The last thing I want to do is to give negative review to any business. I feel like I have to let everyone know about the ordeal in the form of poor service I have been through starting mid-October 2023 to d any business. I feel like I have to let everyone know about the ordeal in the form of poor service I have been through starting mid-October 2023 to date. Before I go on, I would like to state that I purchased my 2018 Camaro brand from Classic Elite Chevrolet in April of 2018, and have had all the recommended maintenance and service done only through the Classic Elite service department. On 10/18/23, I had the normally recommended maintenance that was supposed to include an oil change, rotation, and a 10-point check that includes checking fluids and so on. On 11/16/23 right before Thanksgiving, I noticed my temperature gauge slightly go up I opened the hood and the coolant level was very low, and an oily soiled piece of rag was left under the hood since routine maintenance, and a scorched coolant/cap. After about 3-4 days of diagnosis, I was told that the problem was coming from the surge tank leaking coolant. On 11/22/23, I was charged about $850 for a new surge tank. On 02/23/24 I randomly opened my hood and noticed my coolant level was low again and called Mr. Mike Jones, my service representative, and took my car in for another check was told after diagnosis, that bubbles caused it and it was filled with coolant and given back to me. On 03/11/24, my check engine light came on, coolant level was low again, I towed my car in, out of precaution for the same problem. I wasn’t having any other issues at this point, my car was driving fine. On 03/14/24, I was told it looks like the turbo is now stuck close. On 03/18/24, I was told that the turbo was the main problem. On 03/19/24, I was told that engine coolant was now getting into my cylinders. Could it be caused by faulty installation of a new surge tank or bad diagnosis, after replacing the tank for about $850? I was told later on that to go any further I would have to agree to a teardown fee of $2250, which I have to pay if I decide not to repair it. On 03/27/24, I was told, following the latest diagnosis after teardown that my engine block is warped at just barely over 60,000 miles. On 04/01/24, I was told that the turbocharger is also bad, the piston or the engine is warped and that it will cost about $9600 and I will pay about $6300 after some GM discounts. I pleaded with them to work something better out, that they’re the experts that are doing all the services on my car and I thought my car was being properly maintained by them, but they decided to completely deny any responsibility, after all the misdiagnosis and charging me over $800 for a new surge tank and installation. No coolant was getting into my engine until after the surge tank installation. I went to them 3 or more different times after my surge tank replacement with consistent low coolant problem, and they kept doing bubble text filling up coolant and sending me home. These are supposed to be the experts, I am sure they all know what coolant issue can do to a car’s engine. This may not be intentional but it sure feels like it, I even asked them several times to meet me halfway, but the service manager Mr. Ronnie Calda refused. These could have been prevented if my car had been diagnosed properly. I trusted Classic Elite Chevrolet so much, that I never thought I could get such poor service from them, that ended up costing me first $850 for a new surge tank and installation that never solved the problem and could have caused fluids to start going into my engine that led to the subsequent damage to engine and turbo, that ended up costing me another $6300 for a new engine and turbocharger. My car was returned to me unwashed with glue stains from what looked like straps on my hood and trunk, and I had to go back a few days later to remove those stains. Remember my car was with them for 4 months. I usually get a text for review before I make it home, but this time after a week nobody has contacted me, I was wondering why. More
I have been coming here for years for routine maintenance since they keep their prices reasonable, aren't pushy, and they pretty much treat our vehicles as their own. since they keep their prices reasonable, aren't pushy, and they pretty much treat our vehicles as their own. More
