The service manager assured me that he would have my car looked up and down until it was fixed. They had my car for a week. Long story short the service manager lied to me. The service representatives lied to me. When I left my check engine light came right back on. The service manager refused to refund me the diagnostic fee even though my car was never fixed. I asked them to repair my air conditioning. It still didn't work after that week either. GM also said they would not reimburse me as they don't reimburse for dealerships. I'm never going there again. With thousands of dollars of prepaid Canadian excursions on the line, we had only a few days to get it fixed and get on the road. Bob Willrich and Dave Braunlich were able to work us into the shop schedule and a technician, who didn't introduce himself, repaired our vehicle. It was mostly covered by warranty as well. More
Service Department is Awful We have purchased 5 cars from Classic Chevy in the past and we will never go back again. The Service Department is terrible. I brought my car in for the same issue at least 5 times and it never got fixed. On top of that, despite the fact that this started while it was under warranty, Chevrolet wanted me to pay to get it fixed. I ended up taking it to another dealership for another issue and they looked at it and were able to do something about it on the first try!!! I just felt like I was bothering them and they didn't seem to care that I had to keep bringing in my car. Oh, and I also had someone from there tell me that their brakes make noises from time to time when they apply them. THIS WASN'T TIME TO TIME. IT WAS ALL THE TIME AND VERY EMBARRASSING. Sounded like I was driving around in a piece of junck. I believe Jeff Gill was one of people I dealt with. I cannot wait to get rid of my car. I tell everyone I know to stay away from Classic Chevy. We recently just purchased a car from Classic GMC and I told them how much I hated dealing with Chevy's service department and were told that they had heard bad things about them as well. If you want to feel like you are an idiot and that you are bothering someone, feel free to go to Classic Chevy in Mentor. They will have no problem with making you feel this way! More

Warranty customers treated secondary from paying customers. General attitude is the feeling that they don't really want to help you, but they don't want you to call their boss. "Consultants" are generally unavailable and/or do not call back when promised. I have used other GM dealerships in the area and have much greater experiences, so it is not the "goodwrench policy". I have literally sat in the waiting area and watched people being put on hold for no apparent reason. They say that weekdays are by appointment only. I call to setup my appointment, drive the car in and it is generally just chaos and you are seemingly chosen at random for your service. I then have to explain again why I am in for service, what kind of car, etc etc. Stupid. Can't say I'm coming back once current issues are fixed. More

We are disappointed that the sales people we delt with for many years are no longer employed by CLASSIC. We do not have a warm friendly confidence feeling in dealing with some of newer and younger agressive sales people. We were also recently disappointed in the lack of new car inventory availability which we were led to believe may have been a Chevrolet item - not a CLASSIC item. A dealer trade was needed to get what we wanted. We were also PROMISED a call from Mr. Brown about our new car purchase experience which never occured - we both were greatly disappointed that this did not occur. The service is no longer as good as it once was. Since we trust almost all service to CLASSIC, we enjoy being treated as faithful customers - kindness and courtesy is always appreciated and competitive pricing would bring CLASSIC more business - not the textbook pricing to do certain jobs. This last car purchase was almost with another dealer due to what I feel is decreasing customer care and attention to a loyal customer's goals and wishes. I would hope that CLASSIC and the ownership would review their operations to better suit their service to repeat loyal and maybe now aging customers. Those who are loyal not only come back, but as most apt to tell others if they have a favorable (or unfavorable) experience. More
Dealing with Classic Chevrolet was a very pleasant experience, from the purchase of our used 2008 Equinox last summer to the first servicing. I have been taking all my cars to Classic Chevy since I purchased an '05 Malibu there. The people in the service department are all very friendly. They are responsive to my concerns. Recently I was a bi purchased an '05 Malibu there. The people in the service department are all very friendly. They are responsive to my concerns. Recently I was a bit upset that I was charged a lot (I thought) to have a tail light replaced. I called the dealership when I noticed to price breakdown for this service and I spoke to the manager. He listened to my concerns and credited my account the labor charge I had questioned. I would recommend Classic Chevy to anyone. -Paula M More
