I am deeply disappointed with the level of "customer service" I experienced at Cox Chevrolet in Bradenton. On this occasion, the disparity between the quoted online price for a vehicle and the final charge was substantial, leading me to believe I significantly overpaid. Despite requesting a specific APR to facilitate the purchase and being reassured by the sales representative, the actual terms, including the interest rate, were not clearly communicated. This resulted in a monthly payment plan with an APR far exceeding our agreement. Upon discovering this discrepancy, I sought clarification and a potential resolution, given my strong credit history and nearly cleared auto loan portfolio, which left me perplexed about the financing terms presented to me. Furthermore, when I expressed my desire to return the truck, the dealership's solution involved transitioning to a less expensive model, coupled with an unexpected request for a $16,000 upfront payment to facilitate new financing. This proposal was bewildering, especially considering the price difference between the trucks and the excess payment already made on my part. The subsequent communication from the dealership, which included a hostile demand for the return of the vehicle tag under the threat of reporting it as stolen, was completely unprofessional and not reflective of the customer-centric ethos I previously associated with Cox, known for gestures like sending cookies to customers' homes after a purchase. This series of events has been extremely disheartening, marking a stark departure from the quality of service and integrity I had come to expect from Cox Chevrolet. More

What a great experience at Cox Chevrolet! My husband and I went in to check out a pre-owned vehicle and in lest than 2.5 hours, we were driving it off the lot! The entire team was amazing to work with, especially our sales consultant, Jim Timpson. Even though we arrived about 20 minutes early for our appointment, he came out and took care of us right away. He really took the time to make sure we loved the vehicle – we never felt rushed. Jim also spoke very highly of the Cox group, you can tell he truly enjoys where he works and making customers happy is his top priority. Also, a big thanks to Damion who made financing a breeze. After putting a deposit on a vehicle 15 days prior to the vehicles arrival they sold the vehicle to someone else. They told me they were going to make things right by selling me a vehicle at their cost. In o vehicles arrival they sold the vehicle to someone else. They told me they were going to make things right by selling me a vehicle at their cost. In order to get the same vehicle I had placed the deposit on it was going to take 3 months for its arrival. When it was time to place my order they apparently cannot order that vehicle this week and I’d have to order a more expensive version unless I wanted to wait another week and see if they could order it next week. They proceed to try and sell me higher costing vehicles “at their price”. One salesman tried to tell me they only profit 1,000 on the vehicle they’re trying to sell me. I declined because I know they definitely profit more than 1,000 on a vehicle LOL. Then conveniently after I declined the more expensive options they’re able to order the car I originally wanted. This company is a joke. The unprofessionalism I received while trying to purchase a car here was disgusting. I will not be back nor will I recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Scam salesman to begin with the operator states they'll accept my offer. Once at the dealership they know nothing about the "deal". My trade according the same app they used to value their car is worth 19 accept my offer. Once at the dealership they know nothing about the "deal". My trade according the same app they used to value their car is worth 19 to 21k. They wanted to give me 17k. Same app theirs is worth 29 to 31k. Their original price was 34k they "dropped" it to 33k. So still 2k more than valued.....according to their app..Maybe the customer can get screwed. Somehow a 32k car with 2k down, which I had 10k to put down, turns into a 716 month payment. Not sure what banks they used. Maybe monopoly bank. More
