RIP PEOPLE OFF!! Just a warning to all! Last week I took my ram truck into Clarion Ford Chrysler Ram in Clarion Pa. It needed inspected, oil change and recalls done. Just a warning to all! Last week I took my ram truck into Clarion Ford Chrysler Ram in Clarion Pa. It needed inspected, oil change and recalls done. I was happy when I picked the truck up because it was a reasonable price from the dealer. My truck didn’t need anything for inspection, all good. Yeah! Well when I pulled out of there the truck was running a little rough, I should have turned around right then and taken it back. But I didn’t, but the next day I called and complained about it. They said as long as the check engine light is on solid I could still drive it and they gave me an appointment for a week away. So I drive the truck, the transmission isn’t shifting right and now check engine light flashes. I quit using the truck, take it in to Clarion ram again. They say the engine now has a misfire, and it will cost xxxx amount of money to repair. So they couldn’t get me on inspection for any additional problems or money, seems to me they caused a problem to my truck so I would have to take it back. They said it’s all just a coincidence that my truck has a problem after they worked on it...seems to me typical dealer crap! Like Gibbs says “there are no such things as coincidence”. Beware of Clarion Ford Chrysler Ram! Spread the word far and wide! No I didn’t have them do the work, scammy people! More

She called me to tell me there was a banging sound in the front of her 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland ,when she applied her brakes. I normally would trouble shoot the vehicle myself...if it was at home ...and take it to my local Jeep dealer..with a pretty good idea of what was wrong before I got there. They would ..of course graciously accept the Jeep in there service department, and fix the issue for which it was brought in. Naturally, being 250 miles away from the vehicle, I suggested she make an appointment at the Clarion Dodge,Jeep, Chrysler dealership to have it looked at. To my unexpected surprise. she called me to tell me the Clarion Jeep dealership service department would not accept her Jeep because it was too old for them to service. To say the least, I was appalled!! I am 53 years old, and have owned at least one Jeep, (or more) ,at a time, since I was 16 years old. Currently, I own 3. Never...in all those years , have I encountered a Jeep dealership that refused to service my Jeep, because it was too old. I am fairly mechanically inclined, and do as much of my own service on my Jeeps as possible. With that being said, I have never encountered a situation where I was unable to obtain parts for my 2004 Grand Cherokee. I decided to call the dealership myself, and find out what was going on. I was told by the service clerk that they do not service vehicles that old because too many parts were obsolete. As I mentioned above, I've never run in to that being an issue either when working on the Jeep myself, or having it serviced at my local dealership. So I asked to talk to the GM of the dealership. He told me the same story... obsolete parts issue..and when I questioned him further, and explained that I never had that issue at my local dealership, he very rudely explained to me that he was an individual ,franchise owned dealership, and had the prerogative to work or not work on any vehicle he saw fit. First of all, I as a customer have never been spoken to by a dealership representative in such a rude, condescending manner in my life, let alone the dealership general manager. When I explained that my daughter was a student in his town, and we lived so far away, I thought maybe he would make an exception to his ridiculous ,unheard of policy. When he would not, I became somewhat agitated with him and the way he ran his dealership, (as you might expect someone,in need of help might.) It was then, that he gave me the " it was his prerogative" speech, and then went on to tell me that even if he did service older Jeeps, with my attitude, he would refuse to service my vehicle anyway. Never...ever..have I been treated like that from a business that relies soley on the satisfaction of it's customers, to stay successful. I find, not only their refusal to work on an " older" model, of the same make of vehicle they sell at their dealership unacceptable, but the way the general manager interacted with me, his customer, absolutely appalling!!! My recommendation for any one driving a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, that breaks down near the town of Clarion, Pa., is to get out, and push your vehicle to the next closest dealership. Trust me, it will be alot less aggravating, and frustrating in the end!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT CLARION, PA CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP, RAM !!!!!! More
