Ford F150 Triton Two Piece Sparkplug Replacement I have a 2008 F150 Crew Cab with 160,000 miles and the 5.4 liter Triton engine with the two piece spark plugs. I ran Techron and Marval Oil in the ga I have a 2008 F150 Crew Cab with 160,000 miles and the 5.4 liter Triton engine with the two piece spark plugs. I ran Techron and Marval Oil in the gas for a couple tankfuls and went to replace the plugs and coil over plugs (COPs). The first came out without breaking but the second broke off in the head. I sucessfully removed it from the head with the Lisle tool. But I am on vacation and should be spending time with my daughter instead of changing spark plugs. So I called Marshamize Ford in Chattanooga who sold me the truck and they wanted $495 plus $100 for every plug they broke off and said I would have to leave the truck with them a couple days. Larry Hill quoted $258 plus tax for replacing the remaining six plugs with my Champion one piece plugs (never have to worry about breaking them off in the head ever again) and Accel COPs. Larry Hill Ford took me in at 1:00 pm and returned the truck to me at 4:30 pm the same day no ands, ups, or extras! They removed the six remaining plugs without breaking them and left the plugs and original Ford COPs in my trruck. The Champions were gapped to 0.045" and the engine runs perfectly. I greatly appreciate the professional mechanics at Larry Hill who know how to handle this Ford design defect and did not run up a bill I do not need as I just finished putting my daughter through college and now she will hoprfully be going on to medical school. Larry Hill has all my repair work from now on and all future truck purchases. So if you have a 2003 through 2009 F150 Triton with the two piece plugs go to the Champion one piece plugs and have Larry Hill Ford install them for you. Larry Hill Ford also performed a multipoint inspection on the truck and reported no other work was needed which was expected because I just replaced the brakes, shocks, and topped all the fluids. They were honest and did what they said they would for the price they quoted. I like these guys. More

We decided to call the Service Department and tell them what we suspected had happened. You couldn't believe how concerned and supported about our issue over this little ink spot. That's what matters! They cared. They offered to pay for professional service, not even sure that it happened there. We really appreciate that level of professionalism. Don't know where Mr Hill found this quality of employees, because now days you don't see them very often. And we will certainly continue with this dealership after today and many more years to follow. More
