Classic Toyota was hands down the very best car buying experience I have ever experienced! Every individual I came in contact with was courteous and knowledgeable. Doug Franklin was my internet salesperso experience I have ever experienced! Every individual I came in contact with was courteous and knowledgeable. Doug Franklin was my internet salesperson & went way above and beyond to ensure I got the exact car I was looking for. Even after I drove the car off the lot, he still took the time to answer questions and ensure that I was happy with my purchase. I strongly encourage anyone on the market for a vehicle to visit Classic Toyota in Tyler, Texas! More
I contacted Classic through the Internet inquiring about a 2022 Toyota Sienna and was quickly put in contact with Nate Seelbach. Nate updated me often on the arrivals of new Siennas and took all of my ‘wants’ into account when tracking down the perfect one for me. In this market, I felt like Nate went above and beyond to find me a UNICORN vehicle. You can not find them on any dealership lot anywhere. Once they hit and often before they hit the lot, they are already sold. I am so pleased with my Platinum edition Sienna! I traded in a Tahoe so that I could have more space for my 3 children and I am not disappointed in the slightest. Nate worked hard to get me top dollar for my trade, financing was quick and easy, and they even had someone walk me through all the features of the vehicle before we left the lot. I’ve since been contacted twice to check on if I have any questions or concerns and I just purchased it 2 days ago. Excellent customer service! Go see Nate at Classic, you won’t regret it! More
Nate Seelbach was an outstanding salesman at Classic Toyota! He was encouraging and listened to everything I asked for in a truck. We communicated via email as well as text messaging and he was the best Toyota! He was encouraging and listened to everything I asked for in a truck. We communicated via email as well as text messaging and he was the best! Always professional and. kind, concerned that I get exactly what I wanted. Sara and Cosme were both very sweet and concise as well with showing me the new electronics in the Tacoma and with financing respectively. I was very impressed even with the people who came up to me asking if they could help - Saul was quite the gentleman and informative the first time I came to the dealership. Thanks everyone at Classic Toyota! More
I hate giving bad reviews but this is by far the worse dealership I’ve done business with. “EVER” While trying to buy a Tundra the salesman and/or management did opposite of what I asked. So purchased fro dealership I’ve done business with. “EVER” While trying to buy a Tundra the salesman and/or management did opposite of what I asked. So purchased from another dealership. Now that I’ve used them to service my vehicle, it has been even worse. On the first service visit I’m trying to ask questions and the service rep wouldn’t answer me directly and spoke to me like an idiot. The second visit was yesterday and they serviced the truck and parked it. While speaking to another customer getting the same service as myself, he had a rep come explain what’s going on with his vehicle. I had an appointment and he just showed up and got his vehicle before me. I’m told that they sent my guy to lunch. I receive a call from the desk saying they have my keys. I’m upset and the lady at the desk gets an attitude with me because I’m upset. Dumbfounding. I can go on and on. Don’t do business with this dealership. It’s not worth the headache. I’ll drive an extra 30 minutes to take my car somewhere else. More
The staff at Classic Toyota of Tyler, TX exemplifies how a dealer should treat their clients, regardless of inventory. They should change their name to “Class Act” Toyota because that’s what they are. Their a dealer should treat their clients, regardless of inventory. They should change their name to “Class Act” Toyota because that’s what they are. Their dedication is what lead to my luck in finding my Sienna. I submitted an inquiry late Saturday and rather than getting an automated response or a reply from someone who handles off shift emails with limited capacity, Doug Franklin took the time after hours to reply. I’d been dealing with dealers all day (50+ emails) so I was a bit curt in my response, but 2 HOURS AFTER CLOSING, Woody Woodruff responded with all of the requested information. Then on SUNDAY, his day off, he went in and took pictures for me, provided additional information and started collecting my information so we were postured to seal the deal Monday, when they opened. Monday AM, Doug contacted me and worked all of the requirements, then Cosme Loredo, finance, walked through all of the paperwork details line by line and FedEx’d them to me. On the day I flew in to pickup Doug was there waiting at the airport despite flight delays that cut into his personal appointment times. Woody was there to greet me at the dealership and personalized his involvement, and finally Olivia Betancourt was there to go over the details/features of the Sienna before I made the drive home. Throughout the ENTIRE process, there was ZERO pressure, ZERO hassle, ZERO added nonsense. Everyone was transparent and up front about everything and they were very respectful of my time during every aspect of the process. Unlike the majority of dealers I’ve encountered, they didn’t care that I had no trade, that I had my own financing, that I wasn’t interested in add ons, or that I was from out of town. All they cared about was that I was a Customer that chose to do business with them. More
Service department is a rip off. Said 2007 prius needed a new engine to fix service engine light problem-took to independent mechanic who said all it needed was new spark plugs and the coil was bad. Took a new engine to fix service engine light problem-took to independent mechanic who said all it needed was new spark plugs and the coil was bad. Took Classic toyota a week to call with what they thought was the problem and would cost $5000. Took the independent mechanic a few hours to determine issue and cost $200 Do not recommmend service department. More

I would not recommend Classic Toyota in Tyler to any of my friends or family. Not to purchase a vehicle nor service area. I am very unhappy with how I was treated by more than 1 employee and they false adv my friends or family. Not to purchase a vehicle nor service area. I am very unhappy with how I was treated by more than 1 employee and they false advertise. Took my car to the service area on Saturday March 6th and online their SERVICE hours stated 7am-5pm. Got there at 1:50 to get my cars air conditioning looked at and they said service for that closes at 2. My husband and I were very upset not only at the fact that we had a car of 3 kids with no ac but we also live 30 mins away and that their website CLEARLY stated open until 5pm Saturday. We were told there is nothing they could do and to come back Monday to have my car looked at. And at that point I had less than 100 miles until my warranty was over, another reason I brought it in Saturday. So Monday I took off early to carry my 3 kids back up there and I explained my issues I was having with my car and they said they didn't have time to look at both issues that day. Laura the lady who we spoke with Saturday and Monday was very disrespectful, rude, and not pleasant at all with no type of friendly manners or words. And after waiting for my car to be looked at for my ac they said they can't fix it on my warranty. I asked to leave it there to get the RPM looked at and get a rental but they claimed no rental was available which on Saturday I discussed needing a rental. Shortly after I left obviously upset and frustrated I realized my car hood wasn't latched. I called and talked to the manager Scotty and explained the hood issue and asked if it was protocol for them to leave it unlatched and that the latch to close my hood was bent and told him my other million issues I had there. He explained he would call me Tuesday to figure out what he could do for me. Tuesday at 1 he calls and very shortly explained nothing could be done to make my experience better. If that is how they treat their customers I would not want anyone else to experience what I went through. More
