I was in the process of looking for a new vehicle, and I was trying to decide between two different brands. After visiting Colonial Volkswagen of Westborough, my mind was made up for me. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and they put my mind at ease in terms of what a great product this manufacturer has. The salesman that I worked with was Mike Lodowsky. He was professional, knowledgeable, and was dedicated to finding a car that met my personal, unique needs. All other staff that I came in contact with went out of their way to greet me and talk to me. After bringing my new car home, they have stayed in constant contact in order to make sure I was happy with my purchase, and was there to answer any and all questions that I had. My prior experiences with car shopping were negative with feelings of stress and pressure. Colonial Volkswagen truly made my car shopping experience not only enjoyable but they have a guaranteed customer for life! More
We just bought a 2012 Jetta Sportwagon TDI from Colonial VW of Westborough. We’re very happy that we stopped at Colonial VW in Westborough. The staff was friendly and cordial. Our salesman, Lenny Ball, was courteous, helpful and knowledgeable. He listened and responded with a viable solution. No pressure. As it was, precisely what we were looking for was not in stock. We were ready to order and wait. However, Lenny did some further research and found that a car fitting our description was due to arrive in about three weeks. We left a $500 deposit to hold the car. Lenny called about two weeks later saying it had arrived. Sure enough, it was perfect, brand new and exactly as requested. We test drove this amazing car. Shane Bhatty guided us through the purchasing and paperwork process. We felt that we were dealt with honestly. We got a loan at the lowest rate possible. Lenny introduced us to Service Dept. staff, explained the maintenance schedule, etc., scheduled the first maintenance appointment. He carefully reviewed and instructed us on the features of the car, in detail, before we drove off, hassle free. Overall, we felt that we were working with folks who were doing everything they reasonably could on our behalf. We will definitely recommend this dealership to others. More
WOW!! Bill and the dealership are outstanding! I've bought three cars from Colonial so far, the latest being a Golf TDI. The sales staff are excellent, especially Mike Lodowski. He never pressures, is honest, and is just an all around great guy- doing being a Golf TDI. The sales staff are excellent, especially Mike Lodowski. I visited two VW dealerships and conversed with three other dealerships within 35 miles of my home. I was searching for a 2011 gas,automatic Golf to test drive, but no dealer had one available. Two deal other dealerships within 35 miles of my home. I was searching for a 2011 gas,automatic Golf to test drive, but no dealer had one available. Two dealerships said they were able to find such a vehicle for purchase. I was visiting my son in Northborough, MA, and noted that Colonial VW was just a few miles away, so even though I knew that they did not have one either (in fact we could not even locate a 2011 gas,automatic Golf in New England),I decided that at least I could test drive a 2011 automatic Golf TDI. Bill Treannie greeted me and within a few minutes we were on the road in a GOLF TDI; drove really well, but I was still set on wanting to test drive the gas version of the Golf. So Bill with the Sales manager Tony searched for the exact vehicle I wanted (2011 Golf 2.5L, automatic, 4-door, Candy White exterior, with minimum number of options). They found one in Brooklyn, and wanted to make a deal. With little effort on my part they agreed to get the vehicle and have the purchase contingent on me wanting the car after a test drive, if I put $500 down, which would be refundable if we did not complete the deal. They gave me an excellent discount on the MSRP, based on the reliable information I earlier found from Consumer Reports. This all happened on Friday, June 3rd. They were also willing to let me think about it over the weekend, which I did. On Monday we conversed again and indicated that I also wanted to trade in a 2000 Camry LE, which was acceptable to them. The car arrived at Colonial on Friday morning, June 10th, and we set an appointment time of 1:30 pm for a test drive. Well needless to say I loved the drive and was ready to purchase. They gave me a fair value for my trade-in (in addition to the discounted price we agreed to earlier) with little hassle. The paperwork went smoothly with absolutely no pressure. I drove off the lot at 3:30 in my new Golf, after Bill spent time going over all the features of the car, knowing that I had to return for my registration and inspection the next morning. So in a short, painless 2 hour period I test drove the car and completed the transaction! There was a slight problem on Saturday morning which they handled efficiently while I was there with no wasted time. I have purchased a number of new cars over the years, and typically have dreaded the experience---but this was not the case at Colonial. Bill walked me through everything in a professional, friendly way, and I highly recommend him to others. I could not be more pleased with the experience. I cannot imagine that I would have gotten a better financial deal at any other dealership, nor a better experience. My sincere thanks to Bill and Tony. More
My family and I happened to stop by Colonial VW after the plan to pick up a Lexus from another dealership didn't go as well. After some back and forth negotiation, my offer was accepted and our family walked away happily with the new VW. What sets this dealer apart from others is their honesty and willingness to go above and beyond to make us happy customers. I have bought maybe at least seven new cars since I got my license and this was the best experience. Thank you Colonial and Dino for the great experience of buying a car! More
Everyone that I worked with at this dealership was fantastic. The whole staff was friendly and accomadating.
