Salesman in the Service Dept, Pushy Salesmen and Manager I have been very unhappy with the quality of service I have been getting at Red Lion Chevrolet. It seems like every time I take my car to get serviced I have been very unhappy with the quality of service I have been getting at Red Lion Chevrolet. It seems like every time I take my car to get serviced at this dealership that Matt O'Neill teams up with a sales person and tries to get them to talk me into trading in my car and buying a new car. I have a 2007 car and it is still in great condition and I have no interest in buying a new car. The salesman that Matt made me talk to today kept asking where I bought my car to see if I had another salesman I dealt with nearby. It is none of his business. He was even disappointed that I didn't want to get my car appraised and that I couldn't buy a new car this year. He even wanted to put my information in his file for next year (clearly by my facial expressions I have zero interest). Earlier this year when Matt first introduced me to another salesman the salesman (Michael Lowrey) and the sales manager (I forget his name) were VERY pushy. I told the salesman that I would be interested in one car if I could afford it and he tried to get me interested in other cars (again, I had no interest in buying). He had the sales manger come talk to me and the sales manager said to me "What's the matter, why can't you do it today" and it looked like he was so concerned about missing out on a sale…looked like he even had tears in his eyes. It seems like they are desperate for sales there, just by how pushy they are. I have dealt with many dealerships through the years when I lived in a few other states and I have never met more pushier service managers and salesmen/sales manager than at Red Lion Chevrolet. I will take my business elsewhere-Faulkner Chevrolet-when I want to buy a new car. More

I took my mom here to purchase a used vehicle. we found one on the adjoining lot (Apple Ford). Everything went well and at first we were pleased. They could only find 1 set of keys, but Chris said he would one on the adjoining lot (Apple Ford). Everything went well and at first we were pleased. They could only find 1 set of keys, but Chris said he would check with Ford dealership to see if they had the other one,and he said if they didn't they would make us a new one. After calls back to Chris with no resolution my mom called Mike Svoboda about the situation and he told her he would personally make one for her. That was a week ago and she hasn't heard back from him.As of this morning I have a call into Michael Rohrbaugh (general manager) so maybe he will correct the problem she is having. More
They found us the exact car we wanted...within 2 days....had it ready for pickup the same day.....very helpful.........had all new services within the car up and running b4 we left the dealership(on days....had it ready for pickup the same day.....very helpful.........had all new services within the car up and running b4 we left the dealership(on Star).....set up 1st oil change appointment b4 we left the dealership.........explained all the neuances of the car more than one time....when you buy a new car the bells and whistles can be very intimidating and they went over the settings the buttons until we were certain we knew what we had b4 we left the dealership.....(Cass R)they did the Penn Dot paper work on line which was so helpful to us it will cut the time in half that it takes waiting on(it can be along time Penn Dot can be very slow) Penn Dot. Overall we would highly recommend this dealership(we have never done business with this dealership b4 but we will be back).......we shopped on line and built the car the other dealerships we called said we would have to wait 4-6 weeks(possibly longer) for the car we wanted.....Brad found the car and had it delivered right away..........the speed in which he found the car was amazing.............I suspect the others dealers we contacted did not even look for the car they just wanted us to order it...... Mike was very knowledgable about the vehicle I eventually bought. Vehicle was competitively priced and we negotiated a fair deal. While I was processing the paperwork with (sorry-don't remember his name but the process was very efficient) Mike contacted my insurance carrier and gave them all the info needed to transfer my insurance. After closing the purchase, Mike spent a considerable amount of time making sure I was aware of all the features the vehicle offered as well as seeing that onstar and XM radio were set up for the 3 month trial. More

So here's a dealership experience you don't expect when purchasing a new vehicle. I spent a total of 11 hours yesterday, to purchase the vehicle I wanted. And no, it wasn't me getting raked over the coal purchasing a new vehicle. I spent a total of 11 hours yesterday, to purchase the vehicle I wanted. And no, it wasn't me getting raked over the coals about my trade or financing options. About 9 of the 11 hours were spent watching Damien Fortson, a young and energetic sales consultant, search for the specific vehicle I had in mind. We all know that can be like finding a needle in a haystack. In fact, aside from special orders, you almost never get the exact vehicle in the color and configuration you envision when you first begin the journey of car buying. Every time we thought we were getting close to my wants and needs in a vehicle, there was something else that turned me against a find. But Damien remained patient. When I finally decided on a vehicle, I was bracing myself for a lengthy negotiation session. It never materialized, so I thought "they're really going to stick it to me in the finance department". I can't say I wasn't a bit disappointed when my prediction failed to come true again. Fred Mansfield had all documentation prepared in no time. I could not find a dollar in the transaction figures that I did not already know I was paying for; no gap insurance or extended warranty. It all went counter to what I've gotten used to in car buying. We negotiated, agreed on vehicle price, agreed on trade-in value, agreed on financing terms, and got paperwork done quickly. With John Morgan orchestrating and helping the team get me what I wanted, I cannot recount a more pleasant feeling after a vehicle purchase. Would I go there to buy another vehicle? Yes. This dealer has been the first dealer to make me feel comfortable with the whole experience. I have bought many new cars and I never felt pressured or duped into getting something I didn't want.
