We had a 2005 Sienna, but we needed something that could pull a trailer and a boat. When I met with Bill Goshorn I said specifically we were looking for a Base Explorer with a Tow Package. They had a Base Explorer, but it did not have a tow package. I told them I was in no hurry to buy, and would wait on one if they needed to order it, but that having the tow package was essential. He reassured me over and over that they could add the tow package with wiring harness to the base model they had in stock. I was told it would be done in a day or two. I accepted this, which was my first big mistake. Secondly, I am a small business owner, which by no means makes me important just busy. Therefore I asked that we take care of as much of the paperwork as possible ahead of time so that I could just pop in and sign the paperwork and be gone. When we bought our Sienna, I didn't even test drive it. We did everything by e-mail, and when we came to the store we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. For this Explorer, I specifically waited a couple of extra days, so that we could schedule a time for me to come down and sign the paperwork. I was anticipating signing the paperwork, then leaving the Explorer with them to put the Tow Package on. I had told them I needed my van for business and could not be without a vehicle to move things around. When I came down for what I thought was just to sign the paperwork, they told me they needed my van that day and they wanted me to drive the Explorer home and to make an appointment with service to get the hitch on. I was assured it could be done in the next day or two. I double checked this, because I could not be without this. I had left an hour open in my schedule to handle all of this paperwork, but since very little of the paperwork was filled out ahead of time and they decided they wanted to try and give me less for my trade-in it took over three hours. Then when we were finished, I waited another 30 minutes for them to wash and clean the car. Heck, I put a deposit down on it the week before, you would have thought this could have been done already. Now, here's where I feel I got completely screwed. The next day I get a call that says the hitch they were going to install is back ordered and it will take 3-4 weeks to get it in. I asked if I was going to be reimbursed for my expense of renting a van for deliveries and of course no one will return my messages. So I'm stuck for almost a month with no vehicle to tow with which made me furious because it was the one thing I told them I needed. They didn't care, they just wanted to close a deal. When I did get the hitch finally installed I look at it to see if everything was done right. At first I don't even see the wiring harness, so I open the back gate and sure enough, there is the wire just laying in the back. When I asked the service guy he says you just have to pull it out and plug it in and shut the gate on it. I have spent $30,000 on a new SUV to tow with, and I have to shut the gate on the wire. Please explain this to me???? It was the most important thing to me and now I am stuck with this rig job. In addition, they owe me a $600 refund from the purchase, has that come yet? Of course not. Please, do yourself a favor and run from this dealership. This was my first Ford and my first car from here and it will be my last. They do not care about your personal situation they just see dollar signs. Hopefully this will have some impact. I am also sending a copy of this letter to the owner of the dealership and to Ford. Thanks for listening, Sean Cripe Columbia, SC More

This is the second vehicle that I have bought from brad personally, and I have referred multiple people to him. I have had a great experience with the whole car buying system. They worked incredibly hard t personally, and I have referred multiple people to him. I have had a great experience with the whole car buying system. They worked incredibly hard to get me the vehicles that I want for what I want to pay for them. They paid off a trade that I am sure they are losing money on to put me into a car. My wife and I showed up there after doing a lot of research, and it was ten minutes till they were about to close, and brad stayed there till 11:00 Pm to make sure that we were satisfied and completely happy with every aspect. Their pricing is insane. I have no idea how they can sell vehicles at the price they do. The variety of vehicles on their lot is unmatched by anyone in the area. Their staff is knowledgeable, and not pushy. Not one time did I feel forced to buy a vehicle that I didn’t want, or was out of my price range. They brought the price of the vehicle down thousands of dollars so that we would be able to afford it. We spent hours negotiating and not one time did brad get short tempered at all. In conclusion I don’t know when or where in the world I will be when I need to buy another vehicle but I will defiantly return to Classic Ford Lincoln of Columbia and not waste my time at any other dealership. (Oh- he was also very patient ... answering every question I had, letting me drive different cars to see which suited me best, and spending time helping me out long after regular working hours were over!) I am very pleased with the car I chose and would highly recommend Classic Ford. :-) More

It was our intention to begin the researching process so we would know what we wanted when we were to purchase a car in May. I wanted a KIA because of the 100,000 mile warranty. We never did test drive one but I did like the looks and it was in our price range. My husband, being gun shy of foreign vehicles, said we should look at the Fords. We had not seen much for Ford SUV’s on the road but knew Ford had NOT taken a buyout. Again, we were ONLY looking and had no intentions of buying yesterday. When we purchased our BMW-Z4 six years ago it was because we stopped to look at the Audi’s which we really wanted but they would NOT let us test drive that car so we drove down the street and purchased a BMW. Audi lost the sale because they would not work with us. There were only three things we demanded in a vehicle: V6 engine, white in color, and leather seats. J.R. Honeycutt met us while we looked at the vehicle we purchased. We had a couple questions which he was not sure about so he immediately got Stanley to answer those questions. The guys were great and JR did not pressure us at all to look at something more expensive or sway our decision. This car has much more than we wanted but it was immediately available (again, we did not need it until May). Your people worked with us to get us a deal we could live with. Also, because we were only running errands we had to get home to let our dog out as we already had been gone longer than we should have. Since my husband had driven the car and I had not, Classic Ford let me drive the car back to Chapin so we could let the dog out and give me the opportunity to test drive it. We could have still backed out of purchasing this vehicle but our final decision was based on JR’s professional handling of the sale (without pressure) and the other guys working with us to make the deal work. In processing the final paperwork Addie Mack was very good about explaining items on the sales agreement. When we realized JR would not get his full commission if we went back this morning we decided to wrap up the deal last night. He deserves every penny he earns as he was a pleasure to work with. Today is JR’s day off and he has already called us this morning to make sure any other questions we might have were answered. Although we keep our vehicles for a long time and it’s been many years since anyone in our families have owned a Ford, our experience at Classic Ford just may change our views of ever purchasing any other vehicle. JR was a pleasure to work with and we hope he has a long career with Classic Ford. Thank you for all your help and we look forward to enjoying our new vehicle. AJ was great to work with! We did not feel pressured at all, actually AJ let a week past without calling and eventually called to see if we found anything to suit our needs. When AJ called us back my wife all, actually AJ let a week past without calling and eventually called to see if we found anything to suit our needs. When AJ called us back my wife and I were on the way to the dealership because she had not seen the car yet. As we were on the way AJ called and ask me when we could come by with my check stubs & proof of residency. Little did he know we were on the way to the dealership after viewing another Mini in Charlotte that the dealer failed to tell us had been wreck. Nevertheless our buying experience was one of the best we ever had with a dealership. Thanks AJ & thanks Classic Ford of Columbia! More
