Poor communication or dishonesty, not sure which but neither is acceptable. I inquired about a truck that was advertised at a very good price. Communicated with the internet sales person Mr. Miskimen neither is acceptable. I inquired about a truck that was advertised at a very good price. Communicated with the internet sales person Mr. Miskimen first over the online chat function, then via email, then by phone. Got info about the vehicle and pricing. Had to take the long drive from St. Pete to Bradenton to go to the dealership. I specifically asked if the truck will be there when I get there so I don't spend an hour each way driving, and all of that gas, for nothing. Mr. Miskimen flat out promised that the truck would be there as he would "set it aside for me" both in the chat, the email, and when I called him before I left to go see it (I printed out the chat and the email and have his words in writing). So of course, I get there and another salesman tells me it was "just sold 15 minutes ago", and that they don't set aside vehicles without a deposit. At no point did Mr. Miskimen ever say a word about needing a deposit, he simply said, and I quote from the chat screen printout: You: Will do. Thanks. I'll call before we head out to make sure the vehicle is still there (to save us the drive if its not!) Bobby Miskimen: I am setting it aside for you now. Bobby Miskimen: It will be here!! You: Thanks. Speak with you later. In the subsequent email he made a similar comment saying it will definitely be there when I get there. So basically I'm told by the other salesman (Mr. Miskimen never even came out to speak with me, apologize, nothing, and he was there at the time in the office, and didn't respond to my later email that day) that the best they can do is give me some gas after I complained about the cost of my time and gas after being promised the truck would be there. Unfortunately I had just filled the car when I got to Bradenton and the offer wasn't of any value to me. Then, surprise, surprise, they used the old..."well, now that you are here, are there any other vehicles you would like to look at.." which I promptly turned down and left. More

To be honest I really dreaded the thought of dealing with another car salesman again. I have a very hectic life with three kids and two jobs. I do not think ever in my lifetime of purchasing a car from any other competitors where I had fast and professional services as Cox Chevrolet had offered me. Jon and the whole staff were very knowledgeable with accomidating me with an exceptional car buying experience. You put me in a car that I could have never imagine that would work for me. I have had in the past bad experiences with promises and hopeless hours with nothing more of wasting my valuable time. In a matter of two hours I was off in my new ride. Thank you for helping me to redefine the stereotype that I have always had with car salesman. I appreciated your professionalism and dedication to my needs.I look forward in working with you and your staff in the near future. I am giving the rating above because Jon and Staff members were all so accomidating with my personal needs and made me a customer for life. I just bought a car from Cox Chevy and it was the best experience ever! The receptionist Rachel was very sweet and helped me as soon as i walked in. I bought my car from Joe L. I have never met a used car salesman as honest and sweet as Joe. He was not pushy and did his absolute best to try and get me a better deal. I ended up buying a Honda Accord Coupe for $2000 under kbb. I was looking a another Honda at a Honda dealtership and told me i got an amazing deal! The entire experience was easy! Joe made you feel like a person and not a paycheck! I would recommend his 100% at Cox Chevy of Bradenton!!! More
Very friendly and professional. I dropped my vehicle off, they explained everything to me, helped me with a rental and called me to update me on the progress. He is very trustworthy and I would not hesitate to recommend him and Cox. More

I keep coming back to this particular dealership for one reason. The service after the sale. I have been dealing with Rick Seaton for over 10 years and have always been treated very well. My comfort level with Rick and his recommendations on a scale of 1 to 10 is a 10. He always explains my options clearly and let's me make the decisions rather than pushing me into something that I may feel is unnecessary. I have been sold certain service packages in the past by other dealerships and have not returned due to the lack of trust factor. Rick Seaton is the sole reason I keep coming back to Cox Chevrolet. The worst in service, ever! I asked for an estimate on my vehicle. I left to go shopping and when I returned and they decided to fix it without my authorization and tried to charge me. I signed nothing and was under the impression my extended warranty covered everything. After a call to GM, they had no choice but to call it a "Goodwill" gesture. Another incident was when they needed to keep my car overnight and I needed a rental car which is covered under my warranty. I did not want to use Enterprise which is at their onsite location. I went home without a rental car. After a call to GM I found out my extended warranty wilI cover ANY rental car agency. The service man told me he was NOT allowed to inform me of this because they have some sort of contract with enterprise. I would advise NO ONE to do business with people like this. More
