Had my rear brake pads replaced April 2023($500) was told didn’t need rotors because they were fine. February 2024 brought vehicle in because the brakes were grinding in reverse. Played the video with then l didn’t need rotors because they were fine. February 2024 brought vehicle in because the brakes were grinding in reverse. Played the video with then loud noise. They said they couldn’t duplicate, mentioned rust on the rotor and said you’ll be fine. 6 weeks later, “service brake system” warning. Brought the vehicle in and was told need pads and rotors for $850. Even though they were just done a year ago I was told “I don’t know why they didn’t replace the rotors too, we don’t do just pads and that that tech is no longer with us.” Obviously they did just replace only the pads. Offered $100 off. Did not perform the service, will be taking my vehicle elsewhere going forward. Additionally, on a prior visit, scratched my door and tried to fix by buffing it out and now I have clear coat damage. More
They seem so focused on sales and efficiency of pushing parts they don’t pay any attention at all to how many trips the customer has to make to get anything resolved. I bought a brand-new Chevrolet Tahoe Premier in December 2023 and noticed that the passenger side seat had a crease in the leather seat portion. I brought the vehicle in to have the leather seat replaced. 2023 and noticed that the passenger side seat had a crease in the leather seat portion. I brought the vehicle in to have the leather seat replaced. When I picked it up, they had replaced the driver's side seat instead of the passenger side seat. So, I now have 2 leather seats that look terrible one that has a crease and the other that is loose. I brought vehicle back a 2nd time with same results. When I brought back the 3rd time, I still looks terrible. The big problem is they cannot get the seat cover tight enough. From the factory my rear seats are great. I spoke to Emily from GM Chevrolet Customer Assistance, and she told me they were sorry for the inconvenience, but there was not much GM can do because the warranty dept is separate from GM itself. So, my recommendation to you is to bring it back to Colonial Chevrolet to fix the problem. Honestly, I brought the vehicle to Mirak Chevrolet since Colonial has not been able to fix the problem in 3 visits. So, I was told at Mirak that they could see the problem that I have but because Colonial has already been paid for the warranty work then I would have to bring it back to Colonial again. I am very unhappy with Colonial Chevrolet for doing nothing to correct the problem. I am absolutely disgusted that I had to drive 40 miles back and forth from my home each time I have to go to Colonial Chevrolet and not to be able to fix the problem in 3 appointments. I am also disgusted with GM because they do not want to stand by their product. I asked them if they could have an auto upholstery company install the new leather seats and they flat out said no bring it back to Colonial Chevrolet. RD More
