Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with our service department. On speaking with our service manager, I was informed that we were unable to repair your tire due to the location of the puncture. Per GM guidelines, it is not legal for us to repair a tire when the damage to the tire is in the sidewall or the shoulder of the tire. This is something that you might want to discuss with your master technician, as there may be a potential safety issue. When we were unable to obtain a Michelin tire from GM for your Acadia, we did our best to find someone who might have been able to assist you and recommended a local Michelin dealer. They were also unable to locate a matching tire and informed you that they also would not be able to repair the tire due to safety concerns regarding the location of the damage. Now since your original visit, we have gone a step further and checked the largest online tire dealer and were unable to find the matching Michelin tire that you needed, as they were out of stock and on backorder there as well. We are glad that your master technician was able to find you a new tire and we hope it was a Michelin!
