Went to look at cars, met Lance an Nick both were helpful. Did test drive, liked car but had some concerns about brakes. We quickly settled on price and they agreed to do any brake repair needed so I left deposit and trusted everything would be taken care of. Got call car was ready and was pleased that brakes were done,car was clean and couldn’t ask for more. So I found it to be a good experience I got the car I wanted at a good price. Overall I would have to say Lance was the best salesman you could ask for. More

BUYER BEWARE...Coastal's NOT FAIR! Was told when I called on a pre owned that I would be given a different price over the phone when I called.Said they would adjust amount on the sale Was told when I called on a pre owned that I would be given a different price over the phone when I called.Said they would adjust amount on the sale price so that my doc fees would not be paid...This was the agreement per management.The car was also at a different dealership,(advertised at Norwell location) when I got there they had not detailed it yet,(tell me this)but it had been on the lot already f or 2 months? At least vacuum it so little gold fish don't fall out when i look in the back seat! I drove the car ,loved it and went in to do paper work.I was told that "Katie' in BDC at Norwell location had no right to offer a different price and they DON'T WAIVE PNS/DOC FEES.Well, I thought about it and as mad as I was,decided 400 was not going to keep me from buying this car.I called my dad who was helping to make purchase,and he was skeptical.He said 'I don't trust them.They will screw you again'...I signed anyway... Well...The car STILL was not cleaned when I was to take delivery and had to reschedule! I was also informed it was my salesperson's day off..Well,if the car had been ready the first time (it was STILL at the other dealership and they said they didn't have my number to call me...But they didn't tell me til AFTER the paperwork was done! When I went back to get the car,they had removed the nice expensive mats It has while I drove it,and told me to go buy cheap ones in Walmart.I was told up front they were not making money on the car anyway,so I am sure this is why I got crap for service.Eventually after calling and getting different management on the phone,they offered me the mats.and said I would have in 2 weeks.I had to pick them up...I had also left a message for the owner.The management said that he would not want to speak with me.He knew about this already.REALLY? I doubt that.Coastal is the reason the car business has a bad name...I must admit this was awhile ago-almost 2 years..I continue to tell my family and friends to avoid this place at all c osts...Oh,and I called Coastal and spoke with Laura the office manager at Volkswagen store.I had e-mailed the owner and sent an email to her as well.She told me that she told the owner.He wanted to look into it further.No response to this day.... Lance Ward, the salesperson, is a straight shooter who wants to sell you the car you want, not just any car. He does not want to close a deal for sake of closing a deal. He knows cars and he know how to sell (in a good way). He cares about his reputation. He followed up a number of times to make sure I was pleased with my car and always said if there was anything wrong to come right back and they would take care of it. Simply put, Lance is a good guy. I then went overt to their other location in Hanover to do the paperwork and they were fast and efficient and did not try to sell me a hundred different service plans. Next time I buy a car the first person I'm calling is Lance. More
