The buying process was fine until it was time to address the financing. They kept us there 3 hours showing us the car and signing preliminary paperwork. We were told that the finance guy was working to get us the best rate possible. When we went into his small room with camera positioned strategically in the corner so his superiors could watch the negotiation, we were told that the best he could do was 3 points higher than what it should be. He said that because of the few dings on our credit, that that was the only bank that would approve us. Lies. We said ok then we will leave. Miraculously (within seconds) another bank answered with a rate 2 points lower! He was just clicking on the computer pretending to check rates. We left feeling betrayed , and lied to. Overall not a good experience. More
Well, I was just shopping for a car, not in particular. I kind of liked the Elantra, so the sales person started paper work for me. While I was finishing paper work, he took MY keys to look at my car and dri kind of liked the Elantra, so the sales person started paper work for me. While I was finishing paper work, he took MY keys to look at my car and drive it. Came back inside and said he would only give me 4,000 dollars for my 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer which is in GREAT condition. When I asked him to go up on my car offer he did not want to budge much. Well, I found out why when I went back out to my car to leave. Somehow he or they cracked my windshield!!! I have a huge crack across my windshield now. When I went back inside to say something, because it was not there before, they of course denied it, but somehow knew exactly what I was talking about! They said that was the reason why they would not offer me much on my car. (Which if that was the reason, why didnt they say when I asked them to go up) I had to call the police to get a police report. When the Officer made the report he told me that he is not surprised, because it has happend before!!!!! The officer told me to go inside and ask for the General Manager and his number. When I went back inside I spoke to the "General Manager" Warren. He was very rude. I asked who was above him, he said I dont need to know anyone above him and he is the owner. I later looked online and found the President and Vice President's name and number for the company. Who I will be calling tomorrow. They were very rude, just said they did not do it and pretty much shrugged it off. I recommend that if ANYONE goes car shopping ANYWHERE go with the sales person when they take your keys!!! Lesson learned. More
We have owned our Elentra for over 1 year and have been especially happy until this week when we found we bought a brand new car THAT DID NOT INCLUDE A SPARE TIRE OR 'DONUT' TIRE OR JACK. It felt like the day I learned when you buy a toilet the toilet seat is NOT included. Imagine spending thousands of dollars on a car and it not including a spare tire. Imagine Hyundai boasting about its product being safe, having all the safety features but not including a spare tire or jack. That is what I get for 'assuming' anything!! Never would I have imagined I left that sales lot lacking anything but I did. I have driven to NY state from Florida twice without a spare tire, leaving me feeling stupid and insecure. More
In purchasing a car for my adult son, my time and a price limit were important. I worked through the internet and Diane responded quickly and worked out a great deal even with a trade in. She had everything ready when we arrived and it took an hour to complete all paperwork. Everyone was friendly and competent. Then she spent time training my son on his new SUV and he LOVES IT! The whole experience was terrific. Great job! More
My husband and I had been searching for a new car for quite a while. Sometimes the search wasn't very pleasant. We met some rather shady and some very pushy sales people. Finally, we narrowed the field to the Hyundai Accent and wanted the GLS with the premium package (cruise control among other things)and an automatic transmission. Dealership after dealership and the story was always the same - nothing like that available, BUT we just happen to have this....or that....available! We kept searching. After an internet search(one of many)one day recently, I came across Deland Hyundai and sent a request about the car we were seeking. Diane Greenlaw responded immediately. She not only had the car - she had my favorite color, and it was fresh off the truck - no miles! We asked a million questions, exchanged several emails with her, and she handled it all with grace and ease. She gave us a fair price, was honest in her answers, hid nothing inside the transaction, gave us a fair trade-in price, and worked extremely hard to make it easier for us. Finally, the day arrived for purchase, and we drove in a thundering rainstorm to Deland from Orlando to seal the deal. Diane greeted us like we were family. She was warm and welcoming, and very soon we were on the road for a test drive. She was pleased it was raining so we could see how well the Accent responds to bad weather. She was so right! We were given the info we needed and our manuals and quick reference material by a very nice customer service gal in the lobby. She was helpful and friendly and answered all our questions, gave us lovely T-shirts and took us to pose next to our new car for pictures for the Deland Hyundai Facebook Page! Then Diane took us to meet Kevin Davis, the Business Manager, while she got our new car ready for the road and with a full tank of gas! We signed the necessary paperwork, and he answered our questions about our new, extended warranty. We prepared to leave for home, but Diane wasn't finished with us quite yet. She took the time at the end of a very long day for her to help us sink both our cell phones to the bluetooth connection in the Accent. One the way home, we called our daugther in Minnesota to share our good news. She sounded as though she was sitting in the Accent with us! Wow...as Diane so aptly said, "Ain't this technology grand!" (Wink!) So, would I go back or would I refer someone to this dealership. The answer is a resounding yes! We haven't had to go in for service yet, but I am confident that we will be pleased there too. And, we can always go in for a carwash whenever we're "in the neighborhood!" Nice... More

I bought my car new here when it was the David Mause group . Its now even better . I had a battery problem , spoke to Steve in service and told him my daughter uses it for school . He told me to bring i group . Its now even better . I had a battery problem , spoke to Steve in service and told him my daughter uses it for school . He told me to bring it right in . Now I live about a half hour away,but its worth making the trip . I would not buy a car from the local dealers , all of them clowns ! No bump sticker - no b.s. - just straight dealing . Do yourself a favor and see this dealer last. That way you will see how great they are . More
As we drove up at the dealership, we were greeted by a pleasant, friendly salesperson, Diane "Princess Di" Greenlaw. Within minutes,we were impressed by her knowledge of the Hyundai automobiles. Without pressure, she focused on our needs and preferences. Before our test drive of a Genesis, she explained in detail the various instruments and controls, making sure we were comfortable with driving it. She proudly discussed the services of the dealership, giving us a tour of each department, introducing us to employees, especially the service department. With an impressive trade-in, we purchased a 2012 Genesis. DeLand Hyundai did not have the color Genesis we preferred. The Platinum Metalic color we preferred was found in Lakeland, Florida. It was brought to Deland within hours, and ready for us the next day. The only problem we have experienced was programming the HomeLink Wireless Control, which was due to the loss of our hand-held unit. Diane went the second mile and came to our home, patiently working by phone with HomeLink to make it work successfully. Diane Greenlaw rates a 5+! More
George was very upfront about price and manages their internet department. Total time to test drive and purchase the car was approximately 3 hours, which is relatively average from my experience with tw internet department. Everyone was very friendly and the owner even brought us popcorn during the purchase as we had not eaten dinner and it was late. New ownership took over a year ago and has this place in the right direction. More
