Hello. I am writing to complain about Compass Dodge in Orange, NJ, phone: 866-919-3973. We saw a Jeep Compass from them on your site, linked from Yahoo. We drove all the way from Brooklyn to Orange, NJ Orange, NJ, phone: 866-919-3973. We saw a Jeep Compass from them on your site, linked from Yahoo. We drove all the way from Brooklyn to Orange, NJ. When we get there the vibe is completely unprofessional with a 20-something girl, that was obviously not really a car dealer. Then---we can't make this up, but the Jeep had a huge rusted, dent in the front side, yet the picture on the site, did not show the dent at all, or even mention the dent. To top this off all 4 tires were stolen off the car when we got to the car, to everyones surprise. What a complete waste of time and they fraudulently advertise damaged cars! Not only that, they really didn't try to make it up to us in a professional way. We couldn't get out of there fast enough! More
It is common business practice for dealerships to pull tricks in order to draw customers to their lots but car buyers are becoming increasingly tired of dealing with these types of dealerships. If you've tricks in order to draw customers to their lots but car buyers are becoming increasingly tired of dealing with these types of dealerships. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Why not try something different? It is true that you won't make money by being upfront and honest to all of your customers but I had a very discouraging experience last with Compass Dodge on Sat., 10/06/2007. They've posted a picture of a vehicle for sale on several different car sites. The car is a 2004 silver Ford Explorer, 32,000+ miles. The asking price is $8,995. There is a visible dent in the bottom of the front right-side passenger door. Okay... fine. What they fail to mention in any of these listings is that the inside of the vehicle is in TERRIBLE condition - every seat is slashed, radio is missing, the interior is dirty - the car is not BUYABLE! What is even more infuriating is that a good deal of their buyers probably come from New York City and it was a long drive and the directions the dealership gave were wrong. When we got there, the a sales person named Marisol put on an entire show, pretending that she didn't know what condition the car was in before we got there... suuure. I had contacted her several times before my visit, asking her if the car was still available. She told me the car was available, never mentioning the condition the car was in. This car had been posted on sites for at least 3 weeks so most likely, she'd gotten previous visits for that particular car so she MUST have known what condition the car was in. What a waste of time. If you're NOT first-time car buyer, then I'm sure you're already familiar with dealerships and the B.S. they'll pull just to get a sale. But whoever you are, I'm here to let you know that if you're considering a visit to this dealership, just cross it off your list RIGHT NOW. Save your time! They have NOTHING SPECIAL TO OFFER! There sales people are clearly liars. Most cat dealerships are truly not here to work for YOU. Especially COMPASS DODGE! More
