On first glance, based on Dealer Rater reviews, this dealership appears to be the Gold Standard of Subaru. As my time is limited, I booked an appointment with the dealer to have an oil change--just an oil change--and was assured with an appointment I would be in and out in under an hour. At the one hour mark I was told they were still working on the oil change; at the ninety minute mark I received apologies and assurances that it would only be a few minutes further. At the two hour mark I demanded to be brought to my car wherein the dealer advised me my engine would require substantial service (several thousand dollars) and if I approved, they would provide the oil change for free (i.e., they never did it, although they had lots of excuses). I lodged a complaint and left with my car. For the record, no other subsequent dealership had issue with providing a timely oil change or with my engine for that matter. I followed the experience with a candid conversation with the dealership's General Manager, who serves as point for disgruntled customers (contrary to these listings, there appear to be more than just me). The General Manager apologized and offered a free oil change; while I declined, I asked if he had any new Tribecas on hand. He didn't, but promised to call in a few weeks when more were expected. He never called. I followed up again with the General Manager a second time a few months later. Still no Tribecas, still more promises of a call. I never heard back from him. Bottom line: My experience with this dealership was extremely negative. They were not respectful of my time or my value as a customer. The entire service experience, including the tiny space where customers wait for their repairs, was poor. I encourage customers to weigh carefully this and any dealership where every review is so glowing. More

I appreciated not having to spend hours buying a car, negotiating with sales personnel for endless hours. Rick Hungerford understands this. He cared about my needs and he took his time working with me. He explained the different features and options so that I could make the best choice for me. We worked out the details of my trade in and the price of the new car on Tuesday and the new car was ready on Wednesday! The entire transaction took 24 hours. When I went to pick up the vehicle, Rick took time to go over what I needed to know, he even paired my phone to my car. Now that's service! This is an outstanding dealer with a wonderful Sales Manager! My two brothers have also purchased pre-owned vehicles from Rick Hungerford and are just as happy with their vehicles and with the service at Flemington Subaru. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a friendly, but professional atmosphere where the customer is treated with respect. Thank you Rick! More
After visiting a local car dealership that sold Subaru cars, I was disheartened by the treatment. I felt intimidated, and disrespected because of my lack of knowledge about the process of purchasing a new cars, I was disheartened by the treatment. The salespersons there were younger than my children, and I felt that there was no interest in taking time to help me decide the best purchase for me, a senior citizen. The Flemington dealership is quite a distance from my home, but it turned out to be worth the distance and travel time. Joe Iuzzolino, the sales person at Flemington Subaru, was actually interested in selling a car to a client, not just in making a car sale. He is very personable, and patiently explained options, and each step in the process of ordering a new car. I actually had no intention in buying a car that was not readily available, but was reassured by Joe Iuzzolino that ordering a car was not unreasonable. He has very strong interpersonal and communication skills, and is a listener who seems to care that the customer is happy with the Subaru. I have been recommending Flemington Subaru to everyone who admires my new car. I am very happy with my 2014 3.5 Subaru Outback with AWD. Thanks, Joe! More
I was looking to trade in my 2010 Subaru for a 2014 model. I chose Flemington Subaru after reading many positive reviews about the dealership online. I sent an email for some information on a Sunday when they were closed but Alex Leist responded to my request that day. We worked out the details of my trade in and the price of the new car on Monday and agreed to terms. To my surprise, the new car was ready on Tuesday morning so the entire transaction took 36 hours. Alex gave me a more than fair price for my trade in by matching an independent appraisal that I had gotten. And he was able to get the new car price to work with my budget. The new car was ready to go and Alex was very efficient in taking care of the paperwork. I strongly recommend contacting Alex Leist at Flemington Subaru if you're in the market for a car. He's friendly, professional, honest and efficient. Even though I live 60 miles away from this dealership, I will be going there for my Subaru needs. More
My experience with the team at Flemington Subaru was excellent. I explained to Joe what I was looking for in a car and the price range I needed to be in and he found me the used Honda cr-v. I had gone to several Subaru dealerships in NJ before coming to Flemington Subaru. When I arrived, everyone was busy, but Brian Peters came over to us to say he would be with us momentarily. Brian was friendly and listened to what I wanted and then let me do the test drive of the Subaru Impreza that I picked out twice so that I could be sure. Then he worked with us to get the best deal possible and was most forthcoming and informative about the Impreza I chose. When I arranged to pick the car up, he sat and explained different features of the car. Finance also explained all the details of my contract. I would be very happy to recommend Flemington Motors, especially Flemington Subaru, to anyone interested in an automobile purchase. I am thrilled with my new car! More

I have been the proud owner of 6 or 7 Foresters, and Rick Hungerford has sold me everyone of them!!!! I now drive 2-3 hours, just to come to Flemington Subaru and have him as a salesperson. He is extremely helpful, courteous, honest (which is Very Important), and always goes out of his way to please the customer. I can call him at any time and ask questions and know I'm not bothering him. When it's his day off, and I have a concern, Ridge Ryman is ready to help, also. I've dealt with the Service Dept. since the 90's, and they are always helpful, friendly, and quite knowledgeable. Diane, Joe Laller, Dan, and Don are always there to help.
