This is my second new car purchased at this dealership. The first one was a 2001 Xterra back in 2000. Once there I was greeted immediately by Irvin Ricks and was informed that the person I wanted to meet with was not there this particular day. My first instinct was to bolt (because I really didn't want a new car anyway). Irvin insisted that he could help me and he did. Once inside I was also greeted by George Girjil who reinforced that they would do everything to make this experience a positive one. Both gentlemen quickly discovered anything other than the exact duplicate of the 2001 would never due. So this morning I received a call from Irvin telling me that a 2009 Silver Xterra just arrived on the truck. I was the first to sit in it and was even able to peel the bubble wrap off of the steering wheel. How new can you get? It only had 7 miles on it, had every option my last car had, and had the newer upgrades that made it even better. They continually worked on the financing so it was tweaked to exactly what I felt our household income could confortably support. We especially love that our monthly payments will be exactly the same as they were when we purchased our first Nissan 10 years ago. Truly a great car buying experience! More
I've already recommended this dealership to some friends that are looking for cars. Fast. Friendly. Straight forward. Better deal than I could get at the Nissan across town. I chose this dealership because it's very close to where I live. I worked for Nissan as a salesman all through the 90's so there's not a trick I don't know. What I found was a laid back professional salesman that was very knowlegeable. (Mike Beaver) I left with the info I needed and a test drive and NO pressure to buy. I was impressed. I came back a week later and purchased the vehicle (Altima) and financed it there. It was the best car buying experience I've ever had (I'm 50). I highly recommend this dealership and Mike Beaver. I picked him because he had experience. I've learned to ask the receptionist the question " who's been working at the dealership the longest" and Mike was high on the seniority list. FYI - Never work with rookie salesmen when you go to purchase a vehicle. Anyway - Bottom Line for me - C. N. @ the Avenues rocks....!!!!! More
I had an excellent experience while buying my TWO new vehicles. I had a slight problem that they rectified and the sales Manager was extremely helpful in making sure that I was completely satisfied. I was frustrated. . .c Mr. Ricardo Belizaire is a WONDERFUL Salesman!!!!! On July 4th, I walked into the Cogin Nissan Dealership at the Avenues. I was frustrated. . .coming from another dealership. Ricardo met me with a friendly and very professional greeting and asked me how he could help. Still a little frustrated I immediately let him know that I just wanted to know if they had the car that I wanted and that I didn’t want to be there all day long. Ricardo immediately started working the issue. He took my car and traded it in for the same price that the other dealership offered, he assured me that they could get the exact car that I wanted, put me in a car off the lot with a full tank of gas until my car came in. In addition he continuously called to check on me to make sure that I was satisfied and assured me that everything was going along as planned. I really appreciated the fact that he took care of everything which made it much easier with me having my one year old son with me while trying to conduct business and without my husband being there physically because he is on deployment. I really felt comfortable knowing that this salesman was working with me! It is a known fact that it is very hard to find genuine people who really care and try their best to help. I will tell ANYONE that if you need a car and you don’t want to deal with all of the B.S. that can come along with purchasing a car. . .please save yourself some time and go to Cogin and ask for Ricardo!!! ~ Thanks Ricardo~ Corina & Roosevelt White ; ) More
Exceptional in every way, made a special effort to compete with another dealer, they really wanted to make a sale. I purchase a car every year and would welcome the opportunity to do business with bot compete with another dealer, they really wanted to make a sale. I purchase a car every year and would welcome the opportunity to do business with both of them again. Went to another local Nissan dealer, they didn't even offer me the national sales program. With the economic climate the way that it is, I would think every dealer would represent Nissan the way they have. With the internet the way it is, I would think that dealerships and sales people would understand that the public isn't as misinformed and excuse the expression (stupid). The other dealership in Jacksonville was Mike Shad Nissan. More
We called ahead and dealership had 3 cars ready for us to choose from to test drive. Customer Service and immediate attention was given to us as soon as we arrived. Richard, Staci and Kip were all very nice choose from to test drive. Customer Service and immediate attention was given to us as soon as we arrived. Richard, Staci and Kip were all very nice an accomodating. We were looking for a new vehicle so Quality of Work (assuming that means maintenance or repairs) weren't needed. Everyone in the dealership were very friendly, non-pushy and knowledgeable about the car we ended up purchasing. I've owned my previous car for over 14 years and remember, even 14 years ago, that the experience to talk price, test drive, general attitude of the salespeople was dreadful. Not so this time by any means. Richard, Staci & Kip were all low-key and left my husband and I to talk when we needed without them be intrusive. The price of the Nissan to the comparable cars from other manufacturers was great. We got a lot more for the money. And most importantly, were able to stick to our budgeted amount without too much back & forth. The overall experience was fairly painless and enjoyed all of the salespeople. More

I have used Coggin Nissan of the Avenues for nearly 11 years. The New Sales Department is the most professional I have ever experienced. The sales staff were friendly, knowledgeable, patient with my many questions and extremely helpful. They went “above and beyond” to make the new car buying process as easy as possible. For my new 2009 vehicle, Coggin was the only dealership I considerd using because of their excellent past track record with my previous vehicles. The service department is just as professional, friendly and helpful. Their work is very high quality, dependable, quick and fairly priced. The service department waiting area is comfortable and offers many conveniences. The staff keep you informed about your vehicle’s progress every step of the way. I would not think of taking my Nissan any where else to be serviced. More
We saw Stacey on Father's Day and she chatted quite a bit about her father, her life, etc. She tried to rope us into a commitment before even getting into any particulars. She didn't listen when we tol about her father, her life, etc. She tried to rope us into a commitment before even getting into any particulars. She didn't listen when we told her that we needed cloth seats and lumbar support. She had us test drive 2 cars that did not have these features, nor could they be ordered with these features. The day was very hot and the cars were very hot. She chatted about personal things during our test drive. It was hard to concentrate on driving and evaluating the car. In the end, it was an hour wasted. She did not have what we wanted and didn't even know it. Cute & friendly girl, not a good or knowledgeable salesperson. More
