A friend came from Houston. On her way, she ran over a tire. My husband and I took her to Classic Honda. We have never been treated so well at any dealership. From the very beginning, each person was friendly, kind and so very helpful. There was a very short wait, and an employee said they were ready to put the car on the rack. They examined the car thoroughly to make sure she would have no problem returning to Houston after her stay here. Their kindness and professionalism were beyond compare. On January 6, 2023, on a Friday , I had our 2016 Buick Enclave serviced at Classic Honda( oil change and filter and State inspection). When I left after the service was done , I noticed that the "se Enclave serviced at Classic Honda( oil change and filter and State inspection). When I left after the service was done , I noticed that the "service charging system warning" was showing on the instrument panel . I questioned to myself that something had happened during the servicing to cause the problem. However I needed to return home soon. When I returned home , I called several auto repair places including Classic Honda to schedule evaluation and repairs . I spoke by phone to a lady at the service dept at Classic , and explained that the car had just been serviced there and asked if they could repair it. The lady told me they did not do mechanic work on GM cars at Classic Honda, nor did she offer to have me bring it in there to be checked out . I wound up having the alternator replaced at a another repair shop with which I was familiar and where other repairs of mine had been done successfully . It turns out that the permanent electric plug/connector on the alternator had been broken off by the person at Classic Honda who did the oil change and when the oil filter was changed. This was not apparent until the work at the other shop to do the alternator replacement had progressed and the car was not driveable When I was told this by the shop owner I went to and reported this to the service dept at Classic Honda , they offered to have me bring the car in to be repaired there. After some discussion, Jason, the service mgr at Classic agreed to reimburse us for the cost of the repairs at the other shop, plus the cost of the rental car we had to obtain. Within 12 days after bringing the receipts to Classic on Jan 12 , Jason had prepared for me a check for the entire out of pocket costs I incurred . I was vocally thankful to Jason and the asst service mgr, Cody , for keeping their promise to reimburse for my costs. I still would have the car serviced at Classic in the future, since I know they would be more careful the next time , and because their vehicle inspection is more complete and personally reported than at other oil change and facilities I have used. The Service Department at Classic Honda of Midland Deserves a 1 Star only for the fact that they agreed to look at my car the next day rather than the standard two weeks from now as with other Mechani Deserves a 1 Star only for the fact that they agreed to look at my car the next day rather than the standard two weeks from now as with other Mechanics in Midland, TX. I was charged $190 for a diagnostics which consisted of me telling them that the car needed a new head gasket which is what their diagnostics came back with. However, instead of pricing a head gasket replacement, they tried telling me it was less expensive, as in $8275, to trade the motor out of this car for a motor out of a lower valued L Series Honda with 30,000 more miles on it than the K20Z3 motor that we currently have. Obviously a scam, I was born under a rock but it wasn't yesterday that I was born under that rock. I've come to expect this from most mechanics in Midland, TX but not from HONDA! Eddie tell your buddy that he won't be getting an upgraded motor and also tell you service department they won't be making $8275 off of me. I hope the $190 "Diagnostic Fee" was worth it because I will be writing a review everywhere I can and I will not be referring ANYONE TO CLASSIC HONDA OF MIDLAND! More
