This was my experience with Concord Toyota Scion. When I initially called , the sales representative Nico was very eager to get me off the phone and text him instead of answering the additional quest When I initially called , the sales representative Nico was very eager to get me off the phone and text him instead of answering the additional questions. I looked past that and got pre approval from a credit union. The dealership was quite far from where I live but I really wanted the car so I booked myself a one way 6 hour bus ticket to the dealership and communicated this with the dealership. On my way the dealership reached out to tell me that the power was down and that I wouldn’t be able to sell me the car that day. However when i got there the POWER was on , all the lights and everything could be seen as I drove by in my Uber. When I reached out they responded that the power came back on but the finance department had gone home early. With that being said they were nice enough to put me up in a hotel across the street, however this hotel was not ideal. I have a feeling none of the dealership staff have stayed at this hotel because the carpets were stained, hole patches in the wall and a dirty bathroom were all present. Needless to say I didn’t have the best night. When I arrived the next morning at their opening time of 9am, I did my test drive and the car drove great. However when it came to work with the financing department Kelli the manager told me that my credit needed to be run again. I told her no that wasn’t going to happen since I had already got pre approval from my credit union. I called my credit union to confirm and I was correct. Kelli then came back and changed her story saying I only needed to fill out a credit application, without running my credit. After doing this and then waiting an hour she came back and said I had to send proof of income to them which I had already done with my credit union. I obliged and provided paystubs. Another hour went by waiting on approval from the underwriters of my credit union . I decided to call the credit union myself and they verified I had been approved on their end already . Bringing this to Kelli’s attention she said she was waiting for approval in a “chat box” . After waiting another hour if finally got approved. Another hour went by with the paper signing and after a grueling 5 hours I was on my way. The whole experience made me feel like was being punished for coming to a dealership with my own financing. They offered multiple times to have me use one of their lenders instead but I didn’t wanna run my credit multiple times for no reason. I actually even apologized to the staff for being short with them and explaining that I was exhausted from the past 24 hours. I got to the first stop light after leaving the dealership and noticed a rock chip in the windshield , i brought the car back and they offered to cover the cost which was nice. By this point I was mentally exhausted and just wanted to go home. Fast forward a few weeks later and I get a text on a Thursday from Joe at Concord Toyota saying a membership needed to set up by me so that the credit union would fund the loan. I told him I could possibly take care of it the next couple of days depending on work . I work long hours in medical and I wasn’t able to get the membership set up . That following Monday he called me with a THREATENING tone that he would just run my credit again and find funding somewhere else without my authorization. It had been only 3 business days since I found out about this situation and he’s THREATENING me. He wanted me to do it immediately by signing a credit union membership via an email sent by him. After everything I had been through with them I wanted to do this through my credit union directly. Overall this has been the WORST car buying experience I have ever been through and this is exactly why people don’t trust dealerships and loath the idea of buying a car. The staff of concord Toyota are slimy and inconsiderate and I hope this review keeps others from having to go through the same experience. More

They detailed the car and invited me back the next day to go through all the features to make sure I understood all of the features and was going to get the most out of driving it. Very happy and highly recommended sales with Joe and dealership! More

They tried all the tricks. I arrived on time for my appointment, checked in at the front desk then waited outside. No one shows. After a while I asked at the desk, where is my sales person? First, the guy behind the desk says the the sales person was looking for me. Looking where? I was right out in front. Then someone else says to take a seat and relax - a known tactic to have me waste my time at their place so I don't visit too many other dealers. I waited more, still standing outside. Finally I went back to the sales desk, showed them my phone and said "If I don't see my sales person in ten minutes, I am out of here". I hear my sales person paged. Eight minutes later my sales guy shows, saying that he didn't know I was there. I said "I had heard you paged". Plus, how could he not know I was there if he was supposedly "looking for me" earlier? The run-around. Typical snaky practice. More

Our salesperson was excellent. Knowledgeable on our 4Runner, no pressure tactics, and a pleasure to work with. The finance officer was also very knowledgeable and very helpful.
