically you’ve known about it for an ENTIRE MONTH, and no one there had the decency to tell us. We asked him “you couldn’t have at least thrown some paper towels down and soaked it up?” He looked at us with a smirk as if to say that’s not their job. More

My wife has a Ford Explorer that we had purchased from another dealership in our hometown. After we tried 3 times to get with them to service her 2018 Explorer, we called Crossroads Ford of Kernersville, another dealership in our hometown. After we tried 3 times to get with them to service her 2018 Explorer, we called Crossroads Ford of Kernersville, and they took the car that day. and the next day they ordered the part and in reasonable time her car was repaired. I had bought a truck from those folks at Crossroads Ford of Kernersville, and i have all my service work done there and from now on i will have them to do all work on her car as well. A Great Team of Trained people over there and nice clean waiting area with coffee and sodas while you wait. I recommend anyone to take their vehicle to Crossroads Ford of Kernersville for all their service needs. And they do their work in a timely manner. And those folks can put you in a New Ford as well so check them out. More
