Great routine service turned outstanding recall notification I went in for a routine oil change and that is always great! However, Doug Smith notified me of a recall that had left my battery dead during service I went in for a routine oil change and that is always great! However, Doug Smith notified me of a recall that had left my battery dead during service: they fixed the recall, gave me a new battery, and I drove my freshly washed car home for free! Excellent Customer Service This was, by far, my best dealership customer service experience. This morning, I discovered that my battery was going bad. I was hesitant to call th This was, by far, my best dealership customer service experience. This morning, I discovered that my battery was going bad. I was hesitant to call the dealership in fear that a dealership would overcharge me or persist on adding additional repairs that my car "must have." When I called, I was transferred to Curt. He listened to my concerns, explained to me the process, provided me with an estimated cost (based on my explanation) and how the recall process worked as I also had some necessary recall repairs. When I arrived, he kindly greeted me, explained the process and had a shuttle ready for me. A short time later, Curt called me back and confirmed the suspected battery and recall issues. Once authorized, they were timely in their repair. When I returned, my car was ready and freshly washed. Everyone that spoke to me was kind and friendly - from the main service techs to the gentlemen who opened the gate upon exiting. I was truly impressed, which is rare for me to say. This was my first time at Courtesy Chevrolet and they now have my future business. Thank you, Curt. More
