I mistakenly thought the battery was not charging. Brought car in to Courtesy Nissan because if parts needed replacing I wanted genuine Nissan parts to be installed. Courtesy Nissan INCORRECTLY diag Brought car in to Courtesy Nissan because if parts needed replacing I wanted genuine Nissan parts to be installed. Courtesy Nissan INCORRECTLY diagnosed the alternator as not providing any current to charge the battery. I did not understand how the car charged the battery. Further investigation on the Internet provided more information to me. Courtesy Nissan replaced the alternator for a cost of about $1500.00. Alternator was NOT at fault, but Courtesy Nissan replaced the alternator anyway. I now understand how the car charges the battery. Courtesy Nissan replaced a perfectly good alternator. I think their diagnosis was to see how much they can charge the customer by providing unnecessary repairs. I am very disappointed by their service. More
