On 10-05-10, my wife had a 0900 appointment for our 2003 Chevy Impala, with 66k miles, for oil, oil filter, lube, and battery test. When they replaced the battery, all the settings for radio, clock, and drivers door lock, were lost. If they had used a 9 volt battery, plugged into cigar lighter, before disconnecting the battery, the settings would have not been deleted. That was the only "work" I found fault with. If they had prevented all the settings from being lost, when replacing batteries, they would make more customers,"very happy campers" More
My service visit at Commonwealth Motors was a great experience. Service Manager Paul, listened carefully to my problem, explained what needed to be done, and ordered the parts. Attentive to needs and questions. Good price for oil changes/tire rotation. I love walking areound the showrroom and lot looking at the large selection of new and used cars. We acctually went to another dealer first who I caught lying to me about finance rates, when it got to the third lie I asked for our deposit back and called commonwealth. I was a little stressed and didn't want to purchase a car but had to after mine was hit by another driver and totaled. I did an internet search first to check out possible cars and prices from other dealers and then contacted Commonwealth by email and the response was quick. I got the information I asked for right away along with more reasonable prices. Lamar McLaughlin was not only down-to-earth, but very understanding of my needs and finances. There wasn't any pressure, he listened to what I had to say, heard my concerns and gave me all the time I needed to make the decision that was right for me. I did not feel that his goal was to make the current sale. I felt that he wanted me to find the perfect car and financing for myself, so that I would want to return to Commonwealth for my next car. Lamar and Hiram (the financial person) were knowledgable, answered all my questions and concerns, and tyreated me with respect. This was the fourth car I have purchased in 10 years due to my increasing family size (4 daughters). We called Commonwealth after receiving a quote from another dealership to trade in out 2007 Suburban to m to my increasing family size (4 daughters). We called Commonwealth after receiving a quote from another dealership to trade in out 2007 Suburban to make sure we had gotten the best deal (we didn't think so...) and we were right! When we called, we were fortunate to speak to Lamar on the phone. We came to Commonwealth that day.....and purchased our new car within the hour. I have never been so impressed with a dealership. Every single employee that we interacted with was absolutely amazing. Lamar was honest and fair and when he went to "work the numbers" he told us that he would give us the best possible price without the game of haggling. It was so refreshing. Not only was the monthly payment $50.00 less than the other dealership, this car had more features like a back up camera, back up sensors, the rear DVD player and more. It was unbelievable. The car had to be shipped from NY and true to his word, Lamar kept us updated on the progress and called us often to tell us where the car was and when it would be ready. This was particularly important because we were driving to Disney and needed the car to be ready in time. The DVD system had to be installed and Lamar was persistent and made sure the car was ready and perfect on the day promised. When we went in to do the paperwork, we worked with a woman named Karen who was also unbelievable. She made sure we had everything we needed (like GAP insurance) and made it fit into our monthly payment so we would be covered in case of an accident. I literally wanted to cry she was so nice and helpful and really took care of us. I brought the car in once for service for something related to the installation of the DVD player (Commonwealth had nothing to do with it). They asked me WHEN I would like to bring it in...made the appointment, took me immediately and fixed the problem. It was the best customer service I have ever received. Lamar heard we were there, he came to the service department to say "hello" and make sure everything was OK. Likewise, other employees that had seen us there when we were buying the car, saw us and REMEMBERED us and our girls and were so friendly. This place is unbelievable. I have recommended this dealership to all of my family and friends and will NEVER buy a car from anywhere else. This is the most amazing and impressive dealership and I highly recommend it to everyone! More
I purchased a 2010 Avalanche. I traded in my older one and love the truck. I had NO problems not one or any situations that were negative with this dealership or any sales person that I spoke too. They do really good oil changes and gave me some extra keys for the car. I crashed my car and went back to buy another one of the same kind becuase they are so kind and friendly to deal with. Needed an oil change and tire rotation, service dept opens at 7:00 Am, very convenient to get things done before work. Mike (service guy)was friendly and had me in an out quickly.
