I met Lee last November 2010 when my car was in for service. We discussed the new 2011 Santa Fe and I told him I would probably purchase a new car in late 2011. The new car bug was too great and I decided to trade in my 2004 Santa Fe for a new 2011 Santa Fe. Lee made this a very pleasant experience and I now have my nice, new Santa Fe! I tell everyone to go to Deland and see Lee. He is very respectful and listens to what you need. Casey was pleasant to work with as well -- and we've talked a few times when she called to make sure I was enjoying my new car. I am indeed! Go to Deland. It's worth the drive. More

We have lived in the Daytona Beach Area for 33 years and have always been a two car family. During that time we purchased 15 new vehicles. We always left the dealership with migraine headaches from all the "negotiating", double and triple teaming and high pressure tactics. After doing a lot of research on all manufacturers and numerous 2011 models, we decided to purchase a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited, Turbo. (Our first Hyundai) After having a very unfriendly experience with an employee in the service department of the Hyundai Dealership in Daytona Beach, when we took our daughter's vehicle in for repair work, we decided to drive across Volusia County to David Maus Hyundai in DeLand. We have never entered a dealership in Florida and been treated like "family", until now. Lee Richardson made us feel like we had been lifelong friends. Lee was by far the best car salesperson we have ever dealt with in Florida. He was very mild mannered, extremely patient and answered our numerous questions. He explained all the features on the Sonata, sometimes more than once, as we are somewhat technology challenged. Negotiations regarding our trade-in and purchase price were simple and straightforward. There was absolutely no high pressure during this process. Since it was now later than the dealership's normal closing hours, we decided to wait until the next afternoon to take delivery of our new Sonata. Lee came to work on his day off to help us with the delivery and set up the Blue-tooth for our cell phones. Even though it was Lee's day off, he was very patient, answered additional questions and made us feel comfortable in the operation of the Sonata before we left the dealership. Lee certainly lived up to the David Maus motto of "Whatever it takes". Lee has called us twice in the first ten days, since we took delivery of the car, to see if we had any more questions or concerns. Lee is an outstanding representative of David Maus Hyundai. If we had any lingering concerns about dealing with car salesmen, they were completely erased thanks to Lee Richardson. He made our buying experience a very happy occasion, not the nightmares we endured buying from other dealerships in The Greater Daytona Beach/New Smyrna Beach Area during the last 33 years. We will definitely buy from David Maus and Lee again. We have already recommended Lee to two of our friends who are considering purchasing new vehicles. Keep up the outstanding work Lee!! I paid for a service called "zaktek" where they are supposed to detail the vehicle every six months. I have been twice so far and it has been pathetic both times. I called to try and have David Maus represent himself properly to no avial. I wouldn't recommend purchasing a vehicle from him or his dealerships. If you are interested in any vehicles he sales, I would strongly recommend visiting another dealership. More
The new car purchasing experience was second to none that I have ever experienced. Jake spent all the time needed to be sure I was purchasing the right car for me and that it would suite my needs. There was never any pressure from Jake or any of the staff. When I took delivery of my new car again Jake took all the time needed to be sure I was comfortable with the proper use of all the accessories. Only one other time in my wife and my car buying experience have we recieved the fair and friendly service that we recieved from Lee. The only other time was with car buying through our credit union experience have we recieved the fair and friendly service that we recieved from Lee. The only other time was with car buying through our credit union, with the help of an agent who took our spefications and went and found a few vechicles for us to test drive at the credit union. This experience was a close second. We have owned 6 or 7 vehicles between us and never have we had a salesperson acted so professionally, they also acted without attitude when dealing with my wife's special requests, which can seem picky and petty, but is important to her to help her make her decissions. I would recommend anyone to speak to Lee, if they would like a friendly and fair salesperson in the car industry. More

I bought a 2011 Sonata a year ago from DMHY, but at the time the Turbo model was not available. Jason and Lee were very friendly and professional and worked within my budget to get me a great deal! The 2 years FREE maintenance was a great touch. Angela took her time with me on all the paperwork and was even able to get me a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty in my payment range! I had a wonderful experience from the minute I was greeted by your salesman. He was polite, helpful and did not overpush. He then got all the information on the cars safety, gas mileage, etc. He explained about the corporate warranty and then about your dealership going beyond that. I bought my car and would definitely send others. The experience was great. The others who helped also were courteous and explained every aspect of the transaction including Casey at the desk with the information pamphlets and Gary when it came to the financial end. In years past when purchasing a car I felt that people overstepped their boundaries and made me feel uncomfortable. Pushed me until I just walked away, but this experience has changed my opinion of car dealerships and the salesmen you employ. More
