I went to Coggin Toyota today after making an appointment online for 12:20pm for a simple oil change. Upfront I must say that i have been to this place for the last 15 or so years! Anyway, I get there and I online for 12:20pm for a simple oil change. Upfront I must say that i have been to this place for the last 15 or so years! Anyway, I get there and I was smoothly directed to an “advisor” as Toyota calls them. I told the guy I have an appointment at 12:20pm. He asked me to wait as he has few things to take care of . After few minutes I told him my appointment was at 12:20pm and then he started to put the details together and told me the wait is about or less than 2hours, which although a bit long, I accepted as it’s a Saturday. There’s another client before me , which this “advisor “ took care of. While waiting for my turn, I noticed another couple behind me (appeared) to be friends of the “advisor”. Anyway, i sat waiting. I noticed the people in front of me leaving with their car after about one hour. In the meanwhile the “advisor “ kept on coming and talking/updating the people behind me. I was completely ignored, which I didn’t care as long as I get my car on time. I texted this “advisor” two times for updates. But Then I noticed the people behind me leaving with their car (serviced, I assume). This’s again a red flag for me. I texted him again, which was ignored again. Anyway, after waiting for 3hours (for an oil change) I asked for the manager and spoke to someone introduced himself as a manager. He’s very courteous and showed the demeanor of a Toyota employee. He told me he will look into the problem. He came back and apologized (the primary advisor didn’t show the candor to do this even after my repeated messages) for the unusual and unacceptable delay and told me he’s someone working on my car. After this, the original advisor came with a report of the needed repairs. I told him I wish i had the time to take care of them, but today it’s already late- almost 4hours at Toyota service place! Then I received a notification that my car is ready and went to the original “advisor” and asked him. He’s unnecessary rude with me there. So, I went to the manager and asked if he could take care of me. He gladly and most professionally took care of everything. I told him that I wanted to file a formal complaint. He then brought the director (i was told) and I explained to him as well everything. He promised that he would take care of everything. I still don’t know what he meant. I haven’t heard back from Toyota yet!! I seldom complain, but thought this was somewhat disappointing and my even be considered as an incident of “negative profiling” of a person. I wonder if Toyota stands by such unhealthy attitudes at their service centers. More
I went in for service On Saturday, due to unexpected travel on Monday and after calling several places, Coggin was the only one that I could make an appointment that. I arrived and met Jacob my service travel on Monday and after calling several places, Coggin was the only one that I could make an appointment that. I arrived and met Jacob my service advisor who was amazing. Great communicator and sympathetic to my travel needs. I figured I would be there for about three hours, waiting not to be less than two hours for the deluxe service. fantastic experience. More
I have been coming to this dealership since I was about 16 years old with my very first car and I have never been hustled like I did this past weekend. I was going in for my routine check and fixing for my 16 years old with my very first car and I have never been hustled like I did this past weekend. I was going in for my routine check and fixing for my car. After paying for the fix and getting ready to get into my car and leave I was approached by a man who works for Toyota/clear cut glass company (don’t quote me on the name of this company but it was for car windows). I had a small dent in my glass that I had repaired by my insurance years prior and had no issue with the small cover repair. This man came to sell glass in order to repair my window. It was never even suggested by the Toyota worker I was working with that day AND this man did not approach asking if I wanted the service, it was hustled into me. He then kept the conversation going as friendly as possible while pressuring me to sign into my insurance app and calling over a fellow coworker to take my cell phone and put in a claim with my insurance. I was utterly fuming. I don’t like to be rude to people and I knew I could cancel this claim, however don’t hassle people when they are trying to get into their car and leave. The amount of pressure from 2 individuals was ridiculous. I have never been treated that way in all the years I have come there. If there is a service that is collaborating with Toyota then the individual that we see at the desk should suggest it when paying the bill, if we deny then no one needs to approach us and not when I’m in the middle of trying to sit down and leave at the end of my visit.
