Do not trust the statements on the Country Pride Auto website that say, "All vehicles go through a stringent and extensive 52-point quality assurance program before being offered for sale. Mechanically, website that say, "All vehicles go through a stringent and extensive 52-point quality assurance program before being offered for sale. Mechanically, safety, and cosmetically guaranteed!" I contacted the owner on 12/5/22 via email and text message regarding the below, and I have received no response in the past eight days. My husband and I drove nearly five hours from Kansas and purchased a 2016 Lexus IS 200t on 8/13/22. Prior to making the trip, I asked a lot of questions, including about the vehicle tires and rims. When we arrived, I was disappointed to see that the rims did have curb rash, and when I asked for a small discount since I was told otherwise, the owner refused. Due to the long trip, financial arrangements I had made and the fact that we still thought it was a fair deal, we proceeded with purchasing the car. However, within several days of purchase, I noticed the brakes on the car were extremely squeaky. I texted the owner about that on 8/30/22, and he said he thought it was probably from moisture on the brakes. Well, the brakes have continued to squeak every day since purchase. However, for quite awhile, I trusted that nothing could actually be wrong based on the statement on the website (see above), the conversations had in which I was told a thorough inspection was done and the assurance in the text on 8/30/22 that it was probably just moisture. I took my car in recently for the first oil change since purchase, and I was informed that the back brakes are very worn and both the rotors and brakes needed to be replaced. Additionally, I was informed that the back tire treads are 1/32 and 2/32, so extremely worn. I have driven the car very minimally since purchase and believe these two issues (totaling nearly $1,000) would have been and should have been identified and communicated if there was actually a 52-point inspection performed. I am very disappointed in the lack of thoroughness/honesty in the inspection and pre-purchase communication, as well as the fact that there has been no response at all since I contacted the owner on 12/5/22.
