I stopped into Colonial Volkswagen recently and spoke with Chris Tattrie while I was shopping for a new car. I actually went back to Colonial VW 3 times before making a decision. I was in having my car serviced and was approached by sales person Chris Tattrie. He was very courteous asking if I needed any assistance. He informed me that due to the record breaking snowfall in January the dealships was working hard to write deals. He was not at all pushy. Very professional, very polite. He gave me his card and said now might be a great time to move into a current year model. Having been a sales manager manager in the 80's I knew well how this historic snow fall in January would be hurting business. I came back on the last day of January and Chris, and I along with the help of his support staff settled on a deal and I moved up from my 2006 Passat to a new Jetta as my wife missed our 2003 Jetta because it was easier to park than the larger vehicle. This is the third VW I have aquired from Colonial in the last five years. I can not say enough about the dealership. They also have a great service department that fights hard with Corporate VW on behalf of their customers. They also do great work. Service Dept. answered all my questions about some of the features in the vehicle. They took care of all the paperwork for registering vehicle which was a bonus as well. Upon arriving at the dealership I went to the front desk and asked the receptionist for a salesperson who would be able to assit me with a new car. I sat with Chris to go over what I was looking for and he took me through the process step by step and was able to answer any questions I had. I was returning a leased BMW and wanted to get a vehicle that was less expensive and had better gas mileage. Chris showed me my options and we settled on a 2011 Jetta SE. It came with all the bells and whistles that I wanted. Navigator, blue tooth for my phone, hookup for my Ipod, and number of other options that came standard with the vehicle. The test drive was enjoyable and the car handled better than I expected it to. I once had an older version of the VW Jetta and there was certainly many improvements. I picked out the color that I wanted and my car was delivered and ready to be picked up 2 days later. Exeptional leg work all around to deliver my car when I wanted to pick it up. More

I originally bought a 2011 Jetta SEL w/ sports package (I owned a 2001 VW Wolfsburg previously). However, the sports suspension was much harder than my 2001 (also a sports suspension), which I was surprised owned a 2001 VW Wolfsburg previously). In addition, my car within the first 5000 miles made several clicking as well as vibration noises in the dash. It went back to the dealership 3 times for them to try to work it out, but it still persisted. They opted to put me in a new model again without the sports package. Normally I would have been extremely upside down trading in a new car, however they got me very close to what I was already paying in payments. They also threw in stainless steel exhaust tips and rubber floor mats for free. The suspension is great now and I got a color that I preferred more than the original. Chris Finneran was my salesman and he was very helpful and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. I would recommend this dealership to a friend.
