Just returned home to Missouri after flying to DFW to see the vehicle I was interested in. The salesperson was very helpful via text and sent me some extra pictures that looked great. I expected to drive t the vehicle I was interested in. The salesperson was very helpful via text and sent me some extra pictures that looked great. I expected to drive this vehicle home. The salesperson picked me up a the airport and we went to the dealer. The vehicle looked like the pictures and was actually quite nice and was as clean and smoke free as the salesperson said it was. Sadly, when I sat in the driver's seat I saw the 10" crack going straight up the windshield in front of me. I said, "I cannot license this in Missouri without it being repaired (we have inspections)." I called the car glass company with whom I work in my town and told it would be about $1,260 to repair (including the manufacturer recalibration)--this expense was because the vehicle had active collision avoidance technology. Additionally, there was only one key/fob, an additional expense of about $380 (I was not informed of this prior to arriving). I offered what I was hoping to pay less the expenses of repairing the things that a conscientious dealer should have repaired in the first place and was turned down flat. No negotiation, nothing. I believe this was because I was going to pay by wire transfer rather that financing (but I am guessing here). The did not want to sell this vehicle to me. That is okay. But I am extremely disappointed that I was allowed to come from out of state without being told about the cracked windshield. If I had known they were not interested in working with me to find a reasonable price that covered the damage, I would not have wasted my time and money to fly in, and turn around and fly out. The dealer knew about the cracked windshield but did not disclose it until I found it myself (every used car that is taken in undergoes a detailed inspection where everything wrong is itemized and it is determined by the manager what will be, and will not be, fixed). Shame on the Manager, for sure. The salesperson said he did not know it had a crack (I cannot verify if true or not--thus, I will not use his name). I find the behavior of the manager disreputable. If you are not from the DFW area, don't waste your time to see a car at Classic Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Fiat of Arlington. I am sad that I had to write this review; in fact, I find today to have been unbelievable. They were nice enough though to drive me back to the airport. More
Brianna was an absolutely dream to work with. I got in contact with her through the website and she called me just a few minutes later. We did 90% of the paperwork over the phone and she had my car cleane contact with her through the website and she called me just a few minutes later. Lyon served me and he did a great job. Lots of info, no pressure, worked with my trade and got a great deal for me. He didn't pressure me to stay and buy when I wanted to look at other vehicles. Customer service was very bad. They did not follow up with me! I and my wife called more than 6 times and left a message fpr tje managerto call is back. They were not available after we already paid.
