We asked them if they would hold until we arrived, they told us we had to essentially buy the vehicle sight unseen which we won't do. We informed them we were cash buyers with no trade. After a discussion to determine how we could get them to hold it until we were able to arrive, they said they would check to see what could be done. He said he would get back to us after he finished what he was doing. We did not receive any response the rest of that day. The next day, Thursday, I contacted the internet sales manager and requested they contact us by 8:15 AM on Monday to let us know if the vehicle was still available and we would leave immediately for the 13 plus hour drive. We did hear from the salesman at around 4pm that day to tell us the vehicle was still available. We had already now arranged our schedule twice to make the trip but due to their lack of communication canceled as we did not want to make the drive if it was not available. They are not open on Sundays so they most likely could have contacted us at close on Saturday to let us know it was available. They had snow that Monday so that was why they didn't contact us until 4 pm. It just seems they were not very interested in making a sale and had zero consideration as to the effort we had to make to look at the vehicle. I'm not sure why I gave them two stars when it probably should have been less. More
My experience with Confidence ford. . my salesman was Bryson Bankston. He’s the best part of this whole situation. As honest of a salesman as I ever had. Respectful. I told him what I . my salesman was Bryson Bankston. He’s the best part of this whole situation. As honest of a salesman as I ever had. Respectful. I told him what I wanted and he made it happen. I went in pre-approved from my bank. We test drove the unit I wanted, negotiated, agreed on price, everything was smooth. I was trying to purchase a Tundra, that under closer inspection had a lot of rust for a ‘17, (carfax showed it was from Victoria, TX.), but they had had it so long it was about to go to auction, so the price dropped substantially. We go to finance after agreeing on processing a contract of purchase terms, and the finance man refuses to call my bank, so I ask what alternative he’d like. He says” I know you’re pre- approved, but I have the same loan, same terms, same rate, all you have to do is sign up with me” no thank you. What else? He says sight draft or cashiers check. It’s 4:30pm.. so I run across I35 in hopes of reaching someone and luckily, I get it and return, and wait. My original finance man is busy, so another finance person comes out. She asks me what I have for her, I show her the sight draft..”we don’t accept this”. Then why did your finance man tell me to get one? “It’s a new policy we just don’t accept them anymore”. I’ll come back tomorrow then. Next day: my banker says they’re under contract to honor sight drafts, wire transfers, and cashiers checks issued by my bank, so they’ll accept it. He issues me another, I get signatures, and I’m on my way home to grab the title and keys to the car I own for my trade. My salesman calls,” hey, can you bring the keys to the tundra back, my boss has a customer to look at it..” I’m confused but.. I don’t have cash in hand so let me run by the bank and just get a check. I’ll be over in 30 minutes. “You can just keep the keys if you come by and sign our terms with our finance guy. “ no thanks. I’ll bring you a check. I have a contract. I all but own this truck. 20 minutes later I’m at the bank, waiting on a check. Bryson texts me:” can I put you in the phone with my Finance manager (John VanEaton) and General Manager (Robert Randino)?” Sure, why not? “Mr.—-, we understand that you’re at the bank, but we have a customer waiting to look at this truck. Frankly, we’ve waited long enough(less than 18 hours) for payment, and we can’t afford to reserve this truck any longer. Now, we have the same loan, rate, and payment, even through your bank, sitting right here, all you have to do is come sign and you can keep the truck.” Guys… I’m gonna hand you a check in LITERALLY ten minutes for this truck.. you’re telling me you can’t wait for a check to finalize the purchase? The truck that I have the KEYS and a CONTRACT for, you’re trying to sell because I’m not there with a check right now? “Sir, until we have payment a contract doesn’t matter, the truck is still for sale.” Good because you can keep it I don’t even want it. These children posing as “managers” were angry because they were losing money on my car deal, and couldn’t make any money back by having me finance, THROUGH MY OWN BANK, in their office. Again, They wanted me to finance in-house, through my own bank, to make up money for what they’d lost on our negotiation. Even tried to BULLY me into it thinking I’d cave when they told me to bring the truck keys back, that they had another customer, and I didn’t. So they got mad. The people running this place are as crooked as I’ve ever seen in the business and are tarnishing the Reynolds name. Also, for the uninformed, Cavendar and Confidence dealerships are under the same umbrella. I’d highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. More
I appreciate Kay and Jason working hard to get a deal complete. Everyone was friendly and kept their word throughout the process. I live about 55 miles outside Norman and I had some equipment added to my complete. Everyone was friendly and kept their word throughout the process.
