However, I had a relative emergency or at least what I thought was one and needed a dealership close by. I called on a Monday morning and they got me in the next day and provided a loaner car. The issue turned out be a bent exhaust manifold - simple to fix and no parts needed. Total bill was $25. What I was impressed with was their honesty - they could have made this a much more expensive trip. I'm done with the old dealership and officially switched to City Side for my future service needs. While I haven't bought a car yet from this dealership, I've been taking my car for service ever since I've owned it, as did the previous owner. I've never had trouble getting an appointment, service has always been timely, and if it takes a few days they offer a loaner. I always get a call from someone in the dept. to explain exactly what they did (I'm not a car person, and they really help me understand everything!) and they never automatically fix something without notifying me, and weighing the pros and cons. I've had mechanics in the past tell me something was absolutely necessary to fix, charge me a ton for it, and then I find out later that I didn't have to fix it, or it could have been done in a different way to save me money. These guys NEVER do that. They don't try and tell you to fix something that's not really broken, and they always discuss all of my options with me. I completely trust them to keep my car safe and functional, and to give me a fair price for it. I don't go anywhere else, not even for oil changes! When I decide to purchase another car, this is the dealership that I will go to. More
They did a great job. They were very thorough, knew what they were doing, and did their best to save us money while making sure their work was sound. Major repairs were needed on my 2001 Forester with 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as 120,000 miles. Joe Cisek, the service manager, was able to very clearly explain what needed to be done and worked with me to keep the cost as low as possible while still performing the needed repairs. Because of this, the final cost was less than the estimate, a rare event in the world of car repair. Cityside also helped me secure some extended warranty support from Subaru of America and stood behind their own warranty on some prior service work that needed to be redone. More
We bought a new 2003 Subaru Forester from CitySide and have used them exclusively for service of our car over the last 6 years. We had very few problems, until this year (2009) when we were told after 32 have used them exclusively for service of our car over the last 6 years. We had very few problems, until this year (2009) when we were told after 32,000 miles, that we needed a new transmission. The owner of the dealership agreed to take half the cost of the transmission off the bill, after we requested twice that we did not feel we should have to pay for what apparently was a defective transmission. The service manager, Joseph, was very helpful in negotiating this agreement for us, and the car seems to be running in excellent order now. Unfortunately, I do not know if I would ever choose to buy another Subaru. Everyone I have spoken with tells me there is no reason why a transmission should need to be replaced after only 32,000 miles. I'm sorry that Subaru was not able to stand behind its vehicle well enough to satisfy us. Before this happened, I was a staunch advocate of Subaru vehicles. More
I've been taking my Subaru Impreza for regular service to Cityside for the last two years. They are consistently on time, inexpensive, and communicative. I never thought I would have a service relationship with a car dealer, but I'm very happy with the one I have with Cityside Subaru. I find the service people very, very helpful, clear, informative and coop a car dealer, but I'm very happy with the one I have with Cityside Subaru. I find the service people very, very helpful, clear, informative and cooperative. They educate me, but never talk down to me. They take really good care of my car so that it works well, and it's safe. I know that sometimes people don't want to get car service from a dealer because it's perceived as more expensive, but I have not found that to be the case, and I am much happier knowing that the repair is done properly. I certainly recommend them. More

I was wary of having my car serviced at a dealership due to pricing. I had a coupon so I knew I was safe so I tried Cityside. Reception was quick and courteous. The waiting area was bright and clean. The to pricing. I had a coupon so I knew I was safe so I tried Cityside. Reception was quick and courteous. The waiting area was bright and clean. The work was done quickly (I waited) and thoroughly. Even with the coupon, Joe threw in a free tire rotation. There was no pressure to do extra work. I definitely will return for service. More
