I was satisfied with the service I received. when I was able to get to the service department. The issue was getting to the service department because the gates were still locked at 7:30 AM. when I was able to get to the service department. My experience at Clay Cooley was one of the most dishonest dealership experiences I’ve ever had. I negotiated a 2024 Ford Edge with the salesperson, Ernie. We discussed pricing multiple times, an dishonest dealership experiences I’ve ever had. I negotiated a 2024 Ford Edge with the salesperson, Ernie. We discussed pricing multiple times, and I clearly stated that any number had to be OTD (out-the-door). I reconfirmed this in writing via text before going in to finalize the deal. When it was time to close, Ernie suddenly stated the price was “OTD plus taxes and fees.” That directly contradicted what had been discussed and confirmed in writing. When I stood up to leave, he called me a liar to my face, claiming we never agreed on that number — even though I had the text messages proving otherwise. Only after I walked out to my car did someone from finance come outside to apologize and say it was a “misunderstanding.” Ernie later returned and claimed he had “not read the message carefully.” That explanation was not credible. Despite that, I proceeded with the deal. In finance, I worked with Humberto. He repeatedly pushed EasyCare and several other add-ons. I clearly declined all extras multiple times and made it very clear I did not want anything additional. When it came time to sign digitally, I began reviewing the contract carefully. Humberto repeatedly pressured me to click “sign all” immediately, saying it was faster and that everything matched what we agreed on. Under pressure and trusting that the contract reflected our agreement, I signed. Later at home, I discovered EasyCare had been added anyway. That was not a misunderstanding — it was intentional. When I attempted to cancel the EasyCare contract, Humberto falsely told me I had to return to the dealership in person to cancel it. That was untrue. After researching the policy myself, I confirmed cancellation can be handled remotely. EasyCare later confirmed the contract was voided and that the dealer is responsible for returning the credit to my lender. Since then, my emails have gone unanswered. Additionally, I explicitly requested that my credit be pulled only once. They ran my credit three times. There was also the inspection issue. The vehicle was delivered to me without a completed inspection. A week later, I was told I needed to drive back — one hour each way — so they could perform inspection in order to complete registration. That should have been handled before delivery. It is not the customer’s responsibility to fix dealership oversights. I have purchased many vehicles in my life. I understand how OTD pricing works. I understand finance contracts. The issue here is not confusion or language. It is a consistent pattern of pressure tactics, denial of agreed terms, and misinformation. Transparency, accountability, and respect for the customer were clearly not priorities here. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business with this dealership to review every document carefully and not rely on verbal assurances. More
I went in for regular maintenance and ended up needed a more major repair. I was on a tight time frame and they were able to ensure I was out with time to spare. I had a minor issue with what service was c more major repair. I was on a tight time frame and they were able to ensure I was out with time to spare. I had a minor issue with what service was completed but a quick phone call and the issue was made more than right. Dealing with car issues is hard but these folks definitely made what could have been a very upsetting day be as smooth as possible. They ensured I was comfortable and completely happy. I 100% will be taking my vehicle here for all future service needs. Having a jeep isnt cheap but having people that are knowledgeable, experienced, and customer service focused to help me keep her on the road is one less worry! Thank you to everyone that helped me today. Especially the manager, the tech that did the job, and Jose. More
