Billy from sales was great. He was friendly, attentitive, and refrained from being too pushy. He answered all questions to the best of his ability and sought assistance if not able to do so. He assisted with unanswered questions and was reasonable in the "box". No one was rude or negative, and I didn't feel that any games were being played, or tricky sales tactics employed. The folks at Coggin at the Avenues were fair from the beginning and went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the car I purchased. I can't even begin to praise Coggin Nissan and Lou Ibarra enough. I walked into Coggin with a complex situation (negative equity on my trade in and less than stellar credit thanks to a bunch of student loans enough. I walked into Coggin with a complex situation (negative equity on my trade in and less than stellar credit thanks to a bunch of student loans) as well as a pretty defeated attitude with car dealerships in general. I have to admit, I didn't have high hopes that they would be able to make a deal happen just because of my previous experiences in the weeks prior at other dealerships. I had been to almost a dozen dealerships around Jacksonville prior to coming to Coggin and while I had a handful of "almost" deals, there were so many multiple factors that didn't make me feel really GOOD about completing a transaction with any one of them. Either I didn't feel I was treated respectfully as a professional young single female, the payment was outside of my comfort zone or beyond what was advertised, or I felt my trade in was being low-balled. Overall, my previous negotiations made me hesitant to want to make the serious kind of investment a car purchase is with any dealer. When I arrived at Coggin, it was a busy time (end of the month) and I was lucky enough to catch Lou Ibarra as my sales consultant. He was friendly but at the same time respected my time and business and treated me with the no-nonsense manner I had so desperately been waiting for. I felt comfortable speaking with Lou and felt like he was listening to my concerns as a consumer and the traits I was looking for in a car. He respected those preferences and my situation as a consumer, even if it wasn't the most golden scenario out there. And it was only an added bonus that he treated me to drinks out of his mini-fridge and let me have some of the pizza the employees had gotten that night as they worked out my details on the financing side. To be concise and not rave about how patient and great Lou was, in the end they made the impossible happen - Coggin Nissan offered me one of the fairest values for my trade in while simultaneously offering me a fantastic value on a brand new Nissan Sentra. Beyond that - Lou was able to find one in my top choice for colors with the bells and whistles that makes buying a new car exciting. And even FURTHER, they were able to find better financing than I was previously pre-approved for at an interest rate a full 1.5% lower. AND ... yes, one more: I was able to get an extended warranty to five years, bumper to bumper, for only two additional dollars a month. My mind was blown, I contained my inner school-girl excitement, and I drove the car off the lot that night. The very following day, my boyfriend and I were so impressed with the service and treatment we received from Lou and Coggin Nissan, that we came back and gave Lou further business when, even after performing a near miracle by getting me into my new vehicle the day before, he honored the incredibly competitive advertised internet pricing on a 2011 Used SUV that my boyfriend ended up purchasing that day. Trust me when I say, he hasn't stopped raving about that car since. Both cars drive like a dream, and we're thrilled with our rides and our transactions. I wish I could better express my appreciation for Lou's hard work and the team over at Coggin Nissan but I simply cannot. They handled my tricky situation like truly experienced professionals and treated my boyfriend and me with the respect and courtesy that can unfortunately be hard to find at times in this industry. While I know right now I seem to be gushing, I can only assure you of how negative my tone was in this car search JUST one day before walking into Coggin Nissan - I was so completely over it all. I am so grateful these guys were there to turn around my luck and send me off in the perfect car for me. More

I think after the complaint fell on the right ears a new focus was established. It was great working with David, Leo, Odell and Sabastian. Completely changed my mind about the dealership. We went to the dealership knowing we had bad credit but after talking with Stephen King he promised he could make it work for us. Couldn't get a phone call returned, no answer to my emails and when we did go over there stephen king a tricia got into a verbal confrontation on the showroom floor. Stephen King told us that Tricia was scared of my husband but didnt know why. We were asked to provide pay stubs which we did and took them to the finance manager Sabastian who apparently is the only man who can work with people with less than perfect credit. He was out for a few days and apparently Coggin Nissan cannot sell cars without him. Anyway after giving him the statements as requested we heard nothing. We went to a few other dealerships and heard some "horror" stories from other car salesmen about Coggin Nissan, not the whole Coggin brand just the Nissan part. We even went to another Coggin and was told by their sales manager than there are numerous complaints against the Coggin Nissan. Needless to say after being fed stories of potentially owning a newer vehicle we are still driving our old vehicle. The last thing we need to do with challenged credit is to have our bureau pulled over and over. Back to the drawing board and hopefully we can find a more reputable dealer who can start out honest and keep it that way. Very disappointed in Coggin Nissan because the behavior is allowed to exist at that dealership and not at the other Coggin areas. Clearly poor management. More

It was refreshing to have a salesperson be honest with us from the beginning. He truly listened to what we were looking for and as well as our financial limitations, and put his most honest effort to genuinely give us what we were looking for. I would recommend this dealership and Mansel to anyone looking for an easier car-buying experience. More
