I live in Gatesville. I went to Jim Turner Chevy in McGregor, where I just purchased a new truck 4 months ago. They were cordial, but not actively trying to help anyone. J I went to Jim Turner Chevy in McGregor, where I just purchased a new truck 4 months ago. They were cordial, but not actively trying to help anyone. Just talking among themselves. They did not have any service trucks. They were trying to look around and said they would call back. I drove to the Ford dealership and they did not have a service truck however they were a little more willing to speak to me. Not over reaching or aggressive, just didn’t mind talking. Everyone that walked by said hello. I saw on FB Chandler post. Called her and bought the truck. Signed in less than 4 hours. When I arrive to pick it up 95 miles away. The staff was welcoming. Everyone said hello and offered water or ask if someone was helping me or just if I wanted to sit and wait. That’s the service I thought you would get from a business that you purchased a $65k truck from 4 months prior. Just welcome back would have been nice. I think Chandler did a great job and like she is advertising online. That’s were the population is. Again I found Covert on FB looking for a service truck. I usually look for airplanes on FB and thought I would check. More
I am in the market for a new to me vehicle. I called and spoke with Scott Mullican about a car that I am interested in, that is priced very well. Almost too good to be true. Even though the web I called and spoke with Scott Mullican about a car that I am interested in, that is priced very well. Almost too good to be true. Even though the website shows the vehicle in stock, the salesman had to "go find" the vehicle and asked me to give him 30 minutes. After about 2 hours, Scott finally called back and said that this particular vehicle "already had a deal working" and asked what my price point is for my new vehicle. How ironic that a well priced car is in another deal, when 2 hours later, the salesman didnt know if it was even on the lot? I should have stopped all communication then. I also had a trade and sent pictures and VIN and all info to Scott, who said he would get me a value on my trade. When I asked what the valued on my trade is, he couldnt give me one until he knew what vehicle I was interested in. Value is value. My trade value should not depend on what car I want to buy from you. So, basically, I fell for the ole bait and switch, so they can sell me a higher priced car. When I called the salesman out about this and these shady practices, all I heard in return was crickets. No response. No trying to defend himself. NOTHING! I highly doubt that this vehicle is even on the lot. The crazy thing is, this is the 2nd time that this has happened to me, with a Covert dealer. I was looking for a new truck in May and the same thing happened. I still have the emails from the salesman and the manager, with the "apology". Stupid me for going back to this dealer to find a new to me vehicle. DO NOT BUY FROM COVERT, AS THEY WILL TRY THE BAIT AND SWITCH. DISHONEST AND REPREHENSIBLE SALESMEN! More
