Several months ago, someone rear ended my new Corvette. The damage looked cosmetic and so I was referred to a dealer in Fairfax, who spent two months with the car collecting dust, only to tell me that when The damage looked cosmetic and so I was referred to a dealer in Fairfax, who spent two months with the car collecting dust, only to tell me that when they removed the bumper, they couldn’t touch it due to carbon fiber damage. After a lot of research, I found Criswell could handle all the damage, and I called them… Luckily, speaking to a gentleman named Matthew Tate in the body shop. He immediately struck me as exceedingly knowledgeable, energized, and enthusiastic; he reassured me that all would be well. Thanks to him and his thorough understanding of how to navigate the insurance gauntlet, I have my car back in impeccable shape. The team at Criswell did a fantastic job, thee car looks like new! But again, a very special shout out to Matt, who shepherded me through the process, and without whose help this quite simply would not have been done correctly, as I am sure I would’ve gotten short changed by the insurance company. Warranty work: Regarding my new-to-me red 2017 Corvette Grand Sport, Dina did an incredible job dealing with my extended Tire and Wheel Warranty Company! This dealerships service department attempted to steal from me by committing fraud. They stated I needed brake pads when in fact the ones on the vehicle were brand new. I was also further deceived by my warranty coverage after following the advice of an employee. When bringing in my vehicle to see if an issue was covered by my warranty I was charged a mandatory diagnostic fee even though the problem was readily apparent. Rather than be empathetic to my problem McCormick actually scoffed at me on the telephone. He stated he simply couldn't take the word of what customers stated was wrong with their vehicles. When I cam to pick up the vehicle McCormick turned his back on me, glared at me from across the service department, and never spoke a word to me. He knew who I was at that point as my service advisor was with him. Due to my experience with this dealership I warn everyone away from Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg. This is a shame because I enjoy my Tahoe and will now have to drive out of my way to another chevrolet dealer to avoid the fraud and unfair business practices used here. I will be reaching out to numerous government agencies to complain about the criminal violations occurring here. More
