I bought a car with three year maintenance, and have in writing on the contract for sale that there is three year maintenance, yet they refuse to honor the contract and want to charge me for maintenance. I got Toyota corporate involved, and corporate confirmed that City World needs to honor the contract, yet City World still won’t honor what is in writing. My advice? Try Honda instead. Much more honorable customer service. More

When it became warm enough to use my air conditioner some weeks later, I discovered my passenger side carpet was soaked. I went back to see the person who handled the paperwork for my repair . I believe he was either out to lunch or on vacation. I showed a few service people the receipt showing I had work done there. I was told it would be $149.00 to have a look and give an estimate(!) I went to a business client of mine who has a shop and works on exotic Italian cars. The first thing he did was slowly pull back the front carpet starting from under the glove compartment. He showed me the air conditioner drain hose on the floor instead of through the hole in the floor a few inches away from where it belongs! Apparently the tech who did the job did not re-route it through the floor. Problem now solved. I called the service manager who claimed it was NOT possible for the tech to do this and told me to watch U-tube videos on how the job is done instead of OWNING UP TO MAKING A MISTAKE. . I called two other Toyota dealers I normally deal with, without disclosing my name. They said it is very possible this can happen. (Yes, I would have used these dealers if I could have. My shifter cable happened to fail about 400 feet from Cityworld Toyota.)The drain hose outlet just happens to be in the center of the floor near the center console where the shifter is, where they had to do the work.. I pulled up as much carpeting as I could, placed towels underneath and got out most of the water. I propped up the carpet underside with small wood blocks raising the carpet up about four inches. I put a huge tub of Damp-Rid on the driver's side rear floor. Baking the car in the sun, and driving with the windows opened dried it out without mold forming. Lots of my own time and gasoline. I have not resolved the problem with this dealer yet. The service manager DID offer to dry out my car. Why would he do this if he said the mistake was not possible? I have two witnesses, photos and video of the carpet being pulled up. I will soon see what Cityworld does for me. (Or what I may do) They certainly were happy to take nearly $700.00 for the shifter cable repair. I may post a review after I visit them again. More
I came in to City World Toyota - Service Center at 3860 Boston Road, Bronx NY, with my 2009 Toyota Camry LE on matters regarding my car and left the facility with a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry LE. When Boston Road, Bronx NY, with my 2009 Toyota Camry LE on matters regarding my car and left the facility with a brand new 2014 Toyota Camry LE. When I drove in I met with an advisor, Cindy Costillo, who was friendly, down-to-earth, and funny, spoke about my concerns and as I was waiting for my car to be checked I made conversation and mentioned about maybe one day purchasing a new car. I HAD NO IDEA THAT THERE WAS A GROUP OF SALES PEOPLE RIGHT THERE IN THE SERVICE CENTER. I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO WALK OR DRIVE ACROSS TO THE SALES OFFICE A BLOCK AWAY.From the time I first inquired about purchasing options to Cindy Costillo (Assistant Service Manager / Advisor), arrangements were made and I was greeted by MR. CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ AND YAVEL MORALS. (SALES GUYS). They were so friendly, modest, honest, and did not badger me like other dealers. We got to know each other and even spoke about our families and then got down to business and told me what deal they could offer me - They were able to get me out of a very high interest rate loan to an astronomically lower rate. I had to wait for about 2 hours and then I was hit with the exciting news, that I was leaving with a new car. They did not push or try to talk me into it. They simply helped me to understand the whole process. They explained everything in detail and waited for me to make a decision. I totally recommend these guys, They treat each other and the customers like family and their work ethics are excellent. Toyota has always been my first choice for cars and because of these three people and the rest of the staff, I think it is safe to say I'll be a Toyota customer for life. This service center / dealership in particular is professional, friendly, and accommodating. The entire process was smooth from the first time I spoke to Cindy Castillo, Christian Rodriguez and Yavel Morals, to the time I drove my new car out of the service center. So this review has both Sales and Service rolled into one. First I purchased a new Toyota Camry in fall of 2012, I was given an awesome price however my troubles started when they failed to submit my one. First I purchased a new Toyota Camry in fall of 2012, I was given an awesome price however my troubles started when they failed to submit my paper work to the DMV, in a timely fashion resulting in my bank hiking my interest rate from 2.19% to 16.09% for my failure to issue them my title in the allotted 90 day period. I called and even went to their location three (3) different times and they informed me how they had sent my documents to the dmv but this was not true, as I had called the DMV on my own to have this verified and they had none of my paper-work in their possession. It took a full six (6) months before the title came in the mail and my bank rolled back my interest rate to the initial 2.19%. I now noticed an airbag warning light on my dash-board brought the vehicle in to have this looked at @ approximately 4:45pm on a weekday they took my car after explaining why I was there, however at 5:15pm the service personnel informed me that my situation is a requires a diagnostic technician and they leave at 5pm so they cant help me today. After asking if the following day at 4pm would be fine she told me yes, sure enough I returned the next day @ 4pm and explained the issue again. They took my car and waited until 5:15pm they called me in and told me that my situation is a requires a diagnostic technician and they leave at 5pm so they cant help me today. ***THESE xxxxING JOKERS *** Eventually I brought my car to another service center who fixed the issue in after 2hrs at no charge because it turns out it was part of a mass recall of Toyota Camry of my year and problem was resolved. Finally received official notification from Toyota one (1) week ago about the recall and the service center knew for months (very strange) More

I went in for some light body work, hoping to have all original parts and matching paint. I was always treated well BUT there was a significant failure to communicate timelines to me and in the end the jo original parts and matching paint. I was always treated well BUT there was a significant failure to communicate timelines to me and in the end the job was at best partially completed. Specifically I needed a new cover for my driver's side mirror. I was told I would need to replace the entire part despite the current mirror working well. When I retreived my car, a full day later than promised and without any call from the service dept to let me know of a delay, the mirror was replaced but IT STILL HAD NO COVER! I was told then that the cover was not requested and would now cost me extra. No offers to order it for me or even put it on at cost. THAT COVER WAS THE ONLY REASON I CAME IN! My bumper was properly repaired as was a dent in my roof, but this mirror issue was beyond shady as it cost almost $300 and only working parts were replaced, still no cover. When I asked for a customer survey I was told it would be sent to me and I have not received it for over 3 months. I requested a survey on three occasions sincve the debacle repair with no reply. This could be the case of one employee or a larger issue at the site. I am not recommending the dealership for service. More
