Had a terrific experience. Jesse and Zak were very helpful in getting me into the car and I love my "new to me" subaru. The car was clean and everything I wanted and needed. As a first time car buyer, my experience at Subaru of Claremont was great. The sales associate that assisted me there was Jesse Wright. I had expectations of being pressured hard as soon as I stepped onto the lot. Jesse was there to greet me, but simply explained the lot layout and didn't follow me or hammer me with questions. After showing full interest in a vehicle Jesse and I sat down. Couldn't have been an easier person to talk to, it was a pretty relaxed, and he was willing to work with my vehicle needs including my trade in. By the end, he offered me more than what I asked for a trade-in value, so I do believe that they are pretty fair about valuing vehicles as they come in. I felt a little pressured toward the end of our meeting, but thats to be expected anywhere I would think. Their goal is to make a sale ASAP, so I can't necessarily blame him for that. Ultimately I did not purchase a vehicle from Claremont only because the exact vehicle I wanted was somewhere else. I honestly preferred Claremont's service over the other dealer, but it really just came down to convenience. Comparing Claremont to the other dealer, Claremont (Jesse) was much more pro-active in keeping the lines of communication open by checking in via email from time to time, without being a nuisance. Bottom Line: Jesse was easy to communicate with and tailored his efforts toward my needs in order to make a sale. My decision not to make a purchase simply came down to convenience, something I can't necessarily blame Claremont for. I'd recommend Jesse as well as Subaru of Claremont for both used and new vehicle purchases. They did great. Thanks More
We just bought a 2013 Outback from this dealership and the process could not have been easier. There were no surprises when we picked up the car. No hard sell of extra options. We were going to be registering out of state and they were still able to print out all the paperwork we needed for the DMV. Admittedly, they are 10 miles from the state line and probably do it a lot but it's just an example of how easy and pleasant it was to buy a car here. I would have no trouble recommending them to my friends. More
I've never a possitive experience at a dealership before this one. Lucas Pedras, from the second I walked in, was friendly, caring, and I felt that he really just wanted the best deal for me. I kept waiting ... thinking there was going to be hidden costs or some trick. It never came. It was just the best deal I ever made. Trading up my Impreza for the Crosstrak has made me the happiest valentine!!!! From start to finish nothing was pushed on me, things were just added on, like rubber mats, side rails, and top rails. Lucas Pedras feels like an old friend, I would recomment EVERYONE to go see him!!!! More
I used the internet to begin my search for a car. I discovered the S of C website to be very user-friendly, and I found a car there that I was interested in. Had a lot of questions though, so I called and was directed to Zach Rouleau. Zach was friendly, answered my questions clearly, and when he didn't know the answer he went out to the lot and checked the car to find out the answer i needed. As Zach tallked to me, I realized I wanted to test drive the vehicle and we agreed on a time. Next day I arrived in the bitter cold and there was my salesperson -- Lukas Pedras -- right out front to meet me. He helped me get my elderly mom and big yellow lab settled comfortably in the salesroom and then we went for a ride. Lukas allowed me to take the car through its paces, and suggested a perfect route for good test drive. I tested a couple of cars for comparison, and those drives convinced me that the car I was interested in was legit. I returned with my sons who have automotive experience and knowledge. After they tested the car and asked more questions we decided to go ahead with it. Lukas helped us negotiate a good deal. His willingness to listen and his communication skills set him apart from other car dealers I have experienced. I recommend him highly! Later, Tom McGhee steered me to finding the perfect warranty for my pre-owned car. He is steady and patient with a subtle sense of humor -- the perfect person to wrap up the deal. I truly appreciate the efforts of everyone I met at Subaru of Claremont! More
In my 20 years of car buying, this was by far the best experience I have had. Ralph was more than willing to help in any way he could and made for a delightful experience. Subaru of Claremont was absolutely top-notch in my car search and purchase. I wanted a 2013 Subaru Forester (having already had 7 Subaru's over the years) and worked with four dealers this time around. Ot search and purchase. Others were pushy, or slow to respond, or had a dog and pony show about why I had to buy THIS car TODAY or pricing would go up tomorrow or (believe it or not) they might not reach their quota for sales. I had a lot of emails back and forth with Jesse Wright. He was patient, matter-of-fact, and got me quick, detailed answers. He didn't push me, which might have pushed me out the door. I got the car within a couple days, and it's really terrific. But when I went to register it, I had somehow lost the insurance papers Jesse had given me. I called customer service, and within about 10 minutes Marthanna Goshom had scanned a copy of the paperwork and emailed it to me. That totally blew my mind, as I had expected a few hours wait. This is unlike the experiences I have had at other dealerships over the years. Subaru of Claremont has won my loyalty, and we'll be buying another new car there for my wife in a couple years. More
