Last December I returned from Iraq after a year deployed with the 3rd Infantry Division and where I returned to Ft. Stewart, GA. I went down to Jacksonville, FL because I heard they had better prices on ve with the 3rd Infantry Division and where I returned to Ft. Stewart, GA. I went down to Jacksonville, FL because I heard they had better prices on vehicles since I was in the business of finding a new vehicle. I found a 2011 Titan that was my speed in price and luxury and everything was fine until we began the financing. James Patrick (JP) was the snake in the grass that all car dealerships have the stigma of having. He talked very fast and almost tried rushing my wife and I out of his office with the new truck before we even sat down. He lied to me about how much Capital One Auto Finance was willing to charge interest on the vehicle, he lied to me about not being able to register a new vehicle in the state of MD (because of "emissions issues" (my state of residence all the while in the military) forcing me to purchase GA tags (since being stationed in the state I was allowed to do so). The thing that takes the cake was the fact that for two weeks I was driving on a temporary FL tag before I was notified about the MD registration "problem" and that there would be a new contract sent over night to me to re-sign with GA plates/tags instead. I took it upon myself to drive down to Jacksonville, FL while on leave for two weeks to figure this all out. I showed up and spoke with JP. He wanted me to sign a brand new agreement because he claimed that Capital One would not finance me at the interest rate on the agreement. JP lied to my face and I do not understand why. He told me that with the warranty plan included, that Capital One would not finance me even though the paperwork was completed. I told him i refused to re-sign anything and left after being told my truck could not be registered in the state of MD and I was forced to sign paperwork agreeing to GA tags/title. I will get back to JP in a second. Now to the truck: it has already had two issues. A/c actuator motor was recalled and the oil filter that originally came on the truck (before my 1st oil change) was screwed down incorrectly, stripping the filter and gasket. At my first warranty covered servicing, the dealership in MD actually had to remove the piece the oil filter screws on to from my truck and replace it with a new one from a truck in their inventory. By the grace of God I was not left stranded when driving the truck to MD after separating from the Army in GA. So back to James Patrick's lies: after having my vehicle inspected in MD to register it for the second time, finally in my actual state of residence, the only thing that would have hindered the tag/registration with MD was the darkness of front window tint. JP has made my life difficult since day one of this vehicle and Robert, the manager has not returned my phone calls to the dealership. I had to pay out of my pocket to have the tint removed that came stock from the dealership's inventory at another Nissan dealership, and now come to find out, MD taxes 6% of what is left on the lien of the vehicle forcing me to come up with over $1k out of pocket to register a brand new vehicle in the state I am a resident. This should have been taken care of from the get go and should not even have been an issue. I will never return to this dealership and every person I know will certainly know this treatment of veterans and military personnel. I have friends in Jacksonville, FL and I have already began spreading the word of how this place operates. I have done everything in my power besides a lawsuit to remedy every "problem" that arose while dealing with JP but it seems they are conniving, manipulating, and untrustworthy enough to make these very same "problems" up on a whim. Never again. This is a poor representation of Nissan and if the spirit moves me paperwork may begin rolling since I know an attorney in Jacksonville. Nothing I have asked for like an explanation could be answered without more lies spewing out of every single person at the dealership. Disgusting. More
I have now had a Nissan for 15 years. I traded my 1995 Nissan 200SX (which I also bought at Coggin Nissan on Atlantic) for my 2008 Sentra. I have been very satisfied with the overall purchasing experience Nissan 200SX (which I also bought at Coggin Nissan on Atlantic) for my 2008 Sentra. I have been very satisfied with the overall purchasing experience with Richard Wright and each time I have come in to have my Sentra serviced. My recent experience with Susan Kay was also great. Susan was friendly, informative, and efficient. More
Mr. Wright was kind, concerned, and helpful..he was humorous..we had bought a 2011 Nissan in st. augustine..nothing noteworthy in that dealership..the car was stock, no luxuries..no auto door locks etc humorous..we had bought a 2011 Nissan in st. augustine..nothing noteworthy in that dealership..the car was stock, no luxuries..no auto door locks etc..we did not realize what an inconvenience that would be. my husband is on oxygen, has to carry a tank on his back. Being the only door key opener was on the drivers side, I had to stand outside and wait for my husband to unlock his door and stretch over to open mine..with his back pack this was very strenous for him..we we decided to trade up..while we were filling out papers in another persons office, Richard came and put the keys to the new car on the desk. my husband took the keys and put them in his pocket..Richard came back in and said "I DID give you the keys, right?"..NO said my husband..Richard had the whole lobby team looking for the keys and was about to call Pop a lock when he came to check with my husband one more time..my husband showed him the keys..Husband said "you asked me did you HAND me the keys..no, you hadnt!"..It seems Richard is a practical joker at this job, and the fellow workers got a kick out of Richard getting a joke played on him..We also have to carry around 8 or more cylinders of oxygen and a carrier in the car, and Richard did all the transfering to our new vehicle. Very helpful..and I hope he gets that trip at the end of the year..and maybe he'll ask me to go!!! More
It was by far the easiest most comfortable experience we had with a dealership. Very straight forward, honest, and professional. I would defenitely refer friends and family to them. In fact she was so professional and caring, I would send close family members to her because I know she would do the right thing. It was a "no haggle" deal. Yohan did the financing part, and got us the best rate going -even with, because of the economy and real estate situation, our dinged credit. Great - give them an 11 out of 10 !!! Tom More
My salesperson was very attentive. She asked me why I wanted to trade my Sentra that I had only a year & a half. I gave her all my reasons. She asked me which ones were most important to me.
