Came in to have my 2nd key programmed and, and cleaned since my vehicle wasn’t cleaned inside when i first purchased it. Alexis, and Rebecca were extremely nice. When my vehicle was finished i went to go since my vehicle wasn’t cleaned inside when i first purchased it. Alexis, and Rebecca were extremely nice. When my vehicle was finished i went to go look at it, and noticed that the rear door on the driver side was scuffed. This is extremely noticeable- my vehicle is black. I looked around and noticed my hood was also dented, and the other rear door on the passenger side was also scuffed. When i asked to speak to the manager he came out, and showed him what happened. At first he said there was nothing they could do as the vehicle was used. The vehicle was used, it’s a 2018 atlas, that i purchased for 32k. I very much could have purchased a 2021 for the same amount however this was fully loaded, and was in NEW condition. There was only ONE scratch on there when i bought the suv, and i pointed it out. The manager said he was going to have someone reach to me and schedule to have this taken care of, which i am very thankful for. My problem is, whether the vehicle is used or not, i am still a paying customer. I am already upset with the finance manager lying to me, and telling me a hard inquiry would not occur as he checked if i could get a lower APR with the bank i had already been APPROVED FOR. i appreciate Alexis, Rebecca doing their best and for the manager to understand my frustration. I’m sure i will leave another review once dents are taken care of. More

It took two times to fix the car correctly. The second time the car came home smelling like diesel. Called the service mgr. and left a message, 2 weeks later still no response from the service manager or time the car came home smelling like diesel. Called the service mgr. and left a message, 2 weeks later still no response from the service manager or anyone there. What looks like oil and antifreeze look to be in the skid pan. I'd say their communication skills are minimal at best. I had to call each time to find out that the part was in. I can't imagine that this is a dealer that will survive long if it continues the service and follow up its given us. More
Service Department is a Nightmare I came to highland volkswagen to get my car serviced in the service department because of an electrical issue . I dropped off my car and a week later I came to highland volkswagen to get my car serviced in the service department because of an electrical issue . I dropped off my car and a week later they could not still correctly diagnose the problem which had to do with the back window and door lock not working correctly. For 3 days straight I kept getting conflicting stories from Allison the service advisor, the story changed every time I called . Finally on the 8th day with no car and money out on the rental car I had to pay for , I came and got my car out and took it to Team Audi/Volkswagen in Merrillville where there were able to diagnose the same day . So apperently they were just changing parts and guessing because it never fixed the problem. So I moved on and got over it . I went to give them a chance today to get my oil changed and just an oil changed and was turned down and told they can no longer service my vehicle by the service manager Kelly S. . How unprofessional and not reliable this service department is . If they weren't going to service my vehicle any longer I should of been told yesterday when I made the appointment with Justine yesterday instead of showing up this morning and having the service manager Kelly S. Tell me they could no longer work on my car when they were in the wrong the first time. Fair warning stay far away from the Service Department at Highland Volkswagen they have no clue what there are doing and no professional or management skills when it comes to there customers. I wish Sean and Cheryl was still there I never had a problem prior but the people in place now are totally clueless when it comes to business. I will never step foot in there again after what I went through and how I was treated by Servce advisor Allison and Service Manager Kelly S. . Maybe it's time to get people that have a clue on how to run a service department at a new car store not a mentality of an independent shop. More
