Worst Dealership EVER! I’ve been trying to find time to do this since I purchased my new vehicle at Jim Browne Dodge of Tampa Bay back in February. I’m active duty military I’ve been trying to find time to do this since I purchased my new vehicle at Jim Browne Dodge of Tampa Bay back in February. I’m active duty military and currently stationed in El Paso, Texas but from time to time get a little time off to visit my family and take care of a couple of things like purchasing a new truck. After looking around at many dealerships Jim Browne Dodge seemed to be the most willing to help, oh my, was I ever wrong. I was looking for something very specific as I had very specific needs with being military and moving often. I needed Ram 1500 Crew Cab with a 6,4ft bed, preferably in black with 4x4 (I was willing to give on color or model). They are particularly on the rarer side because of the length of the truck, but I was very pleased to see that the salesman was able to locate one relatively close by and they were very quick to close the sale and get me to sign documents with a guarantee I would have my truck late the next day. What they found for me was a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie 6,4bed in black. I was very pleased up to this moment and couldn’t wait to see my brand new truck. First day goes by no truck, I was explained that the other dealership where they were picking it up at was unwilling to give up the truck because it’s a “unicorn” and they did not wish to give any rebates on it, also wished to sell it for over sticker price. Needless to say within 5 days later I was getting pretty annoyed with the situation and their customer service which leads me to the following questions. If you weren’t sure that you could get the truck, then why would you sell it to your customer? Why would you guarantee something you aren’t sure you can pull off? Why would you not contact the other dealership and coordinate before running one of your customers for a 50K dollar truck? All valid questions that have still to be answered. No one cared enough to help through the process, not even the GM there. Eventually they were able to locate another truck, but I had to end up settling on it because they couldn’t get the one I actually was sold to begin with. So I ended up with a 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie with a 6,4bed black and grey with no 4x4. Also paying more for it. At this time I thought we were done and this would be the end of dealing with this dealership, but was I ever wrong! A month later they are having problems with the title of my trade, which was a 2013 Ram R/T Regular Cab. I found this funny because even though my vehicle resided in El Paso with me, it was titled and tagged in Florida so this issue should’ve never existed in the first place. Fine, I’ll sign the title paperwork reluctantly. Now I’m back in El Paso so they overnight me the documentation, and as I open it I realize that it’s a completely blank document. I would never in my life put my signature on a completely blank document, would you? So I wait for the dealership to contact me and I tell them what happened. About a week later they do and I explain what happened and they act like it’s not a big deal and send out a proper document. I sign it and send it back, and now they won’t stop calling for these customer service surveys. I already let them know how awful they were, but do you think they have even made an attempt to compensate me for the time and money I lost…..NO! In the end what I’m trying to say is STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Their customer service is a disgrace and they’ll take any chance they can get to abuse their customers! More

Although my salesman I liked a lot and he did a good job of not pressuring me but its his bosses I am not satisfied with. 1) First of all, after I had signed all the papers and went out to leave in my 2014 Jeep I was told there was only one key for the vehicle (I asked that they get me the other key at that point and the sales person said they would contact the previous owner. 2) About half way home I noticed that the dealership had only put a little less than half a tank of gas.(One would think that after purchasing a new vehicle they would at least fill the tank). 3) After I got home I accidentally pressed a button on the steering wheel, so I started going thru the options at which point I notice that my oil in the newly purchased vehicle has only 7 percent life left. So obviously they don't service the vehicles that come in as a trade or the oil would have been changed or you would hope that when you buy a new (had 18000 miles on it) vehicle it would at least come with an oil change. 4) I called the day after I purchases the vehicle and reminded the gentleman (I won't call names here) that did the paperwork and reminded him that I was due a second key for my jeep. He said he would have someone call me......it's been almost a week now and I have not heard a word from anyone....no call ....nothing 5) Now I have a light on my dash that says (left rear signal out and change oil soon). 6) I'm wondering what I will find wrong next. I have only had this vehicle a week!!!!! UPDATE - THE GENERAL MANAGER CALLED ME AND IS GOING TO MAKE EVERYTHING RIGHT!!! I also want to mention that this was the second Jepp I purchased here and the first one I was very satisfied with. If they make things right then I would recommend this Dealership!!!!! More

He met our son and made it a personal mission to find a safe but affordable truck for him. John was great with communicating to us while he was on his quest to find the right truck. The day he found it I don't know who was more excited him or us! Since it was our son's 16th birthday present, John even loaned us a giant bow to put on the hood of the truck. It was a birthday our son will never forget and it would not have been possible without everyone who was involved at the dealership. If you want someone who is passionate about finding you the right car then you should go in and ask for John Frane.. We plan on purchasing all of our future cars at Jim Browne of Tampa Bay. Will never go to any other dealer! We spent our entire Saturday bouncing around dealerships. This was, needless to say, our LAST stop! We arrived at Jim Browne and were greeted by Jasmine. She was our sales representative - and boy was she great! Extremely easy to work with, stuck with OUR agenda- and provided us the information we asked for. Paul was our sales manager- and he did a great job! He advocated for us and worked hard to satisfy our needs. Billy was our finance manager- and he was great in explaining all the terms of our financing, as well as ensuring we weren't in the dealership for hours to complete financing paperwork. So happy we decided to go to Jim Browne. Will never chose any other dealer!! More
Get service elsewhere! I have tried to keep my patience with this dealership because I have to keep bringing my car here, but I cannot keep silent about this any longer. Sin I have tried to keep my patience with this dealership because I have to keep bringing my car here, but I cannot keep silent about this any longer. Since buying my car in 2013 I have spent no less than two hours wasting my time in this dealership every single time I have had to get anything done. One Saturday all I asked for was an oil change and a car detailing. I left my car there ALL DAY because I figured if it takes 2 hours for an oil change I can only imagine how much more time a detail would add. I received no call about it being ready for pick up so I went down at closing time and I STILL ending up waiting over an hour, AFTER CLOSING, for my car to be ready. In late October of last year the cruise control button stopped working on my car. They diagnosed the issue and I was told I would need to come back once a simple button was ordered to be put in my car. I never received a call. I finally called them and they said the part was in. I asked if I should make an appointment to have it put in, as a vain hope to avoid wasting time, and was told "Nope, It'll take just a minute bring it down ANY TIME. I took it down that Friday and was told there were NO TECHS available to work on it. I repeated to the service person what I was told and he said, "Sorry all of our techs are in training." REALLY?? So, furious, I put off going back in for another month. Granted, that was my choice, but I was never told if I don't rush back in there that the part would no longer be there. Well, that is what just happened today. I was told not only that the part was no longer in the facility, but that they would need to REDIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. How is it possible that you people do not have the technology available to keep record of the same exact part that was needed only a few months eariler?? I can tell you what the problem is....I NEED A NEW CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON. So...after waiting nearly two hours this morning I asked if I could just have my car back because I needed to get to work. I was told the oil had been changed, but that they had not had enough time to REDIAGNOSE the same problem I STILL HAVE. I was asked to, please, bring my car back when I had a few hours, TO WASTE, so they could rediagnose a CRUISE CONTROL BUTTON ISSUE. I cannot even imagine how bad it will be when my car has a serious problem. In summary, I strongly discourage anyone from tying theirselves to the service department in this dealership. I almost cannot wait until my warranty is up so I can take my car elsewhere. And Jim Brown, please hire more techs so I can spend more time enjoying my life and not sitting in your waiting room. More
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! LIED TO FROM DAY ONE! wish I had never stepped foot in this place, I purchased a jeep in October 2014 and its been xxxx ever since. Found out that 3 LIED TO FROM DAY ONE! wish I had never stepped foot in this place, I purchased a jeep in October 2014 and its been xxxx ever since. Found out that 3000.00 "bumper to bumper" warranty is NOT bumper to bumper and does not cover what they said. After about two solid weeks of lies and run around I had the opportunity to speak with Glen Bowles who is the manager, instantly he was defensive, rude and by far very unprofessional ...I was simply addressing my bad experiences over the last two weeks and them having my jeep 6 straight days and still was not able to get the work done, and was returned with more problems than it started with... he so arrogantly laughed like it was a joke, I made a comment about not knowing what to do or if I should consult an attorney about the misleading information and lies I was told and immediately he had me removed from the property and asked that I do not ever return. I was told at the time of purchase I had to bring my jeep there to be serviced, and again my jeep started leaking.. the service tech had to ask Glen if I could return to have my jeep repaired!!! Needless to say every time I walk in there I am watched like a hawk to see if I talk to any customers, this past time I was there I was talking to other customers with very similar issues and they were not happy either, I was told if I step foot back onto their property I will be removed. And finding out the work order they wrote up for my jeep was not written to describe all of the problem, and they refused to correct it. this way it was not related to the last repair and so conveniently wont be covered. There is soooo much more, and I am currently working with Chrysler to get to the bottom of this scam they are running over there. And the owners manual with my insurance cards and registration were taken out of my glove box when it was in for repair last... they have done nothing but try and screw me over from day 1. I REGRET I DID NOT READ THESE REVIEWS BEFORE I BOUGHT MY JEEP THERE. Its hard to believe that these 5 star ratings aren't people that are related or paid to write such xx... the only five stars they would get from me would be negative 5!. I have purchased many vehicles over the years and ive had unpleasant experiences but this took the cake! I have never written a review before but I feel like people should know what they are walking into..I wish I did. More
