Was VERY clear on my budget and what there was or wasn't there to work with. He goes back into 'mystery' land, come back and adds $2000.00 to a down payment and ups my monthly payment almost $200.00 per month, and absolutely no idea what my credit is,what my score is or the interest on his quote is!!!! I was very clear. I was happy to walk away, we had been sitting outside then Anthony called us back into the fish bowl and was humiliated. Anthony discreetly telling me he couldn't work those numbers SHOULD have been what happened. But he then tries to give me some crap about what I really can afford or not and 'having pizza'. I said the budget is what it is, I can't do more and got up to walk out. Mike catches me walking out the door and has the nerve to ask me if I had done any research! Yes, Yes ... I did and I called to check in and I told Anthony more than once and now I have him being condescending? Really? These type encounters are what make having to look for a new vehicle so stressful. I HATE THE FALSE ADVERTISING and the bickering that apparently has to happen to get a car if you are on a budget. I can't and won't do it. There has to be a better way .... More
I worked with Travis via email explaining what I was looking for and how much I was willing to pay. Travis worked with me on every aspect and eventually handed the ball to Mike. Both men were courteou looking for and how much I was willing to pay. Travis worked with me on every aspect and eventually handed the ball to Mike. Both men were courteous, friendly and explained every action in detail. There were no pitfalls, traps, loopholes, bait and switches or anything else underhanded, sneaky or shady in dealing with these gentlemen and this dealer. I can't say enough about what a positive and relaxing experience it was. My car had to be delivered and they gave me a "loaner" car in the interim, something they definitely didn't have to do. The loaner car also gave me the opportunity to remind myself why I purchased the 2011 Sonata as opposed to the 2010. Great experience and I would definitely recommend this dealership. Compare their reputation with any of the clowns in Orlando and you'll realize it's worth the drive to the coast. More
I went to Cocao Hyundai to get sevice done on an old vehicle ( not a Hyundai ). After realizing it was time for a new vehicle, I asked to speak with their sale's people. I was encouraged to drive every vehicle ( not a Hyundai ). After realizing it was time for a new vehicle, I asked to speak with their sale's people. I was encouraged to drive every and any vehicle on the lot before making a decision. After many test drives - I was finally introduced to a sale's person. Romann was happy to answer any questions I had, and he did it very professionaly and without sounding like a sale's person. I never felt like I was pressured into buying, more like being encouraged that all desicion's I was making was for the better.. I was blown away from the initial paperwork which wasn't much, to the final handshake.I have never experienced customer service at a high level like this, and I never felt so comfortable making a automotive purchase. I would recommend Cocoa Hyundai to everybody. And if you aren't a Hyundai fan, all I can say is test drive one car or five, I did.... More
It was a pleasure working with Travis on the Internet, his courtesy and resoucefulness was sincerely appreciated. He is respectful and cooperative at all times. Mike DeLeo was a pleasure to work with on his courtesy and resoucefulness was sincerely appreciated. He is respectful and cooperative at all times. Mike DeLeo was a pleasure to work with once we had taken a ride in the vehicle of our choice and decided to seek a deal. He was courteous, respectful a knowledgeable resource and fair to deal with. We had a difference of opinion regarding a quote we received from the internet. Both sides (them) and (us) resolved it amiably (a little give and take). Overall a good experience. Happy to have made the acquaintence of both gentlemen and wish them both well in their respective careers. More
Don Berry was an extremely helpful salesman and Don Polanzi was tremendously helpful in the Service Department! Don B. was patient and courtious throughout the entire buying experience. Don Polanzi Polanzi was tremendously helpful in the Service Department! Don B. was patient and courtious throughout the entire buying experience. Don Polanzi explained the wait I would have while the got a second key fob ready for me. The waiting room at the Maintenance Department was clean, well-airconditioned, and cleaned. Extremely generous trade-in price considering the condition of the car we brought with us. Thanks to the entire Staff, but especially the 2 Dons! More
I showed up at Cocoa Hyundai with the intention of test-driving a vehicle, planning to return later to buy if I found anything worthwhile. I told Romann that I was looking for a small car with decent test-driving a vehicle, planning to return later to buy if I found anything worthwhile. I told Romann that I was looking for a small car with decent gas mileage, good visibility, automatic transmission, and manual windows / locks. Romann immediately located the specific car that I wanted. I was quite happy with the car, and the dealership was kind enough to allow me to drive it home instead of waiting until later on in the week to purchase it, as I had originally intended. That might be a good sales tactic, but in my case it was a much appreciated convenience. Everyone I've interacted with from the Cocoa dealership so far has been very helpful and pleasant. Romann did some research on where to find all-weather floor mats and a cargo mat, and he also made a trip out of town just to pick up my trade-in vehicle. Although the dealership was quite busy most of the time I was there, Brian was polite enough to spend a few extra minutes explaining some of the paperwork as I signed it. As for the price, Romann worked out some numbers that compared quite favorably to the sticker in the car window; the amount I now owe for my new car after taxes trade-in and miscellaneous fees is within 5.6% of the Edmunds.com "true market value," and within 4% of the Cars.com "smart target price." (Those calculations do not include what was a potential reduction in price offered in conjunction with Hyundai financing.) My car shopping experience was a positive one, and thus far I am very satisfied with the car itself as well. More
I had absolutely the best car-buying experience of my life here at Cocoa Hyundai. Justin bent over backward for me and got me the deal I was looking for. He even called me 2 days after I had signed the life here at Cocoa Hyundai. Justin bent over backward for me and got me the deal I was looking for. He even called me 2 days after I had signed the original papers and told me that I needed to come back in and re-sign because my payments were going DOWN another $20 a month! What an experience! I will recommend Justin to EVERYBODY I know!! I was even able to come back in a few days later to have the car detailed again inside and out and have Resistall applied to the paint and also the interior. It was well worth the trip. You'd never know this car was a year old! Yes, my "new" 2009 PT Cruiser is just AWESOME! This is the best car I've ever owned! I will definitely go back to Justin when I am in the market for another car. Thanks, Justin, for a wonderful experience! Trish Stevenson More
Simply the best car buying experience...I have ever had. They provided me a very reasonable "no-haggle" price before I even stepped into the dealership. I had never visited or dealt with Cocoa Hyundai. I solicited online quotes from eight Central Florida Hyundai dealerships indicating that I was prepared to make an immediate purchase. Four gave vague solicited online quotes from eight Central Florida Hyundai dealerships indicating that I was prepared to make an immediate purchase. Four gave vague responses. Four provided specific numbers, one of which was loaded with come-ons. Cocoa Hyundai and one other were factual with similar bottom lines. I spoke with Travis Freeman, Internet Manager, by phone. He sounded straight forward, organized, knowledgeable, articulate, respectful, and eager to do business at a price that was fair to the buyer while still allowing the dealership to make a profit. We arranged to meet that very day. After arriving at the dealership, where I recognized Travis from his Internet photo standing outside, I was handed the keys to a brand new Genesis Coupe and invited to test drive it with my adult son without anyone from the dealership accompanying us. I then worked principally with Justin A. Snyder, Sales Manager, to transact the sale and Dan Newton, Business Manager/Finance, to process the financing and documentation. Bill Wolf, General Manager, spoke with my son while I was transacting business and then with both of us after I was done. There was no haggling whatsoever over numbers - everything was as we had discussed, ready and waiting, and they beat the others' (and Edmunds') lowest price. Everyone at Cocoa Hyundai was well prepared, open, friendly, to-the-point, and very knowledgeable of their product, the market, and the car buying process. Even with time taken for tangential conversations (computers, photography, aviation) and our test drive, I still drove away from the dealership in my new car less than two and a half hours after driving in. In my original online quote solicitation, I had stated that I was prepared to make an immediate purchase. Total time from first online contact with Cocoa Hyundai to drive-away: Less than eight hours. I bought my first car more than forty years ago and have purchased many since. This was by far the most pleasant car buying experience of my life. More
Emailed Brian the exact car I was looking for--he told me to come in for a test drive. Not only did they not have the car I wanted/asked for, they didn't even have a car with the same transmission I was loo to come in for a test drive. Not only did they not have the car I wanted/asked for, they didn't even have a car with the same transmission I was looking for. He totally wasted my time. Plus, they had me in the showroom haggling with them for over two hours, knowing I wouldn't just buy whatever they had on the lot and that I knew exactly what I wanted. They pulled the typical shady salesman garbage--they played "good cop-bad cop", had to go "check in the back with the finance guy", they lied and said they couldn't find the car I wanted (one idiot later let it slip that it was in Virginia), they wrote their "great deals" down on a piece of paper and slid it under my nose, they wanted my financial info. before we were even close to coming to a deal, and, then, left me sitting in the showroom for about 20 minutes (it probably would have been longer if I hadn't just walked out) while "good cop" went to guy find "bad cop" who was stupidly wandering around the car lot "looking" for me (despite the fact that I'd never left the showroom). I guess they thought they'd let me think about the "great deal" I was about to pass up. Ha! I did my homework--it was NOT a great deal by any stretch of the imagination. My family has bought cars from Brian before. We are--WERE loyal Hyundai owners. You'd think the dealership wouldn't treat people who've bought 4 cars in 7 years (and sent other family members to buy cars there) so poorly. The people I dealt with were rude, treated me as if I were stupid, decietful (and not even clever enough to cover their lies), and played games. They obviously don't need to sell any cars because they did a poor job of "haggling", so don't bother doing business with Cocoa Hyundai. Better yet, stay away from Hyundai all together. As some one who has had Hyundais and has dealt with Cocoa Hyundai in the past, I have a few comments: 1) Hyundai has paint issues. I had to have my entire 2003 Tiburon repainted only a couple years (yes, paint is only covered for 3yrs or 36,000 miles) after purchasing even though it was house in an enclosed garage because the clear coat was going bad--I took it back to the service dept. and whoever they had repaint it obviously did it in a sandstore. The car was covered in grit [HUNDREDS of bits of who-knows-what]. I can't believe they returned it to me in that condition and then fought me when I said it needed to be re-repainted. We also had a 2004 Santa Fe had similar paint issues and our older Hyundai also had crappy paint. Our Chevy and Dodge, however, have great paint. All are/were housed in garages. 2) Hyundais also have automatic window issues. I've had mine break twice in 6 years--it doesn't sound that bad until you have to pay to fix it. $$$ 3) Cocoa Hyundai's showroom has NO privacy. You are sitting at a round "party" table in the middle of a tiny showroom/haggling area giving out your info. for anyone to hear. Stupid setup. 4) This dealership is shoe-horned onto one of the busiest corners in Cocoa. They don't really have any parking for customers and the cars for sale are packed on the lot like sardines. My idiot salesman told me that about 30% of the cars on the lot have damage and have to be fixed before selling. That was after I caught a paint drip on a red Genesis. My new car should be pristine--not patched up (shodily, like all things Cocoa Hyundai). 5) Cocoa Hyundai is always having some ridiculous giveaway to draw people in--lots of ballons and inflatable gorillas. That should be your first clue that your experience will be like the circus. More
