Got kicked out from the financial office after closing deal. I used USAA Auto Circle to find the dealer and send them a certificate from true car to make a deal on a Tacoma 4x2 double cab V6. When I arrived to the dealership on Sunday 29JUN2014 it took me three times to go inside the dealership for somebody to help me out after I was looking for a salesperson to get assistance. On Monday 30JUN2014 I talked to Nicklas the True Car representative for Coggin Toyota at the Avenues dealer; when I arrived at 4pm, made a deal to buy a different Tacoma from the one submitted in the true car certificate and the dealer was taking my old car for trade in. He finally agreed to the price and sent me to start signing the paperwork with the financial manager and I started to read all the documents handed to me before signing. After reading all the documents, the financial manager directed me to sign the paperwork. In the middle of the signing process, one of the operation managers entered the room and directed me to leave the dealership because he was not interested in the deal anymore without giving me any reason for that. I told him to return all my paperwork already signed that compromised my commitment to the broken deal, and he threw the paperwork at me over the financial manager’s desk and; additionally came to find out that the dealer illegally photocopied my military CAC identification card, violating Title 18, U.S. Code, Part I, Chapter 33, and Section 701. They made me waste my entire afternoon leaving the dealership at 9pm. Nicklas, the salesperson did not even handed back the key for may trade in car, he just left it in his desk and the manager just kicked me out in front of other customers. To top off the case, I was in my military service uniform and totally embarrassed me in front of the other customers. Definitely, less than substandard service the one I got at Coggin Toyota at the Avenues in Jacksonville Florida. More
My son's car (Toyota Matrix) had to be towed to Coggin Service Center due to engine problems. Andy Chan was my service representative and he took down all the details concerning the car issues an Coggin Service Center due to engine problems. Andy Chan was my service representative and he took down all the details concerning the car issues and immediately had my son in a Toyota Camry for his use while his car was in for repair. The only reason I was there was to pick him up and let him use one of my cars. Andy kept us informed on the status of the repair. Once they got to a point in the repair and found extensive damage in the engine they notified me right away. I went to the service center where Andy and Greg (I think) showed me the damage prior to disassembling anymore and explained in great detail on what it would take to repair and gave me several options to think about. They also explained how the damaged may of occurred so it wouldn't happen again. It took me several days to make a decision with Andy's help. I eventually decide to trade in the Matrix for a new Scion tc. Andy never gave me any pressure to do something I didn't want too and he listen very well to my concerns and options. He provided the cost of the repair, trade-in value after repair, and trade-in value as is (engine removed) at my request. With Andy's help I was able to make the best discussion and did the trade-in as is. We were able to keep the tires and rims from the Matrix and put the stocked tires back on (the service center did that for us). Everything went very smooth and working with Andy was a pleasure and I never once felt pressured to hurry up to make a decision. Andy made us feel very comfortable and I would highly recommend using Coggin Toyota Service department!! More

He greeted me with telling me I came to the right person and not to worry. I was skeptical at first. However, he proved me wrong. He went out of his way to make sure I had everything I wanted. I was sooo very happy. I would buy my next car from him too. I told all my friends how wonderful he was as well. Thanks for making a dreaded experiance sooo very wonderful. I purchased a truck from Coggin Toyota at the Avenues and have had nothing but issues with them ever since. I will not go into details, but my down payment was not used as agreed, they couldn't even properl have had nothing but issues with them ever since. I will not go into details, but my down payment was not used as agreed, they couldn't even properly wash the truck before I took it home and after I brought it back, and the sales manager flat out lied to my face regarding some repairs. They only care about the sale and then it's "good luck" after that. Their idea of customer service is wasting your time so that they can just tell you "there is nothing we can do." After spending $25k on a truck I would have hoped for better service. I would NEVER buy another car from that dealership or recommend that anyone ever go there. More
I had been shopping around for a 2014 Tacoma for a while, conducting research on automobile rating sites, as well as on Consumer Reports for "actual dealer invoice"--not the prices you see placarded on the v conducting research on automobile rating sites, as well as on Consumer Reports for "actual dealer invoice"--not the prices you see placarded on the vehicle windows. Several dealerships contacted me, but their OTD (out the door) prices were way too much over their actual costs. Further, some were not very informative. They just wanted to get me to come on their turf for negotiations. I did most of my communications/negotiations online. Matt Seedorf at Coggin Toyota was extremely helpful, but not pushy. If he was, I would have walked away immediately. He was able to beat all the quotes I had received from other dealerships for a 2014 Tacoma, and the price was well within reason of the price I received from Consumer Report. At that point, I visited the dealership. The final paperwork process was smooth, easy and efficient. The business manager tried to sell me a few of the over-priced "care" packages, but I declined them all. He also wasn't too pushy when he saw that I meant "no" on the packages. Bottom line, the sales process was extremely positive and I would recommend Coggin (Matt) for your future car purchases. Unfortunately, the service dept needs some work. Besides not calling me about the side steps to be installed (I had to call them), I still waited about 2 hours to have them installed, even though I had an appointment. Further, I couldn't tell who was an employee or not as there seemed to be no dress code for their service dept staff. When my truck was completed, I saw it parked outside for about 15 minutes waiting for someone to tell me it was ready; they never did. I had to ask and then I was taken care of. More
We were greeted immediately, treated well. Darrell answered all our questions and even volunteered information for things we did not know to ask. I was treated professionally by a very knowledgeable sales person, with no pressure to buy. Both he and his manager (Dmitry) stayed with the process until we were able to arrive at a deal. Unlikely th sales person, with no pressure to buy. Both he and his manager (Dmitry) stayed with the process until we were able to arrive at a deal. Unlikely though the car I ended up buying looked at first glance (older and more miles than I had been willing to consider), I believe Brian picked just the right buyer for it; I get great enjoyment out of my Camry LE's special factory-installed 'luxury package'. I went to service my car and instead of waiting in the waiting room I went to sales department to look at cars. I test drove a car and talked about trading in my lease but they wouldn't even give me a rou waiting room I went to sales department to look at cars. I test drove a car and talked about trading in my lease but they wouldn't even give me a rough estimate on how much I would pay for a car without pulling my cosigners credit. Two hours pass by and I go to get my car cause I was pretty sure it would be ready but to my amazement there was no one in the service department except 1 person who said that she didn't have the keys to my car or if she called her supervisor that she would not pick up her phone and she didn't have the number for the service manager. So I went back to the sales department to see if they could get my keys or fix the problem but they pretty much didn't recognize my existence and just brushed me away saying they don't have anyway of contacting the managers in service department or any way to get the keys. The Salesman that I test drove a car with found a mechanic in service department and was able to call the manager or somebody to get my keys and sign the receipt. How was the mechanic able to get the phone number but not the female working in the office? Also why did they not call me when I was not in the waiting room and my car was ready? They did ask me for my phone number when I gave them to service my car. This is the best example of poor customer service. More
