Our purchase experience at Community Honda in Baytown could have been better. We've worked with this Dealership for years for Honda service on my previous Civic, and it was always great. We came in about could have been better. We've worked with this Dealership for years for Honda service on my previous Civic, and it was always great. We came in about 2 months ago to purchase a Certified Used EV that we found online, and to be honest... everything was a struggle. We felt the deal was okay, and we paid a fair amount for it, but we still feel like the Dealership didn't really care and is just trying to move cars as fast as possible. Issues we had: 1. Only had 1 key, and with a certified vehicle, you get a 2nd key. Having them order a key and program it to the car took DAYS, and communication with the Dealership was poor. We had to beg for more info. 2. We paid in full for the car with a trade and a cashiers check, no financing. Waited hours to talk to the Finance gal, and then there was an issue with a lien release notice getting obtained for our trade in vehicle from a bank. Went a month... no word from the Dealership at all, then the Sales Manager calls me in a panic... you have to get us the lien release doc today or we have to reclaim the new vehicle that I have fully paid for. Like, what?! You all need to get your stuff together! We got them the doc and they chilled, but it was frustrating. 3. The vehicle HondaLink/OnStar was still registered to the previous owner and it took 3 weeks to get them to transfer ownership. The Dealership did very little to help with this situation, it was hours on the phone with OnStar. The HondaLink works well, now, so that's a plus! 4. The Sales people have zero power or ownership of a Deal - they are just the middlemen between the Sales Managers and Finance folks. Communication and knowledge could have been much better. Overall, this is not a bad Dealership, but they are just a regular car Dealer that wants to sell cars and first make money - don't let the marketing trick you into thinking they're hometown folks who are "Christian owned" or "treat you like family". They're just selling you a car. We're happy with our purchase and the price, it just could have been a better customer service experience and we've had to jump through some hoops. Still waiting on that Tax window sticker and Title, though... 6 weeks later! More
Very friendly people, super professional. His customer service did not end even after we closed on the vehicle, as he took the time to explain all the features made sure I got the best deal.
