We purchased Camry Hybrid 9/9. Toby was an excellent online salesman. He was very responsive. Very satisfied and recommend him. However, the financing part leaves us a bitter experience. We arrived at 6:30pm and didn't get done till 8:30pm. We submitted loan applications online and was approved. Therefore, we weren't expecting to be there long. We were told have a seat and the finance department will be right with us. He never came out to meet us, Toby took is back to his office at 7:50pm. The moment we sat down, he presented a laminated flyer on level of warranty offer. He said it's is required that we get the extended warranty, the GAP and Phantom Footprint. He knew we wanted the GAP as we told Toby. We spoke about the amount for a good 15min about the cost of it. He repeated saying that he can't give discount on Phantom Footprint because it's part of the car sales. I finally asked him "it's mandatory that we get the extended warranty?" he replied " just kidding ". We said do don't want it. His attitude changed immediately. He proceeded to say he can't do anything about Phantom Footprint. We finally finished signing all documents and left. Not please with what had happened!! I did some research on the Phantom Footprint. It's not required! It's not mandatory. Read reviews on Concord Toyota, there are alot of negative feedback that the financing department 1. he tried to scam us 2. was scandalous 3. misinterpretation and false information 3. Illegal I called the dealer today and was told Joe G. will call me back to handle this situation. I don't care it's $5.00 or $100.00 or 50cent. I am not willing to out the money as we were illegally scammed. I will be spreading the words about our experiences. More
I would like to thank personally Mo for his reaching out to me and taking the time to resolve an issue that was of concern to me. He is a stand up guy and I greatly appreciated his quick response in handlin to me and taking the time to resolve an issue that was of concern to me. If I could give zero starts, I would. And it looks like several other people have had recent bad experiences with this place. We drove from the Sacramento area to Concord Toyota on 7/2 And it looks like several other people have had recent bad experiences with this place. We drove from the Sacramento area to Concord Toyota on 7/23/2024 to purchase a RAV4 Adventure they had in stock (and we were interested in that particular model). We arrived at the dealership at 2:30-3:00. We didn't get out of there until around 10:30 p.m. because apparently they only had 1 finance manager working that day. We didn't even sit down with the finance manager ANDY GARCHA until close to 10:00 p.m. He was moving through signing this and signing that and shoving an iPad at me in between, and during this process we were NEVER shown an itemized list of charges. He told us he was "throwing in at no charge" (his exact words) the 5-year pre-paid maintenance thing and something else. At no point was it clear what we were signing on that iPad was agreeing to paying for those, and at no time was anything printed out until we left and saw over $3,000 in extra charges I never knowingly agreed to on the printouts. ANDY GARCHA and TEJBIR "SINGH" KHURANA masquerade as "nice guys" and claim they "don't work on commission" but are as smarmy and rapacious as any used car salesmen stereotype I've ever encountered. We are filing a complaint with the DMV under the Car Buyer's Bill of Rights and also to the CA Attorney General's Office and the CA Department of Consumer Affairs. I wouldn't recommend this dealership if they were giving away cars, and I'll NEVER buy a Toyota again (the national corporate office won't do anything about these shady, dishonest crooks at the dealerships).
