Why did I give Mike Davidson Ford and my salesman Chris Mason all perfect ratings? Simple; because I had an absolutely perfect experience when buying my very first brand new car. My salesman went above and beyond and was extremely helpful. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and would not hesitate to go back should I be in the market for another vehicle. More
I recently experienced some damage to my 2012 F150 passenger side mirror. The mirror was hit while driving and the reflective surface, exterior housing and mirror motor. I brought the vehicle to Mike passenger side mirror. The mirror was hit while driving and the reflective surface, exterior housing and mirror motor. I brought the vehicle to Mike Davidson service on 8/12/2013 so that my service advisor A.F. could look over the damage and provide a plan for the repairs. While I was there I also decided to have an oil change, tire rotation and balance. Thankfully all but the repairs were promptly taken care off, I was told the mirror replacements would be ordered and the repairs needed to be scheduled for later in the week. So, I drove away with plans on returning once I heard from service that the replacements arrived. My drive home and around town the next couple of days was less than pleasurable due to the tire rotation and balancing job. Lots of shaking over 45 mph; not a big deal I will just have them re-balanced when I return for the repairs. I never did hear from my service advisor regarding scheduling for repairs so finally Thursday I decided to call, parts were in and we scheduled the repairs for 8/16/2013 @ 8am. I arrived as planned at 8am, explained the tires needed rebalanced and repairs were on their way. After about 2 hours or so my truck was ready, I paid my ticket and walked out to look over my vehicle. Here we go ..... I noticed right away the mirror replacement was incorrect. I had a blind spot addition on the top right corner of the mirror matching the drivers one; the mirror was also covered in fingerprints and dirty. The painted exterior housing of the mirror wasn't sitting flush as well. Looking closer, the rubber coated trim that runs around the base of the passenger window separating the painted surface from the glass had a indentation to it and you could see that it just happened due to the frayed rubber around the dent. I grabbed my service advisor and showed him the issues. He began explaining to me that the mirror was the correct one due to the part number he was given. He thought the indentation was something I did or happened when the mirror was hit. I explained that regardless of what he thought I know what mirror I had on my truck, I have drove the truck off the lot brand new in November of 2012 and have used both of my side mirrors ever since. That blind spot addition has saved me several times, the subpar replacement is a mistake please order me the correct one. As for the dent, my mirrors are motorized and the elevation of the bottom of the mirror and the elevation of the dent were at two different measurements. It just looked like the repair technician leaned against it or used it as leverage while replacing the parts. A.F. then asked me to follow him to the lot and showed me every F150 on the lot and was a bit self-righteous about looking at every truck with me and explaining how not one of them had that particular mirror. I really don't care what's on the lot I expressed, I know what I had on my truck; not tell me its the part number provided look to see if there is an alternate number given for a mirror with a blind spot portion and that's what you need to order for me. He still kept telling me I was incorrect, but he would look into it. The housing that wasn't sitting flush was due to impact he explained and if I wanted that taken care of I probably need to order a complete replacement. Why wasn't that addressed initially??? Is the housing going to fly off one day while I am driving? I guess I just think that all options should be laid out for a customer especially when this is my second purchased vehicle from this dealership and the most expensive one to date. A few extra dollars wouldn't have discouraged me. The service manager looked at the molding and told me he would replace it free of charge, and don't worry I was told we didn't charge you for the balance. Really, it wasn't balanced correctly initially!?! At this point in time I still haven't heard anything from the service department regarding my correct mirror replacement, molding and guess what ..... my tires are still shaking. I am pretty frustrated and extremely unsatisfied. More

I’ll start this off and tell you the salesmen Brent and Christopher M. were wonderful. They were very kind, courteous, and were willing to answer all of our questions. They showed us the vehicles we wanted to look at, and while Christopher was running a little late (we had a scheduled appointment to meet with him) he was thorough in showing my father the nice upgraded technology, since we were upgrading from a 2002 vehicle to a 2013. The prices were all right, but we had planned to trade in, and my father was not willing to trade-in and buy unless he liked the price they were going to offer him for his vehicle. This had already been discussed up front, as well as the mention we’d be shopping around a little, but had had interest in this place first. Christopher went to get his sales manager, Jay, at the time of discussing prices. This man already portrayed a poor attitude just approaching us. When it came to giving us a quote on my father’s truck, Jay’s response was “we’re not going to give you a quote to ‘go shopping around’". Basically if we weren’t going to buy at that moment, they were no longer going to be helpful. At that point, we were ready to leave. We got up, got in our vehicle to drive off, and saw Christopher. We attempted to speak to him to apologize the deal had fallen through thanks to his sales manager’s poor attitude, but was approached by the general sales manager who was walking with Christopher. I don’t remember his name, because honestly it isn’t worth remembering, but walked up to us and began to accuse my father of swearing at his salesman, which never happened and had a very disgusting attitude. Never in my life have I met anyone in a retail environment that would treat their customers in such an appalling way. Not only have they lost my father’s business, but have forever lost mine as well. That’s at least two generations worth of damage there. They will never see a penny from us. We promptly went to Duval Ford on Roosevelt, who had the truck my dad wanted on the lot, gave him the trade-in price he wanted for his 2002 vehicle, and were kind from beginning to end. — at Mike Davidson Ford. My name is Dick Slater and I live in Fort Lauderdale. He stayed in touch with me, sent photos, and at one point we almost made a deal, but someone walked in to your dealership that afternoon, was ready to buy, and got an Explorer that I was about to commit to. Thereafter, Gunny kept an eye out for me and we communicated regular on the phone and by email. He was genuine, honest, and attentive to my needs - a refreshing change from what I was experiencing down here. I just called him today to let him know that I had a family friend call me, who does a lot of commercial business with his Ford dealership in Texas, and he made an arrangement to get me what I wanted at cost. Gunny was appreciative and thanked me for letting him know. I told him I would not hesitate to recommend him and Mike Davidson Ford to anyone looking for a Ford. More
After 19 different dealers in 25 years I found a dealer that treats you like family, and negotiates fairly. I known them for almost 6 years and I just bought my second car from them. The service dept. an that treats you like family, and negotiates fairly. I known them for almost 6 years and I just bought my second car from them. The service dept. and body shop staff are outstanding. I found low levels of attrition in their service, body and sales dept. compared to many other dealers. I build relationships with dealers and shop for dealers when I need a car not for the specific car. More

Do yourself a favor and take your vehicle somewhere else. It will save you time, money, and your sanity if you avoid having it worked on at Mike Davidson Ford. I took my Ford F150 here after my check engin It will save you time, money, and your sanity if you avoid having it worked on at Mike Davidson Ford. I took my Ford F150 here after my check engine light came on and there was an unidentified shake coming from the hood when I started the vehicle up. After a few hours of waiting, they told me they needed to replace the plugs and a coil and that would fix the problem. I asked them how much it was going to cost and they said $950 dollars. I thought that was pretty steep but I needed the vehicle to travel for work in 3 days so I told them to go ahead with the labor. I picked it up the next day and when I got it home (no more than 30 mins after I picked it up) the check engine light came back on and the vehicle was shaking again. It was a Saturday evening and their service department was already closed so I took it back in that next Monday to get it fixed again. I talked to the service representative and told him I was pretty upset that I just dropped $950 dollars on my vehicle and nothing had changed and he told me they would take another look at it. A few hours later he called me and said they were going to have to pull the engine apart and fix the number 4 cylinder ($2800 conservative estimate) . I asked him why I just put $950 dollars into it if that wasn't going to fix the initial problem and he said "We were HOPING this would fix the problem". I asked what the check engine light code they initially read was saying and he said it indicated an Engine Malfunction associated with the #4 cylinder. I asked him if it was the same indication that I originally brought the vehicle in with and he said yes. I was HOPING not to drop $950 dollars on my truck that didn't do anything but you can see where that got me. I immediately took my vehicle and left not willing to give Mike Davidson Ford another dime of my money. When I got back into town this week I took my vehicle to a local mechanic near my house and showed them the work Mike Davidson Ford had done and asked for a second opinion. The local mechanic told me that none of the initial labor was required or necessary and that I was way over charged for what had been completed. He did tell me that I needed to have the #4 cylinder replaced and that the dealership should have diagnosed that on the first visit. This was the icing on the cake. Do yourself a favor, the next time you need a maintenance done on your vehicle go anywhere but Mike Davidson Ford. If your like me, you work too hard for your money to just throw it away on HOPING they are telling you the truth or know what they are doing. More
