My 2004 Infiniti I35 has 25,000 original miles. The check engine light went on and I assumed it was because the gas cap was not on right. I drove around for weeks with the check engine light on with n check engine light went on and I assumed it was because the gas cap was not on right. I drove around for weeks with the check engine light on with no problems. I had to go for my annual inspection and was told that my car would not pass because the check engine light on fails NYSI. They said the TP senser (throttle) was defective. Hard to believe at 25,000 miles. They charged me $281 for service. Now I find out that the part did not need to be replaced, but only needed to be cleaned. They also told me I would soon need new brakes. With only 25,000 miles. I don't think so! Note to Competition Infititi: Never bite the hand that feeds you. More
In a Nut shell...Purchased a used 2009 FX35 from dealer in May 2012, The salesman Vinny Q is totally full of it. Lied about the service of the vehicle. Claimed they changed the wiper blades , Belts, cabin in May 2012, The salesman Vinny Q is totally full of it. Lied about the service of the vehicle. Claimed they changed the wiper blades , Belts, cabin filter...Lies...Lies ....Lies. When I picked up the vehicle after purchase the car was filthy and had less than a quarter tank of gas in it. Of course Vinny Q was no where around that day. Upon vacuuming the vehicle I found the old window registration on the floor. Took the car back for its first oil change in August 2012. I had an issue with low tire pressure in the front left drivers tire. Slick Nick Gasparro claimed there was a nail in the tire and that the service dept. plugged the tire without ever removing the wheel!!! go figure. In 25 years of driving and fixing flats...I have never ever seen a tire plugged without its removal...lies...lies...lies. from here out..I'm going to Infiniti of Manhasset for service...these guys at competition are bums. I love the brand..but the guys at Competition are a bunch of busters. More
Just a terrible dealer (manager Trent, sales vinny "Q") I walked in and started to look. At that time the sales is nice. Take it for a test drive and the fun begins. I asked about the blue tooth op "Q") I walked in and started to look. At that time the sales is nice. Take it for a test drive and the fun begins. I asked about the blue tooth option and was told "what you want me to take out the laundry list?". The sales person didn't review the car just boasted how that model was the best an the rest if the models werent. They are eager to take your deposit and once they have it then the rudeness increases. They make you wait and wait and wait before answering your questions. The sales and managers ...yes managers..are rude, condescending and sarcastic as if I should know everythig about The car already. They start you off with a low monthly lease agreement and once you say yes, then they say don't har that car but do have Thr alternative. (which is higher in cost I may add). And once you say ok let's change the plan they say sorry that car was a mistake and the limited inventory includes the following (which I even higher). So what was the point of wasting time in the first place configuring a car that they dot have? Over all they hound you over the phone to get info out of you. The sales person is rude and thinks he knows what he was doing. Didn't explain to me anything about the car, just "it the best car out there and I drive it". I ended up not buying the car and went to another dealer. I wouldn't recommend this dealer or salesperson to anyone. More

I have been taking my M-35x to Competition Infinity for the past 3 years. All of the Service Reps., Charlie, Nick and Jan have been upfront and honest with me everytime. I have a very busy work schedule as the past 3 years. All of the Service Reps., Charlie, Nick and Jan have been upfront and honest with me everytime. I have a very busy work schedule as a physian and they always make sure they have a loner car waiting upon my arrival and never keep me waiting or the other customers from what I can see. Their communication is excellent, They call me when they have a diagnosis and are very fair with there prices and its ready when they say it will be ready. When I pick up my car they even wash it for me or should I say detail it. Hey, if you own a luxury car dont complain if repairs are costly, be thankful you don't own a BMW. So all of you that have complaints, maybe you should try one of those disposable cars like Hyundai or Kia. Keep up the GREAT work guys! Keith More
I was in the market for a preowned G35x sedan. Initial experience was nice. Was greeted at the door with a smile and was hooked up to a salesman in the preowned dept. He took my wife and I out to the lot experience was nice. Was greeted at the door with a smile and was hooked up to a salesman in the preowned dept. He took my wife and I out to the lot to show me the selection of cars he had. I think I knew more about the cars than he did. He also seemed more interested in telling me about his Beemer parked in the lot. We test drove several cars and after an hour I finally found a car that I was interested in. We head inside to talk price. All downhill from there. We sat at his desk and within one minute he informed my wife and I that "OH I'M SORRY , THAT CAR WAS SOLD THIS MORNING". Are you kidding me ?? I should have walked out there. I gave him another opportunity so I looked at another G that was not even cleaned yet. Made another reasonable offer. The salesman left to "talk to the manager". After a short wait a man came over and introduced himself as the manager. He then proceeded to tell me what a "prestige product" he had and had no interest in negotiating with me. Walked out with a bad taste. Went to another Long Island dealer where I purchased a nearly identically equipped car for over $3000 less than competition and with a VERY pleasant experience. More
Competition Infiniti is the worst dealership. Darlene, the business manager, initially offered a good financing rate, but by the time I was supposed to get the car everything had changed. It changed beca the business manager, initially offered a good financing rate, but by the time I was supposed to get the car everything had changed. It changed because she didn't submit the paperwork in a timely fashion and I missed the deal infiniti was offering. Darlene only cared about trying to get me to buy accessories, having things done such as window tinting, etc. I believe she makes a commission off of these type of things. Also, the salespeople were incompetent and rude. The salesperson, Kyle, needed several people to pratically hold his hand and walk him through the basics of writing up a deal. I walked away from the dealership and took my business elsewhere and saved 1000's of dollars in the process. More
I called Competition Infiniti with the mind set of getting a new lease with zero down. They were able to get back to me within 5 minutes, had the new g37 coupe available for me. I went in, and while i getting a new lease with zero down. They were able to get back to me within 5 minutes, had the new g37 coupe available for me. I went in, and while i was there, Kyle helped me pick out my car. Darlene was the sweetest you can get. She approved me for the car without a cosignor being that i already have an existing auto-loan. I was literally in Infiniti for no more than 45 minutes. I picked out my car, test drove it and everyone was pleasant. I advised them that i wouldn't have my DMV and Tax money available until the weekend (this was Monday) As i was leaving, i received a phone call telling me they could release the vehicle to me, being that i was pre-approved (i know this was just to get me in the car, but it still felt nice to pick up something brand new without any hassles) All i would have to do is bring the money down by the weekend. I cam back at 5pm, and I drove my new g37 home at 5:45pm. Within that time frame, i signed my contract, met the service receptionist and the service tech. When i got home, i realized i hated the color. The amethyst looked purple, didn't notice it until it was next to a similar silverish/grayish car. I called Infiniti the next day, and they told me to come down and pick out another car, which i did. I am extremely happy with the service. They could be a bit more lenient on their miles & pricing, but overall a great experience and i would refer them to anyone. More
I went to the dealership for SVC engine light. Was told it was Ex Sprocket. Picked the car up and noticed it wasn't running right. Brought the car back and also said there was a humming noise . They had to it was Ex Sprocket. Picked the car up and noticed it wasn't running right. Brought the car back and also said there was a humming noise . They had to redo the first job and told me the front tires were cupped and that was my problem. When I called back and spoke to Robert Rice the service manager about this he told me to get a file number from consumer affairs. I went to an independent tire place and they told me there is a suspension problem. The dealership is Competition Infiniti. More
