My first Car On the 23rd day of June in the year of our Lord 2014 ...; I was at work, and it was my first day on the job, whilst I was af On the 23rd day of June in the year of our Lord 2014 ...; I was at work, and it was my first day on the job, whilst I was affectionately and devotedly cleaning the grill, I got a call on the work phone - the reason for which was thus: A man named George Williams from Coggin Deland Honda called me to say: "Hey Josh, this is George ... congrats buddy, we just got you a car." I stood in place for a few moments mouthing a gape, and afterward replied: "no way!" He said: "Yes sir, no lie ...; after you get off work, I'll just need ya to journey to the dealership and fill out some paperwork. I said: "sure; no problem, and thank you!" Following that; I finished my shift, and was picked up from work via my family - after which, I was taken to the aforesaid dealership. Subsequently; I entered the dealership, and George Williams & Ozzie both shook my hands and congratulated me on the car. They had me fill out all the paperwork, and then showed me the car. It was beautiful; I thought I was going to cry .... succeeding that, George showed me the Engine, explained all the cars safety and security features, and described in detail the dashboard and steering wheels. In brief; he left no stone unturned, and was beyond friendly and kindly. I recommend Coggin Deland Honda to anyone looking to buy a car, and as for George Williams and Ozzie, they deserve gold medals. God bless them both, and God bless Honda. More

New Family Found After living 40 years in New Mexico, I recently moved to Florida to be with my children. It was very difficult for me to leave behind the relationships I had developed over 40 years. It was very hard for me to leave the staff at Perfection Honda. They were my extended family, always happy to see me and took care of me as if I was a family member. My fear was I would never be able to find that in my new home state of Florida. Well, the time came for me to buy a new vehicle. My son spoke very highly of Barry Stadtler and took me to meet him. I found Barry to be very professional, not pushey and I really felt he had my best interest at heart. Once I made the purchase, Barry took me around to meet all the folks I would be working with. Everyone was so friendly and genuine. The bottom line is I not only purchased a wonderful car but I now feel very much a part of the Coggin Deland family. I look forward to many years with all of you. Thank you, Barry for helping to find a new car family! More

Outstanding Service from George Williams In the business world, it is often difficult for a sales consultant to balance the needs of their employer with the needs of the customer. George Wil In the business world, it is often difficult for a sales consultant to balance the needs of their employer with the needs of the customer. George Williams III was able to accomplish this feat while overcoming some unexpected obstacles. George handled these obstacles for us with the highest degree of professional courtesy and integrity. My initial contact with George was via e-mail concerning a used car I had seen advertised on the internet. After communicating with him for several days, my wife and I decided to make the 90 minute drive from our home in Jacksonville, FL to meet with George about the car. It did not take us long to decide that this was the vehicle we wanted. In the meantime, however, unexpected developments made it look like we would not be able to make the purchase. I must emphasize that none of these developments were financially related to this vehicle and none were George’s fault. But George is the one who, with some help from the General Manager (Mr. Doug Sisler), resolved the issues so that we could make the purchase. George went far and above what is normally expected for a sales consultant, especially one at a car dealership. Never has a sales consultant of any kind gone out of their way to help us in the way George interceded for us. This dealership should be very proud of George and the way he treated us. Although we do not purchase vehicles often, we hope to remain in contact with him. When we do need another one or when a friend or family member is looking for a vehicle, I will tell them that George is the first person they should contact. The Finance Manager (Mr. Ozzie Torres) ,was also very courteous and professional. In the process of going over the computer generated contract, he noticed a charge that should not have been on our contract because our vehicle was used. He could have let it ride and we would have never known about the charge. Instead, he removed the charge. His attention to detail saved us some money. We thanked him for his honesty. More
Exceeded My Expectations! I had been thinking about trading my Element in for a CR-V for a few months. Buying a new car is not something I am comfortable doing. I really loved the Element, but it was stick shift and my knees are due for repair... I was nervous about getting a good deal or not. Barry Stadtler knows everything about Honda's, he answered all of my questions. He is easy going, no pressure, patient and he listened to all my concerns. I felt that I was in competent hands. Barry made the experience positive one. He led me through all the computerized features of the new CR-V, which took awhile! I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant car buying experience. I have been taking my Element to Coggin DeLand Honda for maintenance since 2006 and have always been pleased with the service. I will continue to bring the CR-V there and will be sure to stop in and say HI to Barry when I do. We discovered that he sold me my Element too! More
Great Experience! I just purchased a 2013 Honda Fit and I love it! I worked with Barry Stadtler as my sales person, he was just wonderful! He took so much time with me explaining everything about the car and the dealership, gave me a tour of the service department (which I have never received from anywhere else at other times when I have purchased a car). He was very kind and knowledgeable! It was a great experience. I am recommending him to a friend of mine who may be in the market to buy a new car soon. Buying Experience Turned Sour but was fixed later Although I presented an AAA "guaranteed" MSRP discount printout, the salesman ignored it and wrote up the sale for nearly $4000 more than it should ha Although I presented an AAA "guaranteed" MSRP discount printout, the salesman ignored it and wrote up the sale for nearly $4000 more than it should have been. Then, I was made to wait all day without explanation, each time being told that "it will only be 5 more minutes before the sale would be concluded." Supposedly, they were getting my car from elsewhere so they could deliver it to me the same day, but no one told me this. For some reason, it was very important to them to conclude this in a hurry but they never told me why. In fact, I was later told that they did not even have a driver available to get the car. Nevertheless, I was kept sitting there with no explanation. I felt like a prisoner since I was not even allowed to return to and use my own trade-in car. The lack of communication was reprehensible and the entire new car buying experience was ruined for me. This is the worst auto buying experience I have ever had. They gave me a loaner and delivered my car the following day. Gus, the manager, later told me that this was not the kind of experience he wanted his customers to have but, obviously, there was a very serious breakdown in communications. He asked me how he "could make it up to me" and I replied that it was for him to decide what he should do to make things right. We shall see. I have subsequently heard again from Gus and other people at the dealership who expressed great concern over what had happened and who resolved all the remaining concerns I had. While the initial experience affected my rating of the dealership, if I were to write a new rating based on the more recent contacts, I would give them good marks. More

I knew to contact Barry because he is honest, polite, and takes the car buying process slowly and doesn't overwhelm the buyer. He helped me review all paperwork and car buying details and because of that I will not hesitate to purchase a third vehicle from Barry. More
