poor service bought a car from this dealership almost 2 months ago. within 3 weeks I had trouble with battery. went in talked to Patrick he told me to go purchase bought a car from this dealership almost 2 months ago. within 3 weeks I had trouble with battery. went in talked to Patrick he told me to go purchase a battery and bring receipt and he would wright me a check. I did then he said it would take over 24 hrs to get my check .this all started around july 6th. from then till now july 21 ive called Patrick and the manager bobby. they say ill call u back and they don't. when I do get a hold of them they say they will check the emails and get back to me within 30 min. I never here from them . I was late on my rent because I used some of that money because he said he would give me a check the day I got it . they should of fixed the problem for me and not sent me for a battery . More

Hamilt My husband and I had a Very Pleasant Experience Purchasing Our "New to Us SUV". Tam, "Sales Manager" welcomed us and introduced us to Ms. L. Hamilton, Our Salesperson, Very Pleasant Lady. We had a nice Experience at another Coggin Dealership 5 months ago, so much so that when we decided to search for another Auto, we were Determined we would Only Shop Coggin Dealers ! We looked at an SUV that was at Coggin Honda St. Augustine, it was Very Nice but Not Exactly what we wanted. Tam, and Ms. Hamilton helped us search "other Coggin Dealers online, we found what we wanted and asked them to have it transferred to "this location" , No Problem, it arrived the following day. We took another 1 Hour ride from Jax. to St. Augustine to Look at this SUV we had found, we were Delighted ! It was Beautiful and Exactly as described on their website ! Yes, That was OUR Dream SUV !!!! Tam and Ms. L. Hamilton worked very hard to get us the payments we needed to be at. They went above and beyond and did not mind at all, they were willing to do whatever was needed to get us in to this SUV ! Patrick, the Finance Manager also was very pleasant, he took the time to explain Everything to us as we had been Mislead by a Lender. We also had the Pleasure of meeting BOB, the Service Manager. He also went above and beyond to answer our questions. Should we need "Service" in the future, we will drive the 1 hour to his Service department ! Over All , It was an Exceptional, Delightful Experience ! We will not hesitate to recommend Coggin Honda St. Augustine to all our family and friends. Hurry, Hurry, Hurry! I purchased a used Lexus (2009) to the salesman and manager everything was rush, rush, rush. They took my car on trade that they never seen,it was in a shop for repairs. Things moved very, very quickly, too fast. Bought the car took it home. The next morning I found the two rear windows would not retract from the master control. Talked to Tom my salesman, who said he would check with his manager. Two weeks later no answer. Stopped at the dealer, salesman not in, I was told Honda People are only trained on Honda products, take the car to Toyota. I went next door to Beaver Toyota, explained my problem, a serviceman walked out with me fixed the problem, No Charge! There's more, I bought the protection package and was told, just bring it back to Coggin for any warranty. NOT TRUE!. I found a crack in the dash took the car into Coggin, showed them the crack. I was told they would call me later. They did only to tell me that I must deal direct with the company that offered the protection package. You tell me, where will I buy my next car!! More
This was one of the worst experiences I have had working with a car dealer. They wasted a large amount of our time making us wait for them to bring cars we were interested in around to the front instead of with a car dealer. The sales manager took my wife's keys purportedly to evaluate her car for a trade and moved our car around near the back of the building where we couldn't see it and failed to return our keys. They tried to push us into talking numbers when we made it clear that we were still in the research phase and simply wanted is to sit in and drive some cars to narrow down what we were interested in. Clogging Nissan at the Avenues in Jacksonville pulled the key trick on me in 2005 when I was shopping for my truck and I nearly had to call 911 to get my keys back so that must be a standard practice at Coggin dealerships so I won't ever visit a lot with the Coggin name on it again. I don't know why they think making the customer angry and making them feel trapped will sell cars. Had I not been distracted by looking at a car in the showroom I wouldn't have let the key trick happen still that practice needs to stop. More

I bought my Ridgeline from Coggin Honda back in 2007 and have had all of my service completed by their service department. They have always been very friendly, quick to get me in for the service, and the wo have had all of my service completed by their service department. They have always been very friendly, quick to get me in for the service, and the work that they do is top notch. I have never had a problem or a complaint of any kind in regard to the scheduling or servicing of my vehicle. Believe me, if they didn't do an excellent job, I would have gone somewhere else a long time ago. Great people, great service!!! More
I went to purchase a vehicle and originally was going to finance the car. Later that day I changed my mind and wanted to just pay cash for the car and the finance paperwork had yet to be sent in so I didn' finance the car. Later that day I changed my mind and wanted to just pay cash for the car and the finance paperwork had yet to be sent in so I didn't think that would be a problem, and even if the finance paperwork had been sent in I knew I could just call the finance company and payoff the car. However, when I called Coggin to speak to the finance employee who was handling my purchase, I could not get through to him. I left messages and never received a call back. Finally when I did get through to him he did not want to give me the payoff amount and he told me that on his day off another employee had gathered his paperwork and sent it in to the finance company without him knowing, this paperwork had an interest rate that was 4% higher than we had agreed on, and Mark refused to tell me the finance company information. I needed this information to provide to my car insurance company so they could insure the vehicle and he, knowing that, would not give it to me. He said "well I don't know their information" in one conversation and in another said "they will send you something in the mail." Even though they would be sending me something in the mail, I still needed their information to give to my insurance company. He was very sketchy and was not helpful at all. It was almost as though he was running away from my calls so he could get the kickbacks from the finance companies for financing the vehicle instead of allowing me to pay cash. I am very disappointed and will NEVER be doing business with Coggin Honda of St. Augustine again. More
I and my brother each bought a new Honda from Coggin, and couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. We were drawn to them initially because the price they offered on both cars through the USAA C couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. We were drawn to them initially because the price they offered on both cars through the USAA Car Buying service was notably lower than other dealers, and far lower than our hometown dealer. The service lived up to the great price draw--from the first phone call until the last wave as we drove away, our sales associate, Tom Bomar, and everyone we spoke with at Coggin was uniformly and unwaveringly friendly, relaxed, cheerful, diligent, and helpful. Tom secured a Pilot from the factory--quickly, without complaint, and at no added cost to us--and a CRV from a sister dealer. Even when a CRV switch needed to be made, Tom remained helpful and friendly. When it took longer than anticipated for the Pilot's build and ship, Tom kept track of its progress. When we expressed concerns over any delays or had yet another question, Tom did not dismiss us, chide us, or ignore us. The actual purchase, too, went smoothly, with no sense at all of pressure, anxiety, or the other dreaded conditions that so often come with buying a new car. The CRV came with rails and at my request, the service department added crossbars while Tom handled paperwork, all for less than a dealer normally would charge. And there were no surprises at all in terms of final price--all above board and honest. I take that back--there was one surprise, a good one--both cars totaled at LESS than the Out the Door price we'd been working with--the CRV nearly $1000 less even with the crossbars and rails added! Without the least hesitation we both would recommend Coggin St Augustine to anyone looking for a great experience--and be sure to ask for Tom Bomar! More

I am 65 years old and have bought many cars in my lifetime and he made the buying experience a pleasure. We purchased the exact car we wanted at the price originally quoted to us. No bait and switch and no high pressure. Robert is an attentive, polite professional who listened to our concerns, patiently answered our questions and resolved any issues. He has also invited me to meet him at the dealership to help me learn how to operate the navigation system. That’s called service after the sale. First class.
